Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

I woke up as the sun was just rising above the horizon, and had a pounding headache.

Sitting up I realized that my clothes were wrecked and soaked in blood.; I had a horrible migraine and could barely see straight. Standing up I stumbled a couple steps before collapsing and rubbing at my eyes, something was wrong with them. Opening them back up I focussed on a tree and realized that I could see it clearly, but not only that but everything else in my field of vision. I was shocked when I learned this and pulled up my status screen to find out what was going on. That is when it hit me, I had a notification allowing me to customize my eyes before I blacked out.

*Bugged-eyed weirdo; Your eyes have been modified to allow you to see with crystal clear vision and telescope vision. The change in your vision has also made physical changes appear. Your eyes will now be silver in color, with golden flakes. In the dark, your irises will glow faintly purple. Due to the physical change, you will attract more attention.*

Getting a grip on my new view on the world I resummoned Mr. Chicken since he died in the fight against the mantis, and sat down next to him, taking off my shirt and throwing it to the side.

"What should your name be, Mr. Chicken? I feel you deserve a name, since, ya know, you are the only thing here that seems to have a brain bigger than a pea."

The only response I got in return was a "cluck" as he seemed to inflate his chest and somehow look down on me even though there was a significant height difference.

"How about… Fex? Fex the Pheonix?

"CLUCK"

Standing up I started to walk away since that was finished, I need to find somewhere to go, and I figured that there wouldn't be any safe places on this planet of insects. In the one and a half days that I had been in here, I had already almost died twice. Walking up a small incline I reached the point where I appeared into this world.

The portal that I had stepped through was gone, replaced by nothing but air. Looking out across the small barren area in the middle of the forest, I tried to think of what to do next. I was trapped in this world and had to find another rift. If only I could find one then I could pass through it. Heck if I wanted to I could even go to hell, but that place was toxic to humans, and even though I was no longer a human I still would have liked to avoid it.
