Chapter 3 - Livestream Anchor

Su Yu was pulled from his thoughts when the doorbell rang loudly. "Comiff!" he spoke with the bread still stuffed in his mouth as he walked to the door. He didn't even look through the peephole to know who it was and just directly opened the door.

"Wah… look at your hair that is worse than a bird's nest!" Han Yao told Su Yu as he pushed Su Yu inside. "Also, you definitely didn't look into the peephole again to know who arrived, right?" he asked when he saw Su Yu's sleepy expression. Just look at how Su Yu carelessly eats his bread. Is he not afraid of being choked to death?! He thought and rolled his eyes as he locked the door shut. "You ah… have you not recalled how those stupid and crazy fans thrashed your doors before that even your neighbors have called the resident manager and the police?!" he asked as he looked at Su Yu who obviously is not listening to him. "Do you want to move residence again?!" he said and heaved a big sigh as he watched the other sat on the couch and watch the news.

Su Yu ignored Han Yao, as usual. He knows how much of a nagger Han Yao is. After all, he is the one who first found him when he came into this world. Han Yao was also the one who provided him an identity card, just introducing him as his distant relative who came from the province and wanted to develop in the city.

Because of his face, Han Yao asked him if he wanted to be a livestream anchor after Su Yu has finished learning everything of this world. Su Yu agreed and his path to becoming a livestream anchor has begun.

Han Yao signed him in Fanfan Livestream where he is working and assigned him as a beauty anchor. Many fans naturally flocked to his side because his beauty is really a disaster. Not to mention that he is a smooth talker. He knows how to set up the mood. But, this caused for some beauty anchors to get angry and accused Su Yu for stealing their fans. Han Yao doesn't want Su Yu to get into trouble, and so he can't send Su Yu to the game anchor department.

Just when Han Yao is in a dilemma, the president suggested for Su Yu to become a horror anchor, to which made Han Yao stunned. Not only because the horror anchor department has not set up yet, but also because Su Yu… and horror? But, to Han Yao's surprise, Su Yu immediately agreed. Han Yao naturally felt worried because not only Su Yu declined the company's arrangement to have him use a set up horror house, but Su Yu actually went to find a real horror house! This gave Han Yao a big headache. Not only Han Yao felt that Su Yu would lose his life, but Han Yao also felt that he would also lose his job to lose such a good seedling like this!

But, to everyone's surprise, not only did Su Yu not lose his life, he also did not lose his fans! Instead, his fans increased more because they found that Su Yu is not only brave, but he is also very daring to explore all the areas of the haunted house, as if he is just walking around a gallery! Thus, Su Yu became even more popular.

"Eh? Why are you watching this gross news so early in the morning?" Han Yao asked. His voice pulled Su Yu from his thoughts. "And even when having breakfast!" Han Yao added as he picked up the remote control and turned off the TV. Then, he turned to look at Su Yu whose face is deadpan, completely the opposite when the other is doing his livestream.

Han Yao can't help but think if the other has a dual personality.

"I knew that you will be coming, so I didn't bother to look at the peephole." Su Yu spoke.

Han Yao. "…" isn't this answer too late, young man? He thought and sighed. Well, what Su Yu said is true. Because he saw how ignorant Su Yu is of the world before, even if Su Yu has already learned the ways of the world, still, Han Yao can't help but worry about the other.

Not to mention of the bad incident with Su Yu's fans before. Thus, he would always come here in the morning when he has the time to check on Su Yu, afraid that Su Yu's black fans would attack Su Yu again.

"Hey. Have you already decided which haunted place to go next for your livestream?" Han Yao asked Su Yu.

"Not yet." Su Yu answered as he finished his bread before he lied down on the sofa like a corpse inside the coffin.

Han Yao's brow twitched. He should be used to this… this is just Su Yu's quirk as a horror anchor… he thought. As he watched Su Yu's livestreams, he has noticed that Su Yu really has a knock of these supernatural things. So, he didn't feel that much worried about Su Yu anymore.

"I have a place here." Han Yao said as he took out a folder from his bag and handed it to Su Yu.

But, Su Yu didn't take it. "Which place is it?" he asked.

"The Purple Old Manor." Han Yao answered.

Su Yu's attention was caught. "That old residence of the wealthy family Lei?" he said.

Han Yao smiled. "You've done your own research." He said as he placed the folder on the coffee table. "Yes. It is really the old residence of the Lei family. But, all of them have already migrated overseas and no one was left now, even just to take care of it." He sat across Su Yu. "Naturally, since the family has migrated overseas, the old manor would be sold. But, no one wanted to buy it." He told Su Yu.

"Because it was haunted." Su Yu muttered.

"Yes." Han Yao nodded in affirmation. "At first, the people thought that it was just rumors created by the enemies of the Lei family. But, some witnesses said that they heard some quarreling and wails in the old manor, which had long been abandoned." He said. "So, the people guessed that the migration of the Lei family is suspicious. They think that a crime has happened in the old manor. So, until now, no one wanted to buy the old manor." He explained.

"… oh." Su Yu was indifferent.

Han Yao helplessly smiled. "Come on. Show some enthusiasm. Many horror anchors from the other platforms are eyeing this place." He told him.
