Dave looked at himself in the mirror, his face was really pale, almost ghostly. He had noticed that he was feeling weak but still chose to not stay in his room. It was rather safe here and then to give his assassins a chance to kill him.
" I am fine, I just didn't get enough sleep yesterday." Dave lied and gave the mirror back to Oscar.
" Well, if you say so, I have to believe in that. However, I don't want to make you work when you are in such a condition." Oscar spoke.
" Don't worry, let's continue our first day working together. I am sure I can handle myself under any circumstances." Dave assured him.
" Alright, so I searched the libraries for this Appraisal skill. It must be a very rare skill because it was not mentioned anywhere. However, since we have a general idea of how your skill works we don't need to research anymore about it." Oscar spoke and then added, " I believe we can make a lot of profits with this."
" How?" Dave asked.
" It's really simple, our guild dealers daily deal in many goods. Sometimes the things we consider worthless, and sometimes the things we consider trash are very useful. Because of that, we suffered many losses, however, with that rare skill of yours we can now remove this risk." Oscar spoke with a big smile on his face.
There was a saying back on earth, the bigger risk you will take the more benefits you will reap. Dave was sure that even without his skill Oscar might have made many huge profits. His skill will help him remove the risk factor and he will now only reap huge profits.
Dave was bothered by it, because if he is the only one who can use this skill then he is going to be overworked.

Throughout the day Dave had almost worked for eight hours. This was very tiring considering he only had a total of ten units of mana. He was given a mana motion to replenish it but he didn't like the taste at all.
First the poisoning and now being constantly drained of mana was making him lose his vitality faster.
' This is the reason why I hated working for others.' Dave reminded himself why he never wanted to work for someone else.
He was constantly appraising various things like armour, weapons, monster body parts, etc., and was documenting the results of the appraisal.
In both worlds, the people were the same, they were always trying to make an employee work more than they are capable of. After a tiring day, Oscar finally came to collect the documents.
" You have done well, don't worry I will check them tomorrow."
" Can you come with me? I have a reward for you." Oscar spoke.
" Reward, I deserve a gold chest for all the hard work."
" I know, But I have something better than that for you." Oscar dragged him to his office.
When they reached the office, Oscar quickly opened his drawer and took out a small box. After unlocking the box there was one onyx stone within the box.
" What is this?" Dave asked after seeing that.
" Go on, why don't you use your skill to check?" Oscar grinned.
Dave activated his appraisal skill, and soon he found out what the stone was.

' Is this how we raise the levels?' Dave thought, For a very long time he has been confused about how can he raise his level. No one had ever told him how to, and he never tried to ask anything about it yet.
It was obvious to him that to become stronger he needed to boost his level and this will surely be helpful.
" So, do you like it?" Oscar asked.
" I like it, but are you going to give me only one of these?" Dave replied.
" What do you mean only one? It's almost worth two golden chests." Oscar snorted.
" Wait, so is this hard to level up? Do I have to wait years before levelling up?" Dave asked.
" It's hard to level up for people like you, you don't have a class so you also don't have a level-up condition. For now, you can only use these stones to level up, and later when you gain a class it will be easier." Oscar explained.
Now, Dave finally understood why he didn't have any clue about how to level up. There is something like a level-up condition and since he didn't have any class yet, he had no condition to fulfil for levelling up.
" How do I gain a class?" He asked Oscar.
" You have to spend a lot more money to gain a class since you didn't have any class at this age. Usually, people get a class at the age of 15, but you are already 20 years old. You can gain a class through a temple but they ask for very big donations." Oscar explained.
Hearing this made Dave's mood sour, but he quickly shifted his attention to the notification that was in front of him.

Dave selected [ Yes] which resulted in the stone breaking into several light particles and then being absorbed into his body. He felt suddenly energized because of levelling up.

" Only one stat point?" Dave couldn't explain his disappointment. He levelled up but it seems just levelling up will not be effective if he wants to become stronger.
" Yes, you can only get one stat point as a reward every time you level up. I would suggest increasing your mana." Oscar spoke.
Dave thought about Oscar's suggestion, even though mana is the most useful stat, it's at 10 units at the moment. On the other hand, all of his other stats are at 1. Besides he can always use mana potions to replenish it.
" Since you have helped me level up, do you want me to go along with your decision?" Dave looked at Oscar with a questioning gaze.
" No, I am just giving a suggestion. It's up to you since I need you to have as much mana as possible to make huge profits, it's just to motivate one of my employees." Oscar was shameless as he pointed out what he had planned, but Dave was even more shameless.
" I am going to boost my endurance if you don't mind. I think I am about to collapse." He said.
After using the stat point, Dave checked the status window.
