I knew it was bad the moment I got in his car. I just knew something would happen if I stayed. I could've gotten out before he drove off, but my body doesn't seem to cooperate with my brain at the moment. So now I'm stuck here in this moving prison—just the two of us—with him as my captor.

He's visibly driving slower than he usually did. Although the last time I was in his car was years ago, I'm pretty sure he's doing this on purpose, making me more uneasy in my seat that I have to readjust the seatbelt several times because it feels as though it's choking me.

Giovanni doesn't speak to me the whole car ride and part of me thanks him for it, but then the other part of me wishes he'd talk because the silence is quite deafening. The car smells like him, expensive and sexy. I'm bathing in his fragrance right now and I can't say I'm complaining.
