Immediately a car pulled into the compound, the brothers stared at each other. They decided not to move an inch and just wait till the devil shows herself.
While waiting, Dickson was trying to subdue his anger by tapping continuously on the balcony's metal.
"Hello, my boys," a feminine voice says from a distance so close to them.
The not-so-young woman approached them with a broad smile on her face.
"Look at my babies" she tried to hug them but they both gave her a stare that says " Don't you dare".
What now? Is that how to welcome your mother? She said with her hands thrown into the air like a child.
"Hello Evil woman, point of correction We don't have a mother. So I would advise you to stop posing as one" Dickson said angrily.
That's an absurd way to talk to the woman who gave you life, you hear me? She yelled.
Really? Dickson asked and couldn't help laughing.
What do you want Alicia? Kingsley that have been quite asked calmly.
"That's my son," She said with a charming smile while he just scoffed sipping from his just-filled glass of alcohol.
"By the way, I came to see how my boys are doing and of course, how they're handling my company," She said with so much confidence.
Hahaha, you're so unbelievable.
Did I hear you say "my company"? You must be sick and out of your goddam mind" Dickson yelled at her.
Watch how you talk to me you son of a bitch.
"Oh yes, you're a bitch but the only problem is that I'm not your son" Dickson fired back.
Alicia, I'm only going to ask you one more time before I ask security to throw you out. What are you doing here? Kingsley asked again, this time with a fierce voice.
Alicia sat down comfortably on the chair with her legs crossed.
I'm here to resume the position that is rightfully mine, which is the chairwoman of Douglas Empire" she said and all Kingsley could do was laugh while Dickson gave her a disgustful look...
You can laugh all you want but...
"Now listen to me Alicia" Kingsley interrupted her with so much rage and fire burning in his eyes.
You lost that right when you left your dying husband and your so-called sons all alone 15 years ago. You lost that right when your last son was killed in a ghastly motor accident but you never showed up even at his burial. What sort of a mother does that? I mean your type actually" Kingsley scoffed.
"Well, that wasn't my fault," she said nonchalantly.
"Of course, it wasn't your fault, it's the fault of our father who got married to a devil instead of a human being," Kingsley said.
"You can't deprive me of my right as long as I still have Douglas to my name," she said with pride.
Oh lord, what the hell is wrong with you, woman?
You know what, it's time to leave else I'll call the security on you" Dickson threatened.
She rose from her seat and smiled at them " I'll be back again, soon," she said and left them.
"Fuccckkk" Dickson coursed immediately she was out of sight, slamming his hands on the metal he was placing his hands earlier.
Kingsley on the other hand walked gently back into his bedroom and lay on the bed. This drew the attention of Dickson because he knew something was wrong with him earlier.
He trailed behind him to his bedroom and touched his forehead for his temperature and he was burning hot.
"Not again bro," Dickson said with so much emotion.
Kingsley has never been the same since they lost their dad and brother. Their father died in his arms that faithful night and it affected him so much that he couldn't control his emotions and this had resulted in a serious migraine that no medication could cure except when it chooses to let him be.
The migraine started last night and he was only trying to be strong that morning when he learned that Alicia was in town.
He was sweating profusely and shivering at the same time. Dickson got a towel and water to place on his forehead. He stayed with him till he was finally asleep and calm.

On Monday morning at the office,
"Here is your coffee, sir," Mandy said after placing it on his desk.
Where is the file I gave you to sort out? He asked with his eyes still fixed on his laptop.
I'm done with it. I'll be right back.
Mandy rushed to go get the files for him.
Mandy held his breath the moment he started going through them.
Mandy? He called calmly.
Sir.
Are you okay? He asked still maintaining his tone and expression.
Yes sir.
Are your eyes and ears working perfectly? He asked, this time staring into her eyes.
Yes sir
Then what is this trash on my desk? He asked still in a calm tone.
Bu...but sir I...
Mandy" he called again rubbing his forehead in frustration.
Sir.
Get this out of my sight this minute and do the needful but just in case you come back here with the same trash, you should have also cleared your desk out so that I can employ a more competent secretary. Do you hear me? He yelled this time
"Yes..yes sir" she stammers and quickly grabs the file and went out.
