Chapter 9 - VII

Once, twice, I told you that I'd have you in my arms thrice."

"Gabriel, what's the status?" I inquired. Something blocked our comms from reaching Nirvana when she left the bar, she must've thought that we betrayed her but in fact that wasn't the problem. "She's out now sir, I inject her with the midazolam while she was in shock so she didn't notice." Gabriel replied. I smiled Nirvana did a good job and I couldn't wait to praise her, however, we had more pressing matter at hand. Someone betrayed us and interfered with the comms from getting in contact with her. No one else knew about the mission expect for Gabriel, Nirvana and I.

We didn't tell our men anything until it was time as we kept as much info from them as possible for safety reasons. Seems we have some betrayers in my organization. "Get her back here safely, keep an eye out for any suspicious behaviour, and get your trusted men to get rid of the evidence." I spoke. It was time to go pay old Nick a visit in those dungeons. "So I'm not in a good mood right now so I suggest you begin to spill." I stated. Ah, this was truly annoying.

"You good for nothing spoiled brat! You mock your father's name, it should've been you who died and not him," Nick spat.

I picked up the chopper knife and hammer from the table walking over to him, "Pass me the screw." One of my men passed it to me. "Now let me tell you something, you should be grateful to me that you're alive, in fact worship me," I taunt. I grabbed his hand before placing it onto the table. Old Nick started to thrash about and yelled. "You are sick bastard, you're crazy piece of shit. Don't touch me you shit." I placed the screw right in the center of the back of his hand. "Tell me something that I don't know," I laughed.

The screeching sound of agony filled my ears like a sweet melody when I knocked the screw into his hand. I then cut of his pinky finger next. "Tell me who else is working with you right now," I command.

"I don't know what the fuck you're talking about," He swore. I sliced off another finger as blood spilled everywhere. "Okay, I-I'll tell you what I know." Just as I was about to cut another finger off. "I don't know much, but it's two men who you hired to kidnap that girl, they offered me some money because they found about the assets that I stole and threatened to tell y-you." He plead. "Thank you Old Nick, was that so hard?" I grinned. "Don't worry though, they are already dead and they didn't tell me anything I found out on my own." I took the gun from my waist before loading it. "See you in hell fucker," before it went off.

"Clean this mess up." I stated. My phone rang, "Hello sire, she's home and should wake any time soon." I smiled Nirvana was finally safe now. "Good keep an eye on her, I'm on my way."

I had overheard the convo before I met Nirvana, how the men were discussing me to each other and the type of 'woman' I associated my self with. I had to pretend as if I didn't know and then got rid of them later as to not scare Nirvana. "Ah, princess you bring me so much luck the moment I saw you at that café," I muttered. Now what reward should I give her as I wasn't good with things like this.

I opened the door and was greeted with a loud scream. It was Nirvana, she sounds as if she were in pain. Anger rose in the pit of my stomach when I heard her voice. "What's going on?" I asked Gabriel. "She's having a nightmare it seems," He replied.

I pushed pass him as I took her into my arms, her brows furrowed and her body dripping in sweat. "N-no, I'm sorry." She whimpers. "Shhhh, it's okay princess. You're safe now, no one will hurt you." As I rocked her to and fro. Her body was so small in my arms and light weight, how fragile she was that it made me want to protect her and be the one to bring her to ruins. Her eyes slowly opened as they widen when she recognizes that it was me. "Don't kill me please, I'm sorry I failed. I didn't- mean to." She begged.

"Princess, I want you to listen to me carefully. You did a good job and I'm proud of you," I praised her. Confusion was written all over her face before I proceed, "Do you want me to explain?" She nod her head. "Something went wrong with our comms princess, so we couldn't get in contact with you right away. You didn't fail the mission you did a good job, in fact you exceeded my expectations," I reassured. Her eyes brighten up as she smiled.

"Do you wanna know what your reward is?" I asked. Her cheeks turned pink as she hid her face. I smirked, "Princess, what kind of dirty thoughts are you having?"

"N-nothing just thinking," she said. "Well your reward is whatever you ask of me to do, you can think about it." I pulled her into my arms and kissed her forehead. The sweet smell of her body intoxicated my entire being. "Is that man dead?" She asked. "Yes he is princess and you didn't kill him so you're not a murderer, he was a bad man that got what he deserved," I replied.

"Do you wanna go to college and work tomorrow?" I changed the subject. "-I got your notes that you missed for the last two days and your manager said you can come back when you're ready," As I hand her the folder. She looked at me with teary eyes, "Thank you so much Mr. Armani, and I'll just take an extra day to rest if that's okay."

"Well do get some rest, and if you need anything Gabriel will be here with you so feel free to ask." I got up from the bed and tuck her under the covers.

"Good night Nirvana," As I turned the lights off. "You seem to care about her sire," Gabriel spoke. "I'm just protecting my assets, besides I need her in good condition to carry out her tasks, needn't not to ask so much questions Gabriel, just do your job."

"My apologies, sire."
