TWO WEEK LATER
Bianca's stay at TDE hasn't been smooth but it wasn't as tough as she was expecting it to be. The workload on her table is sometimes too much and sometimes very few but most importantly the fluctuating mood of Kingsley, her boss.
Sometimes he acts like you disgust him and sometimes he acts all calm and humane not to talk of the harassment she got from Irys the other day.
*Flashback*
Irys had arrived at the office that morning but unfortunately, Kingsley wasn't around and she had to wait for him at his office since she has already informed him.
A few minutes later, Kingsley got back to the office with Bianca. They had attended a brief meeting together.
"Hey, baby" She stood up to kiss him immediately he stepped inside his office followed by Bianca holding a file behind him.
"Sorry for keeping you waiting," he said softly.
"It's okay" She kissed him one more time.
Due to their lovey-dovey display, Bianca couldn't greet her as she just drooped the files and made to go back to her office.
"Hey" She called rudely.
"Ma'am"
I'm sure you have eyes or am I suddenly invisible that you can't greet? She asked looking at her with disdain.
I'm sorry
"Now greet" She commanded.
"Bianca hesitated before saying " Good morning Miss Irys"
"Good. Now, get me a cup of coffee. Make it creamy" She commanded.
Bianca bowed her head before leaving to get it done.
"Babe that was harsh. You shouldn't talk to people like that" Kingsley complained.
Why are you suddenly complaining? Huh? What makes her special that I can't talk to her the way I like? She questions him.
"Irys, she's my staff. I need you to stop treating them like they're less of a human being because you're my woman. Please stop" Kingsley complained calmly.
You said it yourself," I'm your woman" which is why you should take sides with me instead of them," She said kissing him with her hands wondering all over his body.
Suddenly there was a knock at the door and Bianca entered at the hearing of "Come in".
She met him seated on the edge of his desk and Irys in between his legs sitting on his laps.
"Here is your coffee, ma'am" She handed it over to her but immediately after Irys saw it, she lost her cool.
I said very creamy. Are you suddenly deaf or something? She yelled while Kingsley was trying to calm her down.
I'm sorry.....
"Zzhiiip" She emptied the coffee on her face and Bianca yelped in pain.
Irys!!!!Kingsley screamed out angrily.
"Don't you ever talk while I'm talking to you" Irys warned Bianca.
I said stop this madness, Irys.
What is wrong with you? He yelled at her and Bianca rushed out of his office.
Wait, did you just yell at me right before that thing? She cursed.
She's not a thing, Irys.
She's a human being too just like you for crying out loud. That Coffee was hot, Irys" He said trying so much to compress his anger.
"Does it look like I care? Listen to me, I won't stand here and watch you yell at me because of that thing. Good day, Kingsley" She said and walked out.
Bianca rushed to the toilet to cry and clean her face which was now looking like a Tomato.
Immediately after Irys left, he called on Mandy to come over to his office. Apparently, Mandy knew what happened and had tried to console Bianca in the rest room but she wasn't yielding and she had to go back to her office. She has been through that process, so she knows exactly how it feels.
"Here" He gave his card to her.
I know you're aware of what just happened, so, go get your friend a decent cloth to change into and probably an ointment for her face" He said.
"Okay," Mandy whom it was obvious she wasn't happy said and left.
An hour later, she got back into the office and Bianca had already changed into the new clothes before he walked into her office.
Her light skin cheek was burning red and her eyes were so red too.
"Bianca" He called.
Sir" she quickly composed herself.
Thank you for the cloth sir.
"It's fine. I'm sorry for what transpired earlier" he said in a tone he has never used before.
Bianca only nodded, faking a smile.
How is your cheek, does it hurt that much? He asked
"Yes," She couldn't lie about that.
"You can close for the day and make sure you get some rest," he said.
Sir, I can..." Bianca was worried he might sack her.
It's fine, it's an order.
"Thank you sir" she reluctantly said.
"Good," he said and left the office
*FLASHBACK ENDS*
Since that day, they haven't seen Irys come around again.
Meanwhile, Kingsley wasn't at the office and there was just too much for Bianca to do at the office that she barely had time for lunch if not for Mandy.
Kingsley didn't come to the office because he was down with his usual migraine again.
That evening he called on Irys to come over at least just to sit with him since he hates going to the hospital and no medication can cure him.
📞 Babe please can you come over, I need your company tonight. The migraine is getting the best of me again" he said weakly.
📞 Oh my baby. I'm already out with my friends for a birthday celebration. Call on your maid. I'm sure you'll be fine babe" She said nonchalantly.
📞 Babe, you mean I should let the maid do your duty? He asked
📞 Cmon babe, stop making a big deal out of this. Don't worry, I'll check up on you tomorrow since it's Saturday, okay bye, love you" she said and ended the call before he could even say another word.
Dickson wasn't in town either. He traveled on official trip. Immediately the house help called on him about his brother's health because he hasn't stepped out of his room since morning and he isn't allowing anyone to come closer to him as well.
After the call, he contemplated on who to call before he finally settled down for someone unusual.
