Chapter 17 - Chapter 5 - Malia (1)

My life has been complicated lately ever since I got the job at The Manor. Because of my work hours, I had to quit the part-time jobs since my hours at the club occupy a huge chunk of my night and during the day, I take care of my mother. It took some adjustment on my part since I'm used to sleep before midnight. But now, I'm awake until the wee hours of the morning depending on my shift. I usually start at the opening shift, but there are some nights that I cover closing too. But the pay is good, so I have no complaints.

I couldn't afford to complain when I badly need the money. The garage has informed me that my car needs a total overhaul and it's going to take so much work. Like Giovanni De Luca said, it's better to junk it, but I can't bare to part with Bee yet. I don't think I'll ever be ready. That car and I have been through so much, it hurt even just thinking about it. I'm overly attached to my stuff–given I don't have plenty.
