[ Gianna: 🥱ok mama I love you ]
I feel a tiny prick in my chest at the words on my screen.
[ Me: I love you too, my little star. Sweet dreams. ]
Then I send a GIF of a bear with hearts. She responds one more time with a bear that's sleeping in bed. At first, I didn't like that she had a phone. She's too young. But I can't deny that it's very convenient to contact her. And so far, she has been a good girl, only using it to contact me and doesn't go online unless she asks for my permission. I monitor her usage as much as I can. She really only uses it to text or call me, and on rare occasions to watch cat videos.
With a smile still on my face, I put my phone away and look for Keith. I'll head home first if he's still staying. I'm tired and I just want to go home now. However, I don't see him in the ballroom hall. I decide to look for him. Perhaps he's out for some fresh air or something.
