Chapter 75 - Union Academy

"We've close"

Theo and the rest of the students stood on the wooden deck of the flying ship, all mesmerised by the captivating view the world presented them.

Theo was familiar with the view, seeing it repeatedly hundreds of times in an in game cutscene.

He looked beyond the horizon as the winds started to calm and the flying ship slowly prepared for its timely landing.

At the horizon was a vast lake, a person might even mistake it as a sea depending on how large it was.

Enormous floating islands could also be seen around the clouds, towering over the flying ship with immense size.

It was like comparing an ant to a fully grown adult.

The flying ship weaved through the islands with the lake shining wonderfully below them.

"I can never get used to this view." one of the crewmates muttered with a small smile as he admired the scenery in front of him

The students on the other hand were simply dumbfounded with their mouth wide open at the grandeur of the view

After a few minutes of swerving through the floating islands, A wall fog seemed to barge their way from their destination.

Theo knew that behind this Wall of Clouds that stretched hundreds of kilometres was a deterrent system to those uninvited by the owner of the Academy.

One cannot forcefully enter the wall of clouds unless they were at the very least at the Grandmaster tier.

Any intruder would find themselves back where they came in from, such was the wall's ability.

The Flying Ship forged ahead, piercing through the looming wall of clouds with unwavering determination.

Almost half of the students gasped as the Ship navigated the inner walls of the clouds.

And silence followed as the students waited with anticipation for the grand reveal.

WHOOOSH!*

The clouds parted and what revealed was a breathtaking scenery that would be etched in the minds of every single youth present on the deck of the flying ship.

Imagine a vast expanse of water stretching out endlessly, its surface kissed by the warm glow of the sun.

In the midst of this beautiful blue lake, a colossal island occupied the centre of the towering barrier of clouds , its lush landscape dotted with the bustling city which was easily as big as the capital of Aventus.

There were also a few islands that caught the interest of others.

They were connected to the main island where the magical city stood in place.

Further into the city was a large establishment where Theo was going to live his life for the next three years.

The Academy or more specifically the Union Academy.

Established by one of the heroes that thwarted the demonic invasion a thousand years ago.

It served as an institute to nurture extraordinary talents around the world.

Flying ships flew across the islands, heading to other islands or outside the wall of clouds with destination unknown to Theo.

Theo admired everything and appreciated the work of art that his eyes grasped as he compared it to the game graphics.

Theo nodded and confirmed that real like was a thousand percent better than what he saw in the digital world.

The Flying ship after a few more minutes slowly arrived above the Academy.

Taking a closer look below, there were dozens of different large buildings that were built up in the establishment.

All the college campuses back on earth paled in comparison for the sheer size of the Academy.

Theo noticed a black coloured ship right behind them, adorned with golden ornaments and students dressed in black uniforms.

Theo smiled and activated his telepathic skill

<> Theo/Selene

Theo and Selene called out to each other at the same time, overlapping both their voices with the same exact words, making both chuckle at their similarity.

The ships slowly descended right in front of the grand gates of the academy.

The front of the gates was a big clearing, enough to fit two football fields side by side.

The Flying Ships successfully landed with unexpected unity.

The engine of the flying ships turned off with this the magical staircase appeared for the teens to go down.

All of them were still in awe, processing all the marvellous sceneries they just observed, while both teens on each ship admired the surroundings.

******

Selene

All the teens from the two empires were guided to a large gathering hall, enough to fill a thousands of people inside.

Initially teens of the two empires occupied the hall alone with only a few staff taking guiding them to their destination, but slowly the hall started to be filled by other teens, which easily reach a thousand

Every single participant is exceptionally talented than the normal standard of the world.

Theo and Selene opted to stay close to their group for now.

They would eventually meet up later in the exams anyway so there wasn't any rush on grouping up together.

Most of the teens in the room generally stayed within their own faction, they were either too nervous or reluctant to communicate with strangers that they've never met in their life.

There were also other races than humans. Elves, Dwarves, Lizardmen, Orcs, beastmen and more.

Union Academy as the name implies is a place where unity above all is upheld, so discrimination was extremely frowned upon in the confines of the Academy or the Academy islands or Union Islands.

However, despite the general rule of no discrimination, there was still inevitable discrimination, especially those who were the less talented among their peers.

There are also people who get away with using their background as means to have their way in the academy.

Though the Academy does their best to prevent such events from happening, it is still a problem that reoccurs, it is especially more prominent within the first years.

As the crowd of students chatted with their fellow factions, a thud from the stage halted the hall in silence.

"Welcome, prospective students. My name is Olivia Montague, your future teacher for Magic theory and application or even your potential homeroom teacher."

That which was initially silent started to stir after hearing the name of the beautiful lady standing on the podium.

"Isn't she the one that broke the record of being one of the top ten youngest S-class adventurers of all time?"

"Yeah I heard that,There was another rumour that she subjugated an A-class dungeon by herself"

"She looks so pretty as well. I'm praying that I'll get that kind of figure when grow older"

"In your dreams"

"Yo wipe your drool up, your starting become creepy buddy"

"!? Holy sh*t, thanks man. She's just so hot, I couldn't help it"

Many spoke about her unprecedented achievements and many admired her impeccable mature beauty.

BANG!

"SILENCE!"

A wave of magical power blasted out from Olivia, silencing all the teens within the hall. Most if not all the students broke out in cold sweat, intimidated by the power Olivia displayed with just a simple ejection of a wave of mana to the surroundings.

Theo knew that the woman on the podium was one of the strongest Masters in the continent, so it was fair that many would tremble at the face of her mana.

A woman who was guaranteed to become grandmaster.

Sadly she would not attain such achievement and die, because of the concocted plans of the demons.

"I am disappointed with many you because of your initial behaviour, but I will give you all a chance to prove to me that you are more than just a bunch of undisciplined brats"

Olivia who had a frown till now, smiled maniacally as she snapped her fingers.

"Let's not delay the exams shall we?

A large magic circle covered the whole hall, startling all the teens who weren't aware of what's about to happen as it shined in white light.

After a few more seconds of waiting, every single person in the hall disappeared, leaving the smiling Olivia behind.

"Let's see what this batch of first years are made of"
