(1 week later)
"Ughhh no matter how many times I sit here and listen to Professor Port and his grand adventures I always find myself getting sleepy" Mitch grumbled as he yawned loudly only to receive a jab from Ania who was busy listening. "Honestly what is talking about this time" tuning back into the lecture he caught the words "Nearing the end of my food supply I said Peter you have a choice here….."
"Good god if ever there was a test on his lectures I'd fail…" Mitch thought to himself as he was glad at least the homework was on actual subjects and not his many vaunted adventures which was dubbed by him "
"Peter's Pointless and Peerless Quests". "Finding a bush full of berries I thought they might possibly be edible, why jackpot I said to myself stripping the branches bare until then a horrible realization hit me….." "I hope he found out they were poisonous" Mitch grunted as he stared at the clock eagerly watching the second hand ticking over even though it was nowhere near closer to the class ending.
"….The poison was quickly spreading throughout my body so I said to myself Peter my boy you must throw it up…" "Each adventure he has is so enthralling" Tom said sitting back after taking down notes eager to hear how the great Peter escaped this predicament. "…..munching grass like a cow….." "Say when we graduate maybe we could go on awesome adventures like this" Alan whispered to Mitch who rolled his eyes "I'd like to hope our adventures are a bit more action packed with fighting" "…throwing up the poison right onto my bedding…."
"….adventure was nearly complete as I stared down the evil fiend raising my weapon to deliever the final blow…" the bell ringing echoed around the room as Tom sighed "Awww I wanted to hear how it ended" "He got defeated and died and the man we see sitting before you is in fact the murder of Peter and is duly called Professor Port as well" "Say you'd be good at telling stories Mitch" Alan chuckled as Mitch jumped over the desk and started walking out "Oh god no now I have a horrible image of me with a moustache like that talking like him" shuddering he pushed the image aside and headed towards their next class with Professor Urihara.
Today's lesson was to be held on the oval as the Professor stood in the centre addressing the class "For today's class I want everyone to find a spot by themselves and practice utilising your semblance, if you have a deeper understanding to how your semblance works you'll be able to make it stronger". Done with his speech everyone went to a separate area of the oval and began to practice using their semblance as some sat in meditation concentrating while others were testing it out.
Tom was sitting down deep in thought focusing on how he utilised his semblance "In order to strengthen mine I have to gain a deeper understanding of not only how my body works but the very fabric of time itself around me". Opening one eye he watched everyone conducting their own business but was paying particular detail to how their bodies moved but not just the people but the very atmosphere around them from the plants to even the wind. "The wind?" he mumbled to himself noticing a particularly strong breeze coming from a certain area as he glanced over to see Sky with her eyes closed two mini gusts of wind forming around her as she was balancing her chakra's on top. He began to pay closer attention to how relaxed and calm her body was and the breathing she was doing to keep her semblance as still as possible.
"I have this feeling someone is watching me" Sky thought as she had this itching feeling coming from the back of her neck. Opening her eyes she quickly glanced across and found Tom sitting there staring intensely at her almost lost in a trance "H-hhhe's staring at me!" Sky thought as that split second she lost her concentration sending a violent gust of wind racing away knocking into Jaune who was launched into the air before face planting straight onto the ground. "Oh my god Jaune I'm so sorry!" Sky broke away from looking at Tom to see if Jaune was alright but in the back of her mind she couldn't forget the image of his face staring at her as she went bright red.
"Glad I stayed away from that scene" Mitch muttered to himself as he flicked on his lighter a small flame appearing which moved straight towards his open right hand. The ball of fire danced between his fingers as he closed his eyes increasing the size until it was as big as his head before he separated it into four. "You have a surprising amount of control over your semblance" Ania's voice came from a few feet away as a pink blur emerged with her standing just in front of him. "Considering I learnt my semblance at the age of 3 and ever since I was left alone was using it at every chance I had I'd like to think that it would have grown". Clicking his fingers multiple tiny explosions shook the head as another voice was heard this time Alan's "AHHH DON'T BURN MY HAIR OFF!"
Smoke was seen wafting from behind Ania as Alan emerged from nowhere his hair wafting with bits of smoke as he frantically patted it "Who the hell told you to sneak around unseen while I was playing with fire" "What I was hoping I'd be able to make it so my semblance would eliminate sound as well while I moved". "Considering the sound of your footsteps was covered by my explosion I'd say the jury is still out on that theory" Ania said tapping her feet to the ground as she vanished a pink blur darting through everyone as she appeared on the other side of the oval.
"Alright guys before this class ends how about we check out a few other semblances and learn about them" the Professor called out before pointing at Tom "How about you Tom care to show us your semblance?" "My semblance centre's around the manipulation of time, with it I can speed up or slow down time around me in order to avoid attacks or to gain a better grasp of the situation around me. As of right now I can only maintain it for a short amount of time but I have learnt how to bring others into my semblance by them holding onto me".
"Well let's grab a demonstration then" the Professor called Mitch up who had a fire ball hovering around the palm of his hand "So you shall throw the ball at me and I'll use my semblance to dodge it" "Yeah, yeah I understand the drill" Mitch grumbled hurling it towards Tom as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath focusing his thoughts on the area around him. As he felt the sound of people talking, the birds chirping and the grass blowing beneath his feet becoming a slow slur of words he opened his eyes to find the fireball was moving towards him at a snails pace. Casually he stepped to the right and then back to the centre before time resumed as normal and the fireball crashed into the ground behind him.
Now to the class watching all it merely looked like was that Mitch had missed the attack when in reality their sense of time and perception was so slow that Tom who moved at a regular speed was practically teleporting to them. "Tom's semblance is so awesome" Sky whispered to Lena who rolled her eyes "Oh come on we all know you're saying that because he's your crush" "SHUT UP!" a violent gust of wind sent Lena toppling over as Sky whose face was bright red couldn't look at Tom who was paying no attention to her whatsoever.
"Excellent I have always found semblances that manipulate time and senses to be a fascinating concept and now let's try Patrick's out" "Psh saved the best till last" he grunted standing up as Mitch glared across at him "This should be good" he mumbled under his breath as the leader of team PWND glared at him back before taking to the front of the class.
