Lacy was sitting in a cafe and she was all indulgent in the novel she was reading. Lacy was reading a novel and drinking her coffee while reading the novel but she was not only there in the cafe to read a novel but she was also there waiting for someone.
It's been awhile since she has been waiting for that one person so to utilize her time she started reading the novel while sipping her favorite coffee.
As she was all indulged in reading a novel, the person she was waiting for a while came there.
Hemingson entered the cafe and he loved the cozy environment of the cafe which also brought a big smile on his face. He was searching for the person he came there to meet and just then his eyes caught a girl who was smiling while reading a book.
Hemingson went there and that's when he noticed the features of the girls. The beautiful doe shaped eyes and the beautiful smile which is playing on her lips while she is reading the novel.
" Sorry. I'm late " Hemingson said, looking towards her when he reached the cafe.
" It's ok. Have a seat " Lacy said gesturing towards the chair in front of her.
" How are you? " he asked while sitting on the chair in front of her.
" Good and you? " she asked him with a smiling face looking towards him.
" Good. " he said with a smiling face looking towards her and after a while he again said "You are beautiful " happily
" Thank you, " she said, looking towards him with a smile.
" I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself. I am Hemingson " he said and forwarded his hand for the handshake.
𝙃𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨𝙤𝙣 :-
He is well-known and well-respected by all. He is a soldier who was commissioned as Lieutenant and then he got promoted as a Captain after the accomplishment of the big task. He has a fearless nature.
His curls were loose and he had curly dark black hair. He had gorgeous hazel eyes that strangely suited him. His physique is muscular and he stood tall, he was around 6'4. There was no ignoring the fact that this man is handsome.
Hemingson cleared his throat and that's when Lacy came out from her thoughts and extended her hand for a handshake and said " Hey, I am Lacy "
𝙇𝙖𝙘𝙮 :-
Lacy thick lashed doe shaped eyes were pale blue, like the tranquil waters of some distant Caribbean island. But the longer you gazed into them, the clearer you saw it. A pained, lingering veil of sadness. At twenty-five this girl had already seen too much of life. Lacy is working as an HR Manager in one of the biggest companies i.e. Moonlight Company.
" So what do you think about marriage? " he asked her, looking towards her happily.
" Hemingson, the thing is that I don't want to marry an army or police officer " she said looking down towards her coffee.
" Why? " he asked, shockingly looking towards her as he never thought that this would be her reply.
" I just don't like them, " she said, still looking down towards her coffee and being a little bit scared of what his reaction would be after hearing this.
" So you judge people by their profession or duty " he said looking towards her, being a little bit angry as he never thought that someone would say something like this to him.
" It's not like that, " she said, looking towards him confidently.
" So what is it ? " he asked her, looking towards her, confused about what she was trying to say.
" I'm afraid to lose people " she said looking towards him with a sad smile
" I'm not getting it, " he said, being confused and asking himself why she can't be straight forward.
" You know Hemingson, everyday the family of an army or police officer was in tension over whether their child is okay or not. He/she will come home or not, he/she will be alive or not and I don't want to experience that fear " she said looking towards him sadly and hoping that he will understand all the things she is saying.
" So why did you come here to meet me? " he asked , confused while taking a sip of his coffee.
" Because my parents forced me " she said looking down towards the empty cup of coffee.
" You can say no to them also, " he said, looking towards her while drinking his coffee.
" I did. I told them that I don't want to marry an army or police officer but they were like just go and meet the guy " she said, looking towards him and hoping that he will understand her point.
" Why do you hate us so much? " he said, looking towards her angrily.
" I don't hate it. It's just I don't want to experience that fear. It hurts a lot when someone goes away. " she said sadly
" Your brother Eagan told me everything but he never told me this , why? " he said looking towards her being confused
" You know my brother " she said looking towards him in disbelief and in shock because she never heard about him from his brother.
Hemingson nodded in agreement looking towards her while drinking his coffee.
" How? " she said being confused while looking towards him
" We are friends and we are together in the camp. I'm not getting it Why do you hate us so much? " he told her everything calmly while drinking his coffee.
" I said, Hemingson I don't hate you " she said looking towards him angrily as he did not understand what she was trying to say.
" Do you know how special and important our duty is? " he asked her, putting his cup down on the table angrily and it made a loud noise.
" I know " she said looking towards him being understanding whatever he is saying
" You know nothing Lacy . We are doing our duty, that's why you guys are alive. Only we know how we feel when we are on the border " he said looking towards her angrily and being pissed off with her.

" I know Hemingson. I know how proud you feel but Hemingson I don't want to experience that fear. " she said, sadly and hoping again and again that he will understand her point.
" So it's a no from your side right " he asked her being straight forward
" Yes right " she said looking towards him as all that she wanted was that he understood her point and after the whole discussion he understood everything.
" Ok then you can go from here, don't waste your time. " he said rudely looking towards her.
Lacy wanted to say something but then she didn't say anything . She just left from there.
Lacy was angry not because Hemingson didn't understand but because Eagan, his brother Eagan, didn't tell her anything about this and he was also involved in this marriage proposal even after he knew every single thing related to his sister.
Hemingson was talking with Lacy's brother , Eagan , when suddenly Lacy entered.
" Brother... " Lacy started looking towards her brother worriedly about what Hemingson had said to her brother but she got stopped by Eagan.

Eagan is also a Captain of the Army just like Hemingson. They both are like brothers as the whole 4 years they stayed together and know a lot about each other.
His hair is dark brown and wavy. He was 6'3 tall. On the outside he is a tough cookie, but on the inside, he is a softie. He is also really encouraging and supportive.
Eagan and Lacy are not related by blood but they are very well attached with hearts and Lacy always treats Eagan as her own big brother and Eagan always treats Lacy as his own little sweet sister.
" How can you be so rude to someone? " Eagan said looking towards her angrily
" I was not rude brother " she said looking towards her brother worriedly.
" You were that rude, " Hemingson said, looking towards her as he never expected that she would behave like that with him.
" So you came here to complain. I can also complain that you shouted at me " she said angrily looking towards Hemingson
" Yes I did because you are pointing at my duty " he said looking towards her without even getting scared from Eagan.
" I didn't point out on your duty I just said that I don't like to be with an army officer " she said looking towards him so that he can understand
" So it means you don't like your brother either. You hate him right " he said, looking towards her while crossing his arms.
" Shut up " she shouted angrily looking towards him as to how he can say all these things about his brother.
" Lacy " Eagan shouted her name angrily so that she could stop shouting
" Brother hate is a very big word and you know I don't hate people. " she said looking towards his brother sadly
