I came from nothing" said Rithrodin. And from what I can tell, it sure looks like that you come from wealth and riches. Seronn nodded agreeing to Rithrodin. These forests took me in when I had nothing and they have given me the little things that I now have. He gave Seronn a drink but Seronn refused him politely. Do you mind if I have a warm drink to make myself a little more comfortable? he asked him. Yes please, replied Seronn. I was not born her, unlike the others, he said. As he that his eyes went pale and his tone went weak. I was born in the kingdom, he said to Seronn. General Marcus, I served under. He was a great leader, General Marcus. We all looked up to him. To us , when we were young, he was a beacon of hope and strength! Rithrodin's voice became a lot stronger as he was reminded about the presence of General Marucs. He kept this drink down and adjusted his coat. Things started to turn bad when he died. There was a lot of enemies of Marcus in the kingdom who dare not speak when he was alive. When he died , the voices from the shadows started to seep up. The closest allies of Marcus were treated as traitors. I was one of them, a close ally of General Marcus. When he died, I was one of his confidantes. So, naturally I was targeted. I was branded a traitor and I was set to hang. Hang for all to see! Rithrodin picked his drink up and sipped it again. How did you escape? asked Seronn. There was a man called Johinir, a high ranking soldier like I was. He helped me escape from prison, answered Rithrodin.
"And then I ran away from the kingdom, in my horse. I crossed the great mountains, crossed the North and ended up here. I suppose you must have come the same way! said Rithrodin. I suppose so, replied Seronn! He looked at Seronn. May I smoke the pipe? he asked him. You may, said Seronn. Rithrodin kept the drink down and lit his pipe. That is what makes me a little scared of you, said Rithrodin and looked into the eyes of Seronn. No man who is scared of the dark comes here voluntarily. Only a man that is running away from something comes here, he said. " And to me, it looks like you are running towards something". He leaned forward and puffed a huge ball of smoke. "You are running towards something that is here"! Seronn was about to take his gun out and shoot Rithrodin. But again! maybe you are just lost like I was, said Rithrodin. Seronn was a bit relieved. "I'm just lost" he said! Ever since a boy! he uttered to himself. What was that? asked Rithrodin. It is nothing, replied Seronn shaking his head!
Seronn sat back, for a second there he was reminded of his childhood...
Before all this, before he became who he is now. When he had a brother, when he was in Planet Xenon. There were not many people that went to school in the planet Xenon. Most of them were being homeschooled. They were being modeled to take over their family business. There were large family enterprises that existed in Zenon, that were passed on from one generation to another. Although, Seronn and his brother had a business, they were set to inherit. Their parents wanted them to go to school with the other children. They were not put through the most illustrious schools for many reasons. One of them being that the best schools that made the public administrators and government officials were far away! So they went the two brothers to a very normal school. It was the happiest time in Seronn's life. There was no worry, nor troubles that came to him. Seronn sat now thinking, if that was the reason that his parents would put him in such a school, so that he experiences the normal things in life. That he did not have to think about the future that much and get a planning mindset from the beginning! Seronn and his brother were not given luxuries like the rest of their peers and they did not seem to mind it. And when Seronn wanted something expensive his father would say. "There is no luxury in getting anything you want Seronn." If I give you things like the rest of the others, you would lose value in these things. It would not matter to you as you grow up!. In fact son, he would say. You would lose the joy of life now. There is great pride in living a normal life. Seronn sat there laughing! Did my father know what I was destined to become! He sat there as Rithrodin came back with another pipe and sat down and smoked it! There was a knock on the door!
