Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 The New Beginning

The year is 2077 and humanity had grown beyond the world's limit as the population reaches 57.4 billion.

On the 7th day of the 7th month of the 77th year, 16 billion teenagers disappeared all over the world.

All 16 billion teenagers had been transported to identical rooms.

In one room stood a blond-haired boy around 18 years old.

Ravin looked around the room but could only see dark smoke throughout the room with purple streaks moving around.

[Welcome to a second chance]

Startled Ravin looked for where the voice came from but found nothing.

[The world you know as Earth is dyeing you will be transported to another world known as Alsean with 16 billion teenagers as the first wave of planetary salvation]

A confused look appeared on Ravin's face he knew the name of that planet from someplace, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

Thinking back, he remembered a game that he beta tested, and that world was also called Alsean.

Although similar the start of the game was different one needed to pick 3 skills ca. . . .

[please pick your 3 skill cards so you can start your journey into the new world]

'shit' This was the game he played or at least somewhat similar.

[All skill cards have a ranking ranging from high to low SSS, SS, S, A, B, C, D, E, F, G]

Looking to the centre of the room he saw a black stone pillar which a deck of cards laying on top.

He made his way over with a cautious step. Reaching out his hand slowly he taped the top of the cards.

"wish"

The deck of cards dissipated into the air revolving around the pillar.

Thousands of cards revolved around the room all glowing with majestic lights.

This was the part he never liked about the beta test if you got bad skills, it would make the start tiresome.

He luckily got a D rank skill while playing which helped him a lot but now it could mean life or death.

The problem was he knew the odds of 1000 cards 80% were G, F, and E ranked. 19% being D, C, and B ranked. With only around a 1% chance to get A, S, SS, or SSS rank.

And after playing the beta test he found out that the starter skills were somewhat rigged so the best you could get was A-rank.

He looked at the cards with curiosity and hope but also dread.

While he looked at the cards a white fog started to seep into the room and cover the flour.

Being too busy fixated on the cards he only noticed the fog when it went passed his feet.

The fog started to form words on the floor.

"Thank you for beta testing. what?" he looked at the fog with confusion.

Before he had a chance the fog lunged from the ground straight towards him.

"AAHH!!"

The fog in the room started flowing into his eye sockets sucking the room dry of the misty aura.

Falling to his knees and placing his hands over his eyes.

"What the hell was that?" He was really confused nothing like that happened in the game.

Looking around everything went back to normal, but his eyes had a sting to them like you just went swimming in a chlorine pool.

But looking at a card floating close to him he could see a letter appear on the back of it. G.

Soon one by one all the cards started showing their rank.

His heart started beating faster and faster with this he could get the best skills while most people start with G or F rank skills.

Out of the thousands of cards, he found 1 SSS rank skill 1 SS rank skill and 2 S Rank skills.

He picked the 3 cards SSS, SS and S ranked and waited for what was next.

[Congrats you've picked your 3 skills now prepare for your new life]

As the voice finished the room started to twist and turn moving like a snake.

The room shrunk until he couldn't see anymore, and his vision was pitch black.

------------------------------------

He woke up with a blazing light blinding him as he opened his eyes.

Reaching out to prop his body up he grabbed a handful of sand.

Looking around he could tell he was in a desert.

[Location]

The Divide of Death

He remembered hearing stories about this desert when he played the game but never got the chance to come here.

The Divide was a desert situated right down the middle of a super continent spanning 3000 thousand miles across and 7000 thousand miles top to bottom.

It was the biggest desert and the harshest environment. Home to bandits and all manner of desert creatures it had few recourses and even water was a commodity.

He looked below him find 3 cards and a blue orb.

The Divide of Death

"DAM IT" He didn't want to see the last part.

Now he could only make his city in the divide meaning he would have a gruelling time just to set up basic things like water and food supply.

Looking around he tried to orientate himself.

On the map he was close to what was known as the white claw. It was a mountain range made of white marble that descended from the top of the desert for 1000 thousand miles forming what looked like a claw.

The claw made a large area surrounded on 3 side by white mountains it was a good place to set up his city and would help shield him from sandstorms and over disasters.
