In what seemed to be a desperate world made of mostly sand and an unlivable dessert biomes which, was ready to kill anyone.
There, A small comet, or, what seems like a meteorite enters the atmosphere of the night sky itself.
It alerted and peaked the interest of every inhabitants of the wasteland.
Giant creatures adapted to the sky and sand awaken, there eyes and senses set on the comet which radiated the very night by its glowing burning light.
A group of dark humanoid individuals cloaked in black hurriedly ran to the impact.
The humans that had lived for many generations on this unknown planet felt the tremors as it crashed on the sands.
The heat itself melted the orange sand to liquid glass.
The humans living on this planet had lived under the ground with a special shoe made to traverse the sand and create no possible noises
They ran without fear, since a moments of hesitation meant death.
They only came out at night to scavenge for food or leftovers from the sky bound ave, also known as car size birds.
They have white feather wings which camouflage them from night and day, what set them apart from other hunters were there almost endless stamina to fly in the sky for two nights and two days.
Even then they aren't as dangerous, compared to the sand dwellers.
The sand itself hides horrors which even the human mind could never truly discover as long as they are ground bound.
Cannibalism were prominent in every spectrum, even the humans are Cannibalistic, there very survival was dependent on everything.
The eight individuals thought they might have found a meteorite which they can sell to a forger.
Meteorites were very rare, and finding such was like an honor and a path to living there whole life without the need to work in this dangerous job.
They are called explorers, an elite group of people who are willing to scavenge for food and fight off creatures.
Instead of a meteorite they saw a small being in its open egg of a cocoon
The group of 8 individuals only saw a small baby, she didn't cry but immediately looked at the 8 dark figures as if the darkness itself didn't bother her.
The group could feel the heat and waited till it cooled down.
They then slid down and saw the baby inside fully.
There was clear hesitation and disappointment in there eyes.
"Its a baby!"
"How could that be?! How could it survive?!."
There throat dry as groggily as it was.
"Should we eat it?" One of the sick ones who had eaten babys asked. His jagged teeth opened.
He received a glaring look from his leader who shook his head.
The baby eater frowned, still he listened.
"Its a girl, and an ugly one at that." He said after checking from up and down.
The others took the time to look, and immediately noticed the golden hair, green colored eyes, and a pale skin.
The humans of this planet however had no hairs. There skin were pale from the long exposure living away from the sun and there skins were as hard as the skin of a horse.
To there eyes she was extremely ugly even tho it was considered beautiful in other worlds.
Something was very desirable about the girl and they all felt it as soon as she put its soft fingers on the man holding him.
The man felt a shock going through his whole body, which made him almost jump.
She was burning hot, as if the heat hasn't cooled down.
She giggled after seeing his reaction.
Her teeth aren't as sharp as them, its only consist of blunt ones and two fangs.
"Maybe this must be a message from the gods."
A shamon of there group who believed in a god called Dokimon remarked.
"Shamon, if what you said is true, then the god has finally send us salvation in the form of this…. Thing." Another shimed.
"Lets move out quickly, they might have already seen it!" The leader was vigilant as his eyes were on the night sky, since this world had no moon.
Then there it was, a sudden change in wind pressure.
It spelled there doom and if they hadn't already moved, they would he mat with sudden death.
No one answered, but they knew that it was already too late.
One person from the middle of the eight individuals wrapped the girl with his extra clothe and still felt the heat warming the clothe.
"Use the smokes now!" The leader ordered.
They did as told and immediately threw three balls to the ground, a controlled explosion occurred and they ran for it.
Luckily the sky Ave flew by, confused and almost tricked.
Ones again it flew down with full force onto two unlucky figures, who were at the back.
They died immediately from the impact.
With that the smoke became useless for the Ave since there feather was enough to blow away the obstruction.
Make no mistake, the controlled smoke has saved many generations of explorers and it still does again creatures that can't blow away the smoke.
the sky Ave this time was larger then its average normal adult size. This one was the size of a truck.
With its twice as long wing span could create wind pressure strong enough to blow a car away.
"No!" One of them shouted out of fright and moarning.
"They won't be forgotten!" The leader assured his teamate.
Luckily the the sky Ave was too busy eating the two people that died.
The leader had noticed this and he knew what needed to be done.
"Someone has to stay back and fight it off." His words meant that one of them had to die.
Seconds passed till a decision was made.
"I'll go, so please leader, tell her that I we did our best." The one from the very back requested.
He didn't die because he wanted to, if he didn't do it another would have bin in his place.
The leader looked back before nodding.
The group of five ran with all there might.
Soon they went to there secret hideout.
they soon heard a gruesome scream which sent shivers down there back.
To this world salvation sacrifices were needed to get a foothold in there desperate life.
They weren't safe yet since even the underground protection wasn't enough.
Soon they could hear it, it sounded like some was swimming through the very rocks underneath.
"Use the bloodbag!" The leader screamed as his fear made everything slow down.
The tunnel they were running through were very closterphobic.
Still years of experience prepared them for when ever theres a tunnel collapse.
Then crush from upward was a blind deathworm.
Its size and length has never bin truely measured before.
They ran and ran, till the death stopped at the smell of blood.
Soon it realized that it was only eating rocks
The creature had bin tricked and it wasn't happy.
One of the memebers noticed that the sound was coming closer and closer.
"Leader its coming, what should we do?" One of the members shouted.
There life is on his hand and if he hasitated to decide all of them would surely die.
They ran about 100 meters ahead before the creature chased again, following the vibration of there running.
The leader signaled that they were neer to there hideout.
A bit of relief was felt before, there hope and need to survive fuel there desire to return and take a break with there family.
Thankfully, they finally made it through to a normal size manhole.
When they entered, a loud crash shook behind them as the creature screamed and whaled.
The impact at that speed could have squashed them to literal paste.
The captain finally pulled off his hood and it revealed his real face.
He looked like a 30 year old, which was very few in numbers since most of those like him only lived to 14-25.
He had a visible scare a quarter of an inch, in length running from his head to his neck.
One might wonder of the horror he had experienced in his life.
His nose was normally pointed long and his eyes are black in color.
The color of his skin were very pale as most of his life he had lived in a hole.
As he talk to his teammates there were clear signs of missing and cracked teeth,
His companion also took off there hood to revealed themselve to only he at the age from 15-18, there were no females in this group as only males were bravest to explore the trachid dessert.
Females were weak and very emotional, the likelihood of them breaking mentally down was 80/100.
This world was too cruel to ever let them moarn whiles in the mids of danger.
"Cover the hole, we'll have to report the news to our leader."
Said the leader who's real name was Edwin.
He moved his cape to side to then grabb his waterskin.
He uncapped it and drinked.
His attention went on the baby girl in one of his companions ferm and strong arm.
"Leader!" The person holding the strange babygirl exclaimed.
"What is it Rider?"
"She- she! She has eyes of green gems and every strand of hair is golden in color!"
"She's,! An angel! She is sent from the gods!"
Rider had a different color of skin, his was a bit more tanned, and he was the second in charge if Edwin had died.
His nose was shorter and his eyes were in the yellow group adapted to the wasteland.
He was suspected of going outside in the morning frequently, but no-one had found any evidence, and even if they did, he wasn't going to be punished as long as he was useful.
"Do you think she's thirsty?" Rider asked Edwin. Edwin walked over before inspecting the girl.
He shook his head.
"I don't know much about how to handle an angel, and we need to return to the elder and let them handle it."
Rider looked at the others who were sitting on the floor, exhausted from there neer death encounter.
Soon they traveled back to there maze of a home.
A place or a causum of manwholes with many rassident living there day, everything was almost made of stone.
There some unsightly side this desperate world.
Those that couldn't pay for the debt they owe were left without there child to raise.
There were fights of hand to hand with the explores.
They didn't use deadly force agains the male resident who were trying to prevent them from taking there child.
"Idiots, stop resisting and let them be taken, this job isn't even easy. They have it too good." Dobrick the lean and angry one said.
He was the one who wanted to eat the angel.
"Yeah, I can't believe our parents didn't fight and instead sold us." Replied rider, the resentment in his tone still lingered.
"Shut up! You are the most freest among us." Dobric was very fustrated two of his best friend he had known for 5 years dead.
Rider was going to argue back however the glare from Edwin shut both of them up.
Rider gave Dobrick a childish and teasing look.
He poked out his tongue and and pulled his bottum eyelid down.
Edwin sighed at the childish act of Rider and kept his composure to not nock his teeth out.
Some times later, they finally made it to the headquarters of The explorer.
"Ah Edwin, where is the meat?" A large and bulky man asked him.
Just like Edwin, this man had lived from the expected age of death.
His name is Adem, he is just like them and was forced into the harsh training of the explorers.
His whole life he lived in danger, and was like a leader to the new and old generation of explorers.
Now in the position of captain, he was in charge of 10 squads of 8 man. He wore a dark tinded Iron armor from bis shoulder to his foot, his helmet on the left side of the table.
Disappointment and confused was seen on his face.
"Dra, and Nick. Are dead, they were killed by the sky ave." Edwin explained calmy.
"Why have you returned empty headed?" Adem asked, clearly uneffected by the death of two amateur explorers.
"We found…." Edwin looked around before lowing his tone.
"The angel." He almost wispered.
-The what?-
"Angel." Edwin answered.
Immediately Adem realized the implication of his word.
"Are you sure?"
Edwin nodded to his question.
"Why didn't you say it sooner, follow me." Adems change of tone was now of caution.
If words were to spread of this news, this whole underground dome would be filled with hope.
Hope, was long bin lost to the humans, however the presence of a angel was the prophecy of the prophit of a oracle who long told of storys.
[One day our world will finally find home of a child of the stars.] nothing more would be said, and even if the Orikal wanted, they could never see too far.
Adem had trusted Edwin for long enough that none of the others doubted there words.
Soon they went up to a frontal gate gaurded by 10 gardians.
They were more heavily armed and experienced then both Edwin and Adem.
The gardians were so strong that one of them could singal handedly kill 8 sky Ave, unfortunately they have pleadge there loyalty to the only hope in humanity.
"What is your acupation and what is your means to come?" One of the gardians asked and as a glaive was pointed at the group.
"Let them in." A weak voice that sounded like an old woman said.
"Yes oracle!"
The guardians all grabbed a hand hold to the pry the gate open.
