The Shinjit Tournament has just begun.
And Kai Yuki, instead of attending to important guests is running.
Running from Muerlo's gang once more.
"I won't be humiliated again."
Kai Yuki swore bitterly as he ran away rapidly.
Kai instantly remembered the jutsu gifted to him by Kyoto.
The hiding in mist jutsu. With this, enough water vapor would be produced for him to make ice constructs far faster and stronger.
As Kai turned around ready to release the hiding in mist jutsu, his body had other plans.
He felt himself getting stronger rapidly. It felt like his right side was burning.
He saw the silhouette of a titan.
Muerlo had come for him in person.
Kai wanted to perform the jutsu but the right side of his body was charging forth. Kai attempted to hold himself back but before he knew it, he had hit Muerlo square in the center of his chest.
Boom.
Muerlo's body was sent crashing down the poorly lit hallway.
Kai breathed in and out hoarsely.
"Hah?"
He had been trying to perform the hidden mist jutsu but now he had just one-shot Muerlo?
Kai saw traces of grey on his right side.
Recently he had been waking up drained of chakra. Could it have been accredited to this all along?
Kai stopped thinking.
A crossway formed in his mind.
If he kept fueling the grey power contaminating him, he might gain pride but lose something bigger.
But if he stopped now, he would be put in his place like a dog once more.
Kai breathed out heavily.
"No. I won't become a dog to this disease."
Kai woke up in heavy pants.
"Ah. It was just a dream..."
He wiped the sweat off his face and began his morning routine.
There were still a few days before the Shinjit tournament began. A few hefty simple days.
Kai had been gifted the hiding in mist jutsu to assist his ice style. It was simple to learn and easy to put into practice. Now Kai just had to work on his physical abilities.
In his dream, he had sent Muerlo knocking with one blow but looking at himself now, failing to even complete 20 pushups in a row. It truly was just a dream.
Kai stopped his jog halfway in a bushy area.
There he saw a boy.
"Why did you kill my parents?"
Kai felt bitter. This was clearly in his head.
"Go away."
The boy vanished.
Kai smirked.
"That's better."
As Kai kept turning corners the boy was there asking the same damned question.
"Why?"
"Why did-."
"Why did you."
"Why did you kill-."
"Why did you kill us."
The pair of parents now stood before Kai.
Kai merely raised his eyebrows.
"That's a new one."
He was feeling too tired to be traumatized by these images. He had accepted his mistake and even saved a life.
He couldn't change the past. Only history could do that.
As Kai turned the corner once more, the boy reappeared but this time he stabbed him with the kunai.
"Wha-."
Kai woke up again.
Kai pinched himself again and again to confirm reality.
He hadn't believed such complicated dreams to have ever even existed.
He then began his day as usual.
Kyoto woke several hours after Kai. He took care of the girl, Shina, and then took on his day as usual.
The days were rather slow upcoming to the Shinjit tournament.
He wondered where Kai was but shook it off.
That boy was going all sorts of places these days.
And then Kyoto returned to the house and there stood Orochimaru.
Kyoto instantly got into a combat stance creating a shadow clone to run away with Shina.
"What the hell do you want Orochimaru?"
Orochimaru looked at Kyoto sweetly.
"Don't bother attacking me. I'm just a mud clone."
Kyoto didn't care he began some hand signs.
"Rather if you do attack me, expect the boy to die."
Kyoto slowed down his handsigns.
"Kai?"
Orochimaru nodded villainously.
"He's with me and so are his genes. Now if you don't mind I have a trade."
Kyoto looked around him in suspicion.
"Speak."
The fake Orochimaru chortled.
"Your sharingan for the boy, alive and well. You should know what will happen if you deny this trade."
Kyoto shrugged. Confident that Orochimaru couldn't do a thing with all his might. He probably didn't have the Edo-Tensei at this point either.
"Sure. Where does it commence."
The fake Orochimaru smirked.
"Here."
"Nope. I won't have confirmation. Take me to your lair or whatever you have here."
Orochimaru nodded reluctantly leading Kyoto to somewhere on the outskirts of the Village hidden in the grass.
"Here it is."
A door opened from the ground, revealing a shady basement. A sleeping Kai was present.
Kyoto sighed.
"Earth-Jutsu of this level wouldn't fool a genin."
Orochimaru looked away in shyness. Soon Kai and the rest of the lair sunk into gooey mud.
"Here I am with the boy."
Kyoto looked behind him, he sensed the chakra levels, and everything added up.
The sound of a weeping dragon emerged. Kyoto's eyes spun into mangekyou.
"Aight thanks."
Kyoto walked off with Kai. Orochimaru grunted within some strange genjutsu where he was stuck in silken webs.
He could only watch as both of his prizes left swiftly.
Kyoto looked down eerily fast.
"He's real..."
The two returned to the house. Kyoto added a few shadow clones around to secure it. He was now extra cautious of Orochimaru.
Shina was happily playing with some ice figurines.
Kyoto took one last look at Kai.
"Strange."
His curse mark had unexpectedly grown in size.
His disheveled hair had slid down his face sweatily.
Kyoto dropped him suddenly.
"Water style: Water gun jutsu."
Two rapid bullets of water blasted into Kai waking him up in outrage.
"What the hell are you doing?"
Kyoto cackled evilly.
"You've missed your daily workout. Get to it."
Kyoto booted Kai out the house. Kai pouted in disgrace.
"I'll get my revenge one-."
A hiss came into his ears.
"For that you'll need pow-."
"Shut up."
Kai shook his head miserably.
"Who the hell asked for your tiny power?"
The hiss retorted in pain.
"You did. That's why I'm here in the first-."
"Shut up."
"Just go back into your little seal."
The hisses were speechless.
Kai laughed as he kept on running. He already felt like he had ran 2 laps in the dream-world.
"Yeah I know where you come from. It doesn't take a genius to figure it out."
"I swear. The second I leave this place, you're getting sealed up."
The seal retorted with hisses.
"Sealing your potential is foolish."
Kai sniffed jerkily.
"The only potential you have to offer me is my potential to go deaf and insane from your annoying voice."
"I bet you have bad breath too."
The voice felt attacked. Holding back for just a moment.
"Fine."
It retreated.
Kai breathed out smoothly.
Being a jerk in his current mood wasn't so bad after all.
(Rate my filler-no--jutsu.) But yeah this is all now canon to this fanfic.
