Chereads / My life as Spiderman / Chapter 3 - Chapter 3.

Chapter 3 - Chapter 3.

Yuichi found himself daydreaming in class, his mind wandering to Black Cat. Mesmerized by her mysterious allure, he yearned to meet her once more to experience the thrill of their previous meeting. Lost in his reverie, Yuichi barely noticed Gwen Stacy, a fellow classmate and a classic beauty, sidling up beside him. Her snapping fingers brought him back to reality, reminding him that Black Cat was, indeed, a thief.

Hey, Spiderman! Daydreaming about Black Cat, huh?" Gwen Stacy spoke teasingly, her voice pulling Yuichi back to earth.

Blushing slightly, Yuichi replied, "Yeah, she's just so fascinating. I can't help but wonder why she chose a life of crime."

Gwen rolled her eyes playfully. "Don't you know? She's notoriously known as one of the most skilled and seductive cat burglars in New York. Her thefts leave people awestruck and equally smitten by her wit and agility."

Yuichi, though captivated by Black Cat's allure, couldn't completely dismiss his conscience. "But Gwen, do you think someone like Black Cat could ever change her ways? Maybe there's more to her story than meets the eye."

Gwen's eyes softened as she considered Yuichi's words. She, too, believed in redemption and second chances. "Perhaps," she said thoughtfully, "but for now, remember that she's a criminal. Spiderman is here to protect and serve, not to fall in love with the wrong crowd."

Yuichi nodded, his conviction strengthening as he absorbed Gwen's words of wisdom. "You're right, Gwen. Spiderman's purpose is to uphold justice and create a safer city for everyone."

But what about my normal life? Sometimes I want to go back to being a normal kid. Yuichi thought with a gloomy look on his face.

Spiderman was hanging upside down, cautiously patrolling the streets. He swiftly swung from one building to another, trying to avoid the mountain of homework that awaited him back home.

As Spiderman soared through the air, his spider sense tingled, alerting him to a commotion nearby. With a burst of speed, he swung towards the source of the disturbance and found himself outside a small, old-fashioned store. The sight that awaited him was a robbery in progress.

A group of masked criminals, their eyes filled with greed and brandishing weapons, surrounded the store's terrified owner and customers. Exhilarated by the prospect of an action-packed break from his dull schoolwork, Spiderman sprang into action. The store's entrance exploded open as the robbers, armed with guns, stormed inside, their intentions crystal clear. Spiderman wasted no time. Using his web-shooters, he launched threads of sticky silk, ensnaring the criminals' wrists and rendering their weapons useless. Employing a combination of acrobatics and finesse, he effortlessly disarmed them, sending the guns clattering to the floor.

Amidst the chaos, Spiderman couldn't help but drop his usual quips, injecting his heroic endeavors with a touch of humor. "Looks like your shopping spree ends here, fellas," he quipped, a mischievous grin concealed beneath his mask. The robbers exchanged bewildered glances, astounded by their opponent's audacity even in the face of danger.

But Spiderman's triumph came with a bittersweet price. As he neutralized the criminals, a glimpse of a headline caught his eye: a newspaper resting on a nearby newsstand bore the words, "Spiderman: Threat or Menace?"

Yuichi was now in his room, ranting about the daily bulge. "Hey, Yuichi," she began softly. "I can see that you're upset. What's going on?"

Yuichi took a deep breath, trying to find the right words to express his frustration. "Gwen, it's just so frustrating," he sighed. "Every day, I'm out there, risking my life to protect the people of New York, and yet the media keeps labeling me a menace. It feels like no matter what I do, someone is always trying to bring me down."

Gwen nodded sympathetically, her empathetic eyes reflecting the weight of his words. "I understand, Yuichi," she replied gently. "You've devoted yourself to making this city a safer place. But unfortunately, people often fear what they don't understand."

Yuichi's shoulders slumped, his frustration giving way to a sense of hopelessness. "I just wish I could make everyone see the truth," he muttered, his voice heavy with disappointment.

Gwen walked over and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Yuichi, not everyone may understand your intentions or the sacrifices you make, but those who truly matter do," she assured him, her voice filled with unwavering belief. "You've saved countless lives, and people like me know that and will always stand by your side."

Thanks... I think I feel a little bit better now. Yuichi fell onto his bed, closing his eyes and falling asleep. You still have to do your homework, Yuichi. Just because you stopped crime doesn't mean you can skip out on your responsibilities. Gwen said she was getting Yuichi out of bed.

One day, Morrie soon discovered that he was unable to revert to his human form. He became a prisoner in his own body, trapped as Morris Bench, the Waterman. Desperate to regain his humanity, he sought the help of Oscorp's leading scientists.

But despite their best efforts, the doctors at Oscorp were unable to find a way to bring Morrie back. Frustration and despair crept into his heart, poisoning his mind. The constant reminders of his altered existence only fueled his anger and desperation.

One day, while confined to a laboratory at Oscorp, Morrie's anger consumed him. His mind clouded by thoughts of revenge and the desire to regain his former self, he decided to take matters into his own hands.

Morrie broke free from his containment, letting loose his watery form in a torrential surge. He rampaged through the corridors of Oscorp, his powers wreaking havoc on everything in his path. The employees fled in terror as Morrie destroyed equipment and shattered glass with his watery fists.

The doctors, now realizing the true extent of Morrie's powers, tried pleading with him to stop. But in his madness, their words fell on deaf ears. The broken promises of a cure had pushed him beyond reason.

As Morrie continued his rampage, the building began to crumble under the weight of his wrath. The foundations shook, and debris rained down on the city streets below. Panic spread like wildfire as people watched in horror, unsure of what would come next.

Yuichi scrolled through his history textbook, his eyes heavy with exhaustion from hours of studying with Gwen. With a deep sigh, he closed his textbook and ran a hand through his hair. "I'm going to take a break," he announced.

Gwen looked up briefly, her eyes full of determination. "I can't afford to waste time, Yuichi," she replied curtly before returning to her studies.

Yeah, Yeah. I just need to eat something before I... Yuichi stopped mid sentence after seeing a huge human figure made of water destroying New York. Okay, it looks like lunch is going to have to wait.

Moving through the city like a destructive force. He laughed maniacally, his loud voice echoing through the streets, warning of the destruction that awaited. As Spider-Man landed on a nearby rooftop, he could see the havoc that had already been unleashed.

Buildings were flooded, cars were tossed aside like toys, and people were fleeing in every direction. Spider-Man couldn't let this continue. He had to put a stop to it. With determination in his eyes, he swung into action.

As Spider-Man leaped into the midst of the chaos, Hydro Man turned his attention towards him. "Ah, the famous Spider-Man! Ready to be washed away?" He taunted, his voice carrying over the roar of crashing water.

Spider-Man smirked, his wit ever-present, even in dire situations. "I guess it's time to make a splash, Hydro Man!" he retorted, launching a web at his adversary. But before he could fully ensnare him, Hydro Man shifted his body into water, slipping through the web and reforming behind Spider-Man.

Caught off guard, Spider-Man found himself flung into a nearby building, his impact leaving a crater in its weakened structure. He winced but quickly regained his footing, determined to stop Hydro Man's destruction.

For hours, the battle raged on. Spider-Man swung from building to building, dodging Hydro Man's watery attacks while attempting to subdue his foe. They crashed through walls, leaving a path of destruction in their wake. Despite being battered and bruised, Spider-Man never lost his sense of humor.

"Hey, Hydro Man! I always thought you should take up plumbing, but this is going a bit overboard!" He quipped, a smirk gracing his face even as he was tossed into another building, leaving it badly damaged.

As the battle continued, Spider-Man's quips and jokes began to distract Hydro Man, making his moves more rash. Spider-Man used this to his advantage, seizing every opportunity to land blows and weaken his watery opponent.

Finally, Spider-Man managed to trap Hydro Man in a web cocoon, tightly binding his watery form. "Looks like your reign just got washed down the drain," Spider-Man quipped.

Hydro-Man's smirk widened as he summoned all his powers, causing the surrounding water to rise and break free from Spider-Man's webbing. With a powerful wave of his hand, the water sent Spider-Man crashing into nearby cars, leaving him disoriented.

Struggling to regain his bearings, Spider-Man found himself trapped inside a rapidly forming water prison. The liquid closed in around him, constricting his movements and making it difficult to breathe. Time was running out, and he knew that he needed a rescue.

Suddenly, a shadow materialized beside him. It was Black Cat, a skilled thief and occasional ally of Spider-Man's. She had taken notice of the battle and rushed to his aid.

"Looks like you're having a bit of a "splashy" situation here, Spidey," Black Cat chuckled, her witty banter a welcomed distraction.

"Never a dull moment with you around, cat," Spider-Man replied, a faint smile struggling to form beneath his mask.

"So, any ideas on how to take down Hydro-Man? I can handle him on my own, but with your skills added to the mix, we could make quite the splash."

Black Cat smirked and pulled a small device from her utility belt. "I've got just the thing. This little gadget is designed to disrupt water molecules; it might just neutralize Hydro-Man's abilities."

Spider-Man's eyes widened with excitement. "That's brilliant! Let's give that a shot."

Together, Spider-Man and Black Cat descended upon the embattled waterfront. Hydro-Man, towering over them with watery appendages flailing about, seemed to be enjoying the chaos he was causing. But the determined duo had other plans in mind.

As they engaged Hydro-Man in combat, Spider-Man sprayed a web over his eyes, momentarily blinding him. Black Cat swiftly activated her device, sending an intense wave of energy through the air. The water surrounding Hydro-Man rippled violently, causing him to lose control of his powers.

In that moment of vulnerability, Spider-Man maneuvered around Hydro-Man, shooting webs to bind his arms and legs tightly. Hydro-Man struggled and protested, but the combined strength and intellect of Spider-Man and Black Cat proved too much for him.

"Well, that was a wet and wild ride," Spider-Man joked, his eyes sparkling with triumph.

Black Cat placed her hand on his shoulder with a sly grin on her face.

"You've always had a way with words, Spider. Maybe being a hero hasn't dulled your sense of humor after all."

Spider-Man chuckled, appreciating the lightheartedness amidst the chaos.

"Hey, saving the world doesn't have to be all doom and gloom, right?"

As emergency crews arrived to secure Hydro-Man, Spider-Man and Black Cat exchanged playful glances. Their teamwork had been a success, and there was a flicker of something more than camaraderie between them.

"Well, until our paths cross again, Black Cat," Spider-Man said, his voice tinged with a hint of flirtation. "Just remember, I'm always ready to have you by my side."

Black Cat grinned, her eyes sparkling mischievously. "Oh, Spider, you know how to make a girl's heart race. Until next time."

She's awesome, and it looks like I don't have to wash my costume tonight. Spiderman was now swinging back home. Changing into dry clothes

Sergei Kravinoff, widely known as Kraven the Hunter, was a formidable force in the world of hunting. With his enhanced strength, agility, and razor-sharp senses, he was infamous for his ability to track down and capture any prey. In his pursuit of the ultimate challenge, he journeyed far and wide, slaying countless rare and dangerous creatures. But on this particular day, as he dismounted his jeep, he couldn't shake a sense of dissatisfaction. He had grown tired of hunting animals. He craved something more exhilarating, something that would truly test his abilities.

Just as his frustration began to consume him, his wife, Juri, approached him, carrying a folder filled with photographs. Her eyes gleamed with excitement as she eagerly showed him the pictures she had found. Sergei looked at the images, and a smile crept onto his face. They depicted Spider-Man, the legendary crime-fighting superhero, swinging through the streets of New York City.

Sergei had heard tales of the remarkable feats and superhuman abilities of this web-slinging vigilante. His curiosity ignited, and a spark of passion reignited within him. He knew that Spider-Man was the challenge he had been seeking. Determined to face off against this legendary hero, Sergei began preparations for his grand hunt.

Yuichi found himself anxiously sitting at his desk, pushing a pencil across the answer sheet of his final test before summer break. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he glanced at the clock, ticking away second by second. With a sigh of relief, Yuichi finished the test and handed it in to his teacher, Mrs. Anderson.

Days turned into long weeks, and as the end of the school year approached, the anticipation grew unbearable. Finally, the last day of school arrived, and everyone gathered in the auditorium for the final grade announcement.

"Nervous?" a voice whispered beside Yuichi. He turned to see Gwen.

"Terrified!" Yuichi replied, his voice quivering.

Gwen patted his shoulder reassuringly, her dark eyes filled with empathy. "I believe in you, Yuichi. You're a smart kid. I'm sure everything will turn out just fine."

As the principal began reading out the grades one by one, Yuichi's heart thumped louder with each passing name. Finally, he heard his own name being called, and his palms became sweaty. The principal cleared his throat before pronouncing the judgment.

"Yuichi… sixty."

Yuichi's heart skipped a beat. Sixty was the passing mark, but just barely. A smile of relief crept across his face, and he turned to gawk at Gwen. She grinned effortlessly, knowing she had helped him through another hurdle.

Yuichi couldn't contain his excitement. He jumped up from his seat and clumsily performed a goofy dance right there in the auditorium, much to the astonishment and laughter of his classmates.

Yuichi sprinted out of the school gates, a wide grin stretching across his face. The last class of the day had ended, signaling the beginning of his long-awaited summer break.

"Hey Gwen!" Yuichi greeted her with a wide grin. "Can you believe it? No more school!"

Gwen's eyes sparkled as she nodded enthusiastically. "I know, right? I can't wait to have the whole summer to ourselves. No more teachers, no more homework!"

So your mom's taking you to Paris? Yuichi asked. Yeah, I want to get a head start on looking for colleges to get it out of the way. Gwen responded as both arrived home. You do realize we're going into the eighth grade. So why start now when you're still in middle school? Yuichi asked, pouring a glass of water for himself. It's always good to think ahead of your future. What do you think you'll be doing in 5 years? Hmmm, probably still doing the same thing, you know, being Spider-Man. Yuichi responded. How about you come to Paris with us to get a real break? And to see what you want to do in the future. Gwen said, with Yuichi agreeing. (I mean, I can right?) It's only been a week, and it's been quiet ever since Hydro Man. Plus, I deserve a break at least once in a while. Yuichi thought about heading to his room. I should do some Spider-Man work before leaving tomorrow.

As he soared through the city's hustle and bustle, his iconic red and blue costume glistened in the sunlight.

Suddenly, Spiderman's keen senses tingled, sending an electrifying surge down his spine. His spider sense had gone off, indicating imminent danger. Without wasting a moment, his agile instincts kicked in, propelling him into a gravity-defying somersault and narrowly evading a hidden trap that had been laid to ensnare unsuspecting victims.

Unbeknownst to Spider-Man, Kraven had been watching his every move. With a sly smile, the hunter stepped out from the shadows, making his presence known. Strikingly dressed in an animal-print vest and a wide-brimmed hat, Kraven oozed confidence.

"Well, well, well, who do we have here?" Kraven purred, his accent thick and exotic. "Isn't it the famous Spider-Man swinging through my hunting grounds?"

Spider-Man eyed his opponent warily. "I don't know who you think you are, but you picked the wrong guy to mess with," he retorted, his spidey sense on high alert.

Kraven laughed—a deep, menacing sound that echoed through the park. "Oh, my dear Spider-Man, I am Kraven the Hunter, and I have come to claim my greatest prize yet—your head."

Spider-Man couldn't help but smirk. "Kraven the Hunter, huh? It sounds like a B-movie villain. Do you come with your own theme music?"

Kraven narrowed his eyes, not appreciating the joke. "You may mock me, Spider-Man, but I assure you, I am not to be taken lightly."

To Kraven's surprise, Spider-Man effortlessly dodged his attacks with acrobatic finesse. With each missed strike, Kraven's frustration mounted, while Spider-Man's confidence only grew. He taunted Kraven, mocking his exaggerated movements and theatrics.

"So, what's your deal, Tarzan? You couldn't find a decent pet tiger, so you thought you'd pick the guy in spandex?" Spider-Man quipped, his snarky remarks only fueling Kraven's anger.

In a final desperate attempt, Kraven swung a powerful punch towards Spider-Man's head. However, he swiftly evaded the blow, causing Kraven to crash into the wall of a neighboring building. Dazed and disoriented, Kraven struggled to regain his composure.

Seizing the moment, Spider-Man shot a web at Kraven, securing him against the wall. "Looks like I've got you trapped, kitty." You may be good in the wild, but when it comes to New York, you're out of your league, he grinned.

Kraven, refusing to admit defeat, grinned back. "This is not over, Spider-Man. I will have my revenge!" With a swift twist, he broke free from the webbing and vanished into the labyrinthine streets of New York.

Spider-Man chuckled, swinging away from the scene. "Kraven the Hunter, huh? Bunch of bark, no bite. I guess the animal kingdom will have to wait another day. But I hope not tomorrow. Please not tomorrow.

Next day. Yuichi! Hurry up, we need to be at the airport before 2. Gwen's mom yelled. Okay! I haven't heard from that Kraven guy since yesterday. I just hope the universe doesn't ruin my trip. Gwen was now downstairs, hearing her dad say he got a call about a lion man yelling for Spiderman. Gwen ran upstairs, running into Yuichi's room, closing the door. Sup Gwen, I need your opinion. blue or red. Yuichi asked, holding a red and blue shirt. I think I'll go with your red and blue suit since there's some kind of man lion on the loose. I knew the universe was going to do this.

Yesterday. Kraven the Hunter stood alone in his dimly lit apartment, his defeat at the hands of Spider-Man still fresh in his mind. He had always prided himself on being the apex predator, the one who could outwit and outmatch any foe. And yet, the web-slinger had proven to be his undoing. As he gazed out of his window, overlooking the bustling streets of New York, his thoughts were interrupted by the shrill ring of his telephone. Surprised by the call, he hesitantly picked up the receiver. A mysterious voice crackled through the line.

"Kraven the Hunter. I've been observing you, and I believe I have a proposition that might interest you."

Kraven's curiosity was piqued. He recognized the voice as that of a man, but there was an unfamiliar air of authority and confidence emanating from the other end. Intrigued, he cautiously replied, "Who is this? And what proposition do you speak of?"

The voice chuckled, a chilling sound that sent shivers down Kraven's spine. "That is unimportant. What matters is that I hold the key to unlocking your true potential. The potential to defeat Spider-Man.

"Tell me more," he urged, his voice filled with a newfound urgency.

"I have access to a unique serum, a scientific breakthrough only known to a select few. It can grant you superhuman abilities beyond your wildest imagination. With these powers, Spider-Man will be no match for you."

Kraven hesitated, skeptical of such claims. Yet he couldn't deny the desperation that gnawed at him after his defeat. "Where can I find this serum?" he asked, uncertainty lacing his words.

"You need only to meet me at the abandoned Oscorp laboratory in the heart of the city. Come alone, for secrecy is of utmost importance."

Without another word, the connection ended, leaving Kraven alone with his thoughts. The offer was both thrilling and terrifying, but the desire for victory burned within him. He knew he had no choice but to accept and grasp this opportunity with both hands.

Kraven found himself standing before the looming facade of the dilapidated Oscorp laboratory. The air was thick with anticipation as he ventured inside, his steps echoing through the empty halls. He pushed open a rusted door, entering a dimly lit room where a figure awaited him.

The figure stepped forward, revealing himself to be a middle-aged man with sharp features and an air of authority. "Welcome, Kraven the Hunter. I am Dr. Malcolm Orloff, the one who holds the knowledge and power you seek."

Kraven eyed him warily. "If your claims are true, then show me what you have."

With a smile, Dr. Orloff procured a vial filled with a luminescent green liquid. "This is my creation, a serum derived from a combination of exotic plants and groundbreaking scientific discoveries. Once ingested, it will transform you into the ultimate hunter."

Kraven hesitated again, but his determination outweighed his reservations. He took the vial and, without further thought, swallowed its contents. Almost instantly, he felt a surge of energy through his veins.

As Spider-Man landed gracefully on a rooftop, he spotted Kraven waiting for him, his muscular body glistening with sweat. Spider-Man couldn't help but admire his adversary's physical prowess.

"You know, Kraven, I gotta say, that new upgrade suits you," Spider-Man quipped, a hint of a smirk playing on his lips.

Kraven growled and flexed his muscles, relishing in his newfound power. "Spider-Man, I am now the ultimate predator. No longer will I be your plaything. I will capture you and prove my dominance!"

Spider-Man chuckled, cool as ever. "Are you sure about that? I mean, last time I checked, you were the one getting captured in my webs."

Kraven's eyes narrowed, his animalistic instincts sharpening his focus. "You won't be able to outmaneuver me this time, Spider. My senses are heightened, and I will anticipate your every move."

With a swift movement, Spider-Man launched himself at Kraven, grinning as the hunter lunged towards him, claws bared. They exchanged blows, the sound of fists connecting with flesh echoing through the night.

Kraven's movements were lightning-fast, his heightened senses allowing him to dodge Spider-Man's strikes effortlessly.

"Hey, Kraven, did you know your new haircut really brings out the ferocity in your eyes? It's like a mullet on steroids!" Spider-Man taunted, a grin on his face, as he somersaulted away from one of Kraven's powerful punches. Kraven's roar filled the air, anger fueling his every move. "I will teach you respect, Spider-Man!"

Spider-Man's agility and acrobatic maneuvers allowed him to dodge Kraven's powerful attacks. However, Kraven's enhanced abilities made it challenging for the web-slinger to gain the upper hand. With every punch and kick, Spider-Man could feel the strain on his body.

As the fight intensified, Kraven managed to land a devastating blow, causing Spider-Man's costume to tear open, revealing a bruised and battered hero underneath. With pain radiating through his body, Spider-Man gritted his teeth and fought back, even as a rib cracked from the impact.

"Is that the best you've got? You hit like a stuffed animal!" Spider-Man spat, attempting to deflect the pain with his usual wisecracks.

He lunged at Spider-Man, aiming to end the battle once and for all. But the lion Spider-Man had rescued earlier made a sudden move, distracting Kraven for a split second.

Seizing the opportunity, Spider-Man swiftly swung a web line around Kraven's legs, causing him to trip and fall face-first onto the ground. The crowd erupted in cheers as their hero triumphed over the villain.

As the police arrived to apprehend Kraven, Spider-Man glanced at his torn costume and throbbing rib but couldn't help but laugh. "Well, Kraven, it looks like I've just ruined your whole animal-print aesthetic. Maybe try a new fashion trend? Pastels, perhaps?"

Damnit! Oh crap, I need to get to the airport before the plane leaves. Spiderman said. struggling to swing due to his ribs.

Spider-Man swung through the city, his body aching with every movement. His usually agile movements felt slow and laborious as pain shot through his side. The superhero winced, clutching his side.

Desperately needing to change out of his iconic suit, Spider-Man made his way to the nearest airport restroom. The mirror reflected a weary and pained Yuichi. Gritting his teeth, he slowly took off his suit, wincing as he did so. The pain intensified as he struggled to remove the tight fabric.

Just as he managed to free himself from his costume, a vibrant voice called out, echoing through the empty restroom, "Hey! Are you okay in there?"

Spider-Man turned to see a teenage girl, Gwen, leaning against the door frame, concern etched across her face.

"I'm fine, just a little accident during a mission," Spider-Man replied, attempting to hide his pain.

Gwen's eyes widened, and she walked toward him, the concern on her face deepening. "You're hurt, aren't you?" she asked, gently running her fingers across the bruise emerging on his side.

Spider-Man winced at her touch but couldn't help but appreciate her genuine care. "Yeah, I cracked a rib. It's been a rough day."

Don't worry, I can still move around. Now let's get on that plan so I can get my vaccination on. Yuichi said, putting on a smile, trying to hide the pain. I'm going to Paris!
