Alex, Kris, and Don sat down on one table as the others continued cleaning.
"Boss, it took us a while to come back because we gathered some information first in the city before going back."
"Oh? You gathered information?" Alex raised an eyebrow.
Nodding, Don paused for a bit before he started talking.
"First thing that we learned is that there's actually a war happening not far from here. It was at Earl Bernard's territory, just 50 kilometers away from here."
Just after hearing the first news, Alex was already surprised.
You know, in any world, war is nothing simple.
If a war is happening nearby, it's inevitable that one way or another, the other cities or territories not far from the battlefield will be affected.
So, most Lords won't like it if something happens near their territory.
Because no one would like to get involved in something that they won't benefit from.
