Chapter 19 - Chapter 19

"My daughter is missing, you've to find her, you understand?!!!!!" Lara screamed.

"To my chagrin, she is nowhere to be seen, yet we are doing our best ma'am, we'll find her soon". A Police responded.

"Oh yeah, you sure will", Lara took umbrage at his response.

"Sir, we've checked the CCTV footage outside your mansion, but she ran and turned her lane, I'm afraid, that lane has no CCTV she walked in". Officer adduced.

"Well, there might be some people who saw her", Raghav replied.

"Usually, that place isn't safe. Apparently, people find that place dangerous, ever since that crime scene was held in nearby resident". Officer reported.

Lara sits back in vexation. She was shuffling her feet, rolling the paper weight, and even spilled water.

"wha' what kind of crime scene?!", Lara posed.

Officer -in-charge beared by all accounts in mind.

"he was a young teen, most likely he self defensed himself, but brutally. His father petitioned in the court of having him not guilty and even in opposition to bringing him to trial for juvenile crime. His father was DIG, our head".

"Is there any possibility of...you know?!" Lara supplicates.

"Ma'am I am sorry, this was held a day before Shana's non-appearance or even abduction. And Mr. Raghav, as I said, people presumably may not be present after the crime scene, our evidence is inflexible. No doubt, Some unintentional hints may furnish a clue that will result in the solution of the case. Ma'am don't worry, we are at your service. She'll be found soon. Like,  We have to look for the eyewitnesses.

People present at the time of the commission of the crime. Those who will discover the crime, or

came in shortly thereafter, Witnesses who saw the perpetrator

leaving the scene, or Witnesses know the events leading up to the crime".

officer-in-charge stated and also endorse case to the sub-Inspector for inquiry.

Lara's sudden towering rages grew higher. "why are you frequently bringing up crime scenes?! She isn't dead, don't  you understand!!".

"Ma'am we are sorry for the inconvenience but crime scenes aren't always related to a person's body. It can include buildings, vehicles, or objects found at those places. Like,

biological evidence (e.g., blood, body fluids, hair and other tissues).

latent print evidence (e.g., fingerprints, palm prints, foot prints).

footwear and tire track evidence.

trace evidence (e.g., fibers, soil, vegetation, glass fragments)

digital evidence (e.g., cell phone records, Internet logs, email messages)

tool and tool mark evidence ,drug evidence, firearm evidence". Officer stated reading the list of evidence collection for the team of crime scene personnel who will search the scene and collect the evidence.

Raghav overstepped their conversation.

"Look, officer, Shana is my daughter, do whatever you need to find her. We ain't giving an year to solve an abduction. Find her in 10 days".

"At your servics, sir". He left, motioning with his team nearly 5 in the morning.

Raghav sat behind Lara's seat and wraped face with his own hands. Lara shed tears, wiped her nose with the dupatta hung at her shoulders.

Raghav felt contrited about divulging his past to shana. There sad story was laid bare to her which made her run away from him, which made her change lane, which led to abduction or what not.

"Lara, its my fault", Raghav gave a big sigh, nearly in tears.

"what do you mean?", Lara wept.

"She came to me, I told her everything", Raghav confessed.

"Who The Fuck You Think You Are !!!!! Raghav, do you even  realize what a mother goes through when her daughter suddenly stays away from home even for a day. She being out for more than 15 minutes elevates my blood pressure! Do you know how it feels when she's not home for 2 days!!!!!!!!", Lara shrieked.

"She insisted, as if like you were any innocent, lara!", He yelled.

"Raghav, it isn't about me and you anymore. It was for her own good. Are you happy confessing now?!", Lara let out a wail.

"Exactly, its never anything between me and you", he left in wrath.

Raghav knew its his position which made officers a bit more active than usual. Everybody knows him to be of high estate. Meanwhile, he met shyra sitting outside, holding a bag.

"If you were my blood, she wouldn't be gone!",  Raghav yelled at her.

"And if you could grasp that love doesn't require blood, she wouldn't be gone", she replied, keeping her cool.

Raghav eyed her leaving by.

Shyra entered the police department .

She went upto her mother as fast as her feet could take her. Lara was characteristically bleating her eyes out. In no time, she tugged her mother in arms.

Shyra tried to grasp the situation. Her mind boggles at the report.

"Is there anything we already know but still revolving around her whereabouts?", she hypothesized.

Lara gave a secretive pinning glance.

She tried recalling but found nothing.

Shyra unblocked Raghav's number and texted the same. She knew her sister to be secretive. Shyra had a deep reflective thought about her historic activities, and took a trip down to her memory lane. If shana had a fight in school or someone bullied her, she would put her emotions out of sight and confabulate it to street dogs. Although, shyra often sneaked her when lucky enough.

Her activities weren't so normal since she was a child. Deliberately hurting her own body in any intense situation was on habituation.

She was extremely weird in class. She was even called by the name of freak.

There was always something off about her. She would get furious about stereotyped beliefs and subsequently lock herself up in a room and would create scenes of suiciding. And even played cards of threating. She always tried to be the centre of attention.

There is lead, she is the lead.
