CHAPTER 3: In denial
He exited the mansion after turning it upside down until he was sure that was nothing was left to plunder there.
He searched for a mountain bag at the mansion and pack-up all the things that he thinks is valuable.
He didn't find someone or something other than the anklet that might potentially ward off the zombies. With the supplies at his back and a metal baseball bat in his hand, he tried to convince himself that he could do it.
Three days after he left the mansion, he realized that he was the one that was warding off the zombies. The reason he was being chased before he came into the mansion was because he had many companions then that their scent covered his.
After he broke-off his contact with them, they stop chasing him off since they didn't think of him as prey. Which in his opinion was good.
He needed to find at least one of the protagonists of this world to slowly find out how to collect the experience points that he needed to clear out their mission.
And five days in the streets when his supplies were almost depleted, he saw one of the protagonists, Edward.
Edward was pushed into the mouth of the zombie and was almost bitten. If he didn't manage to freeze the zombie. Humans after the apocalypse gain different powers. Edward had can use three elements ice, lightning, and wood. While Felix was a very powerful mental ability user as well as space ability.
It was said that only Felix knew that Edward was a multi-ability element user. Everyone thought that Edward was only ice ability holder.
He hid himself to avoid being found out by Edward's companion. Edward was left in the middle of the zombie siege. After the car that was used by Edward's group left, Blade slowly went to fight with Edward.
The male protagonist was vigilant at first and after seeing him focusing in killing the zombie, he also focused on his killing spree.
After killing the zombies, Blade felt that his body was so sore. His arms felt like they going to fell off. Both of them was panting after fighting wave after wave of zombie.
They collapse after and looked at each other and Blade laugh, finding the whole thing ridiculous. If it was five days ago he was sure he would be nothing but a burden to the male lead however now, he can actually fight side by side together like areal pair of brothers.
Edward wasn't laughing like Blade but his eyes was shining that even a straight man like Blade at how beautiful Edward is.
He realize that it wasn't surprising that a pervert like the original owner was seduced by Edward.
Edward eyes was looking at Blade in a complicated manner. It seems that this licentious young master that used to pursue him matured after the apocalypse. Not looking at him with those disgusting eyes anymore that he wanted to pluck out.
Blade shuddered with how Edward looked at him. He smiled at him.
"I hope that young master Edward would forgive me for doing those things to you. I muddle-headed and young."
Edward stared at Blade for too long that he begun too looked uncomfortable but later on Edward smiled. It was too beautiful that the self-proclaim straight man, Blade lag off a bit.
He scratched the back of his head and blushed a little. In his mind, he thought that Edward was very pretty. As an in-denial face-con, Blade righteously said in his heart that Edward was really a good person.
The strange light in the eyes of Edward was ignored by Blade who was rational at normal times but was muddled with Edward's beauty. Looking back at this scene if he was more careful, he shouldn't have pitted himself in a bottomless hole.
"Ah," Blade exclaims when he remembered something.
"I'm going to the head to the City M. They said that it was the largest headquarters that was made to become the haven of the humans. Are you also going there?"
Blade already knew that Edward would go there, he just wanted to say it first so that he could go there with the male lead righteously.
"Hmm."
"Great! Then let's go together." Blade laughs at the thought that he could brush off feelings with the male lead before the other male lead could even met up.
Edward stared at the silly appearance of Blade, smiling brightly. His licked his upper teeth and his eyes turned to slit.
He thought that this little Blade has change his way of chasing is that it? Since he didn't respond to the way he was chasing him before he changes his tactics.
Edward was interested in what kind of play this guy was playing. He watched the face of Blade that was covered with dried blood and dirt. The most prominent feature in his face was his red blood lips and his sparkling eyes.
He averted his eyes and look the streets filled with blood and cars that are abandoned. Mutilated corpses were lying on the streets with large flies flying over them and maggots crawling in them.
Edward was sure that the journey to the City M would provide him much time to get to know better what Blade was cooking.
