Ray was about to tell the poor old lady that she did that because she can't lie towards her. Hell, it's making her heart feel tight knowing that she did that and she just made Nona Gracey yell in horror.
"It was—" Before she could speak, she felt a hand gripped tightly on her shoulder. It wasn't a man's hand but rather it was a woman's hand and the only one that can exert this much strength is none other than her sister. She looked at Andrea at her side, confused why she did that.
Andrea then lightly shook her head, as if telling Ray to not tell anything else. Ray then kept the words that she wanted to let out because Andrea motioned that she should never speak. She's baffled, why would her sister not want her to apologize to her Nona?
