" But mister Malas, I have already informed you of the urgent requirement of finances. Our guild is not in a position to offer anything in credit, If you will not pay then I will have to transfer the rights of the goods to someone who can pay us immediately."
Iris spoke, her face showing how tired she was working so long on her own.
" You are throwing over a trade relationship just like that, I don't mind if you do transfer the rights. However, make sure to rethink because if you do as you say then we will never trade with you again. The Der-scent merchant group is not some newcomer guild like you, so If I were in your place I would believe in not breaking relations with our group."
The man stood up and left in an angry mood, seeing that Iris sighed and put her down on the desk. She felt tired since yesterday when Dave left.
' Why am I always thinking about him?' She thought, ' ...He said he will be alright, I hope he comes back safely.'
However, when she was lost in her thoughts someone knocked on the office door.
" Come in," Iris spoke, and soon a woman in a maid's uniform walked inside. It startled her, she was thinking that it was one of the construction workers that she hired to repair the guild.
" Nice to meet you, I am the personal maid of lady Jenny Aurilion." The made spoke.
It startled Iris because just recently the knight commander of the duke came to visit them to meet Jin.
' Is it about Jin again?' She thought and then offered the maid to sit.
" I appreciate your gesture but My Lady is waiting outside in the carriage, she sent me to ask for permission whether or not we can have a meeting with the man whose name is Jin. We have found that he is the manager of this guild." She spoke.
" I am sorry but Jin is currently unavailable, he left for a quest yesterday and I am not sure when he would return."
Iris's reply received a disappointed look from the maid. She took out a communicator from her uniform's pocket and then relayed the information to someone. Iris could hear the faint voices coming out of the communicator but she didn't understand any word properly.
"...Do you mind if Milady can rest here?" The Maid asked. " We have travelled through the streets, and here the streets were filled with huge crowds she isn't used to travelling like this for long so please allow this."
" No, I don't mind...I will make preparations." Iris spoke in a startled tone of voice.
Suddenly a person of nobility was going to be a guest in the guild. She never expected that when everything is in a mess. However, the maid stopped her from doing anything and just asked permission for lodging.
Soon she could hear the cheerful voice of a young girl outside her office. Finally, she reached her office wearing a silver-blue dress and a white fur overcoat.
" It's pleasure to meet you, miss Iris, I am Jenny Aurilion, the daughter of Alec Aurilion." She introduced herself with a courteous bow.
" I am Iris, my lady please have a seat," Iris replied.
" Thank you, if you are free, may I take some of your time? You see I have several questions regarding the man named Jin." Jenny spoke.
" Yes, what do you want to ask?" She answered immediately, Jenny sat in the seat in front of her before speaking.
" What kind of a man is this person?" Jenny asked.
Iris was startled by such questions but managed to not lose her composure.
" Why do you want to know such a thing?" She asked nervously.
" You see I had asked my brother to recommend one of his friends to be my escort knight. I think my brother chose this man, however, I had never met him or heard about him from my brother."
' Jin knows her brother...is he nobility? He did lie about his name so maybe he is hiding his identity.' Iris thought with a sombre look on her face.
" ...So can you tell me what is he like? Is he handsome? Is he a good person? How is his behaviour towards other people?" She asked.
It was obvious for a noble to look for escorts, and Jenny was a noble under the family of a duke. Iris could tell that her standard must have been high that she still didn't have one yet, but she tried to be honest with her.
" He is taller than most men, he is attractive and dresses well. When I first met him, from his actions he appeared to be reluctant towards working hard yet he still assisted me with whatever I needed him to do. He is a little hot-tempered so whenever someone makes him angry, he replies in kind, most of the time he relies on violent methods to deal with things but still he is a good and reliable person." Iris explained what he truly thinks of Jin as per his actions.
" That sounds like a bad person to me," Jenny spoke with a disappointed face. " Whatever, if I have come this far, I should better meet him once since my brother had recommended him to be my escort."
Just when they were having this conversation, suddenly an emergency sound rang throughout the town. Iris and others became alert after hearing that sound, and soon several knights came inside the office.
" ...My lady, A Demon had invaded Luxor town, we have just been informed by the Public guild that several elite members of the Black Dawn are causing trouble in the town. We must get you to safety out of this town as soon as possible."
" What kind of demon?" Jenny asked, " ...and what is this Black Dawn?"
