The light sounds of distant thunder echoed through the cloudy night sky, giving out a signal that it was going to rain soon.
Despite the clouds,the stars shone brighter than ever,as if they were all competing for the title: 'Sky's Most Shiniest.
The wind howled mildly, causing the leaves to sway to the wind's rhythm and the grasses and flowers on the moist ground to follow suit.
Sounds of flowing water from a nearby source blended its soothing harmony with the other nature sounds, creating a peaceful ambience, but the air around the men that surrounded the place was no where near peaceful, heavy and serious is a better way to put it.
Their eyes darted around as they scanned the area, searching for someone,but they couldn't seem to find who they wanted to.
"Are you sure this is the place?" Zilan said as he observed his surroundings.
His men had seen Raiden earlier,and they tracked his movements to this place but this...this wasn't a place he'd expect him to be.
It looked too calm,too peaceful, too placid,much unlike that devil's personality.
Why would Raiden be here? Why would he even allow himself to be tracked and followed? Something was off... was this a lure...or perhaps a... diversion?
"Yes, Master, we're sure. His trail led us here." one of them answered his question.
"Did he see you when you spotted him? Does he know you were tracking his movements?"
Zilan said and took a step forward, trying to sense if anyone was lurking, but there was no one apart from him and his men,as well as a few birds
"It didn't seem like he knew,Master." the person answered again as they all followed behind Zilan, going in the direction he went.
"Hmm..." was all Zilan said back as he continued to move forward.
He stopped walking when he reached a vast wall that hindered further movement.
"We must have assessed wrong, it doesn't seem like he was here. Sorry for the wrong evaluation, Master," one of the men said as he took a bow,the others doing same.
"No use for apologies,you weren't wrong, someone was here earlier..."Zilan narrowed his gaze at the wall in front of him.
"...and there are others behind this wall." he said as his eyes continued to focus on the wall.
To the ordinary eye,there was no huge wall, only transparent nothingness, but to he and his men, the vast barrier was clear, though there seemed to be a force that hindered them from going through or around it.
Zilan reached out his hand to the wall, but retracted it,deciding not to get close to it,at least not yet. Just then a bird flew by and neared the wall,but then the part the bird touched started to glow and burn,extreme heat emanated from it,then suddenly the bird just dematerialized and disappeared,like it never existed.
Zilan looked back at the wall as his brows furrowed.
"Hmm... dragon magic? It doesn't make sense that someone would go so far as to use dragon magic to create a barrier and keep this place hidden unless..."
Zilan's gaze turned serious as he spoke.
"...this could be Raiden's haven. But why would he allow it to be discovered? Is this some sort of trick...or maybe a distraction?"
Just then Zilan's phone rung and he picked it up.
Suddenly the air around him turned chilly and dangerous as his gaze turned cold.
" All of you get equipped and head to the bar at Kin Street. We have things to take care of,"he uttered and they all left upon his order.

The place was filled with much tension as the air kept getting heavy so much that it could choke and kill a person.
Several bodies lain on the ground as more kept adding up to the others.
The sound of flying bullets filled the entire room, followed by the loud 'thud' sound that could be heard soon after.
The infiltrators who started the ambush attack kept retreating, seeing as they kept falling like flies and were barely holding up their own against their targets...especially Ethan who shot and killed with such passion it was scary. To think this was the same person who was joking and flirting earlier. He looked and acted nothing like the Ethan before,he was much different,and more deadly.
Vade managed to safely lead the humans outside and take Kelsie home.
In no time Ethan and his men had finished off almost all of the attackers, leaving just a few who realizing they were in danger if they continued to linger, withdrew themselves from the room and just as suddenly as they came,went away.
Ethan just stood there confused and a bit angry. Why are Raiden's men being such cowards? They usually aren't.
Come to think of it s something was really off with the way they fought;it was like the weren't even trying...as if they were just playing around. Did they think this was a game?,that thought annoyed Ethan.
Or maybe they were just... stalling? But for what reason? What is going on? What could Raiden be up to?...
"You all should stay here in case they come back. I'll go look for Kyra."
All those questions should wait for now. Right now he needed to find Kyra and make sure she was okay.
