Russel Deniro's POV
"Sir, the thing you asked for." Elios handed the envelope to me with a frown. He might have found something.
"Is something the matter, Elios?" I dropped the envelope on the table and leaned on my leather chair with folded arms.
"Sir, you need to focus on the last page of this document." Elios pointed at the envelope with a troubled look. So, this Dracaena has some hidden secrets too, or perhaps she is the one I am looking for.
Nodding my head, I opened the envelope and went through the information- the same as the last time. I skimmed through the last page as per his request, but nothing caught my attention except for the last line of investigation.
"There is no data of her living here in her early ages, and most importantly, her data is kept confidential. I tried to use all the means but did not get my hands on her parent's name." Elios rubbed his chin while reporting the results of his investigation.
"What about her other family members?" It is usual for people of high society to keep their information under wrap, and Dracaena is on top. Based on this one piece of information, I can't doubt her.
"I have heard some rumours while investigating Ms Dracaena. There was a fire in Vantoase Villa when she was young, and by the time the rescue team arrived, Mr and Mrs Vantoase were found dead. Ms Dracaena was the only survivor. There are also medical records of her going to a psychiatrist for therapy because of the trauma. I tried to find the name of her parents through medical records, but all my attempts were futile." Elios sighed at the end. I know he likes to complete the task, but there is no way we can put our hands on her information until she wants us to.
"Elios, you don't need to look into her anymore. She is not a potential threat to us." This investigation ends here. I put the document in my safe drawer and turned my attention to some pack matters which needed my immediate attention.
"As you command." Elios looked dejected because I dropped this investigation midway.
"Your majesty, I have received news from the butler of the Royal palace this morning. Someone is trying to stir trouble in your absence." Elios turns his way of addressing me when he starts to report pack matters. This quality of his makes him unique from other knights.
"I want to fuck that motherfucker! How dare he spread rumours about you being impotent and that your mate has rejected you." Oh, man! Quincey barged into my office with a red face. He is always this impulsive- wanting to shed blood instead of formulating a plan.
"Go ahead and fuck him, Quincey. He already has eyes on the bulge under your pants." I commented with a smirk. Elios rubbed his nose to stop himself from laughing.
"Looks like I was worried for nothing, your majesty." Quincey gritted his teeth and gave me a disgusting look.
"Let him spread those rumours till I am busy here. It will be a good reason to throw him to banish him. This will make our plan go smoothly." My poor cousin- If he wants the throne with that little mindset of his, then I have to put him back in his place and pay a visit to my aunt.
"You want to remove him to lure the real mastermind." Quincey clicked his fingers with a shake of his head.
I have yet to play my cards. This is only the beginning, there is more yet to come.
