Dave and Iris once again returned to the Public guild as they somehow managed to convince or threaten the information Guild into becoming their employees on paper only. Once again they submitted an appeal for the license and this time, with a different method. They didn't submit to the reception and directly walked into the room, this time one of the people from the information guild was with them.
They were a little reluctant at first but after a little bit of convincing or threatening, the information guild finally agreed. Dave promised that he would help them if they ever require his help. After finally discussing among themselves they agreed to help but for a limited time only.
Iris once again made some necessary changes in the Appeal because now they would have the required number of employees that they needed for the continuation of the license.
" Mark is a very useful guy, isn't he?" Dave smilingly said once they entered the main office.
Mark was the leader and the same guy who approached Dave first when they visited their base. He had a special permit that allowed the three of them to enter the office without any issues from the guards.
Both of them were quickly able to spot Gon, who walked towards them with an annoying look on his face.
" Guards! Guards!..." He shouted and the guards walked inside the office. " How did these people enter the office?"
"...Sir, they have a special permit." The guard who had allowed them to enter answered.
" What? How can they have the special permit?" He shouted,
" Show Him, Mark!" Dave slapped Mark's back gently but it caused him to be pushed forward two steps ahead.
" As you can see that we have the special permit." Mark showed the emblem and Gon's face paled.
He started to accuse that it was fake but the guards confirmed that it was real. The information guild had very big connections everywhere to be able to get a special permit. Dave had made four people from the information guild sign temporary employment contracts.
They were not working for real but still, they will be considered employees.
" We would like to meet the department head," Dave spoke and then asked, " Would you please let us speak to him?"
Dave wasn't asking for permission, he once again was about to slap Mark on the back. But he moved forward before Dave could do that and guided them toward where the Department head was supposed to be sitting and soon the talk for license continuation started.

" Congratulations..." As Dave and Iris walked out of the Public Guild Dave finally spoke. On her face, it was visible that she was over the moon today. She turned toward Dave with a smile.
" Thank you!" Iris spoke. " If it weren't for you, we wouldn't have gotten this opportunity. We can finally make a good start to establishing our guild in this town."
" You have to thank yourself, it was clear that having enough members was not enough. If it weren't for your well-prepared appeal then there might have been problems...I can't believe you had prepared so many things beforehand." Dave replied. " Also, I think if Mark hadn't threatened that guy by showing the special permit then the conversation would not have been that effective. Just how do I get a special permit?"
" ...Figure out yourself. I think we are done, Am I allowed to leave now?" He asked.
" Wait," Iris spoke and then added, " I apologize for my manager's rough attitude towards you but here take this as a token of gratitude."
She handed him two glowing gems, Dave was able to recognize that they were Soul Cores.
" I am sorry, Mark, I will come to meet you again if I ever need your help." He spoke making the information guild member flinch. He quickly took his leave after that.
Now that the guild was no longer going to close down soon, Dave was hoping to take on some hunting quests from the Public Guild. Gladly in this branch, he doesn't have to do much work as of yet, because they had closed the operations of the guild for a few days.
Iris has been thinking of running a proper recruitment campaign once again, They were able to successfully get the approval, but these guys are just faking it. She wished that the guild can operate the same way it does in the capital.
" I think I should take on one hunting quest," Dave spoke.
"...Will you be okay? By the way, I never asked but what's your level?"
" Oh, I am Level 2," Dave answered.
" Oh, Level 2"
" Wait...Did you say 2? I think I heard wrong," She asked.
" You heard right, I am Level 2," Dave answered again, she looked at him with a horrified face.
" You are not going anywhere, I don't have anyone to help me and we need to hire lots of people... You hear...mr. wannabee 7864th!.."
Just like that her lecture about how dangerous the missions were started.

" Madam Shiloh, we have received the news that the Public Guild has approved the license request of Wolf Slayer Guild!" An old Man wearing a butler's uniform spoke.
The person he was talking to was a woman in her 30s, she wore a black and gold color knight's uniform with several medals. She had fair skin, short black hair with an oval-shaped face. Her face after hearing the news turned from calm to a disgruntled look, and she asked the butler how that happened.
" But who would join that guild? Aren't our people stopping them?" She asked.
" Our people who we have hired to obstruct anyone from joining that guild are...Missing."
" What could I expect from a murderer? Either Oscar had captured them or maybe have killed them." Shiloh stood up from her chair and started to think about what to do. " If they can do that to our people then we will do the same with his people...and our first target shall be that stubborn girl, if not for her the Guild would have collapsed a long time ago." Shiloh gave another order.
