{Noah}
" I see... this is quite something. The reason why they used the cafeteria in such a way is that food is important for everybody whether you are a commoner or a Noble. You need to eat and from what I saw the free menu gives you barely enough to last until the next meal. By showing us that they tried to make us understand from the get-go money, title, or connections mean nothing here even to eat you only need one thing; points. And by showing us that on our very first day, they made us restless. they talked about points without mentioning how to earn points... So this is the academy...interesting!"
- Now I'm sure that after this explanation there is one thing you really want to know and that probably is, how to acquire points. Says the teacher with a devious smile.
It shows on every student faces the impatience to know the answer, as well as the fear of the following words that are gonna, to come out of Andre's mouth.
Andre continues.
- There is three way to earn points and the first one is...
Every student gulps except Noah.
{Noah}
" I can guess the first one since it's pretty obvious. However the two other I can't."
-... EXAMS! finishes Andre.
{Noah}
" As expected."
The students seem relieved but worried at the same time.
- The points are scaled with the grading system. The grading system is simple. There are five grades in total. A, B, C, D, E. When a student gets an E, it means he failed therefore he or she gets 0 points. When a student gets a D, it means he or she barely passed therefore he or she gets 10 points. When a student gets a C, it means he or she passed therefore he or she gets 50 points. When a student gets a B, it means he or she passed with an above-average score therefore he or she gets 100 points. When a student gets an A, it means he or she passed while meeting every requirement therefore he or she gets 500 points.
The students start mumbling and the worries are clearly showing on some students' faces, commoners students.
{Juliana}
" This reaction coming from the commoner's children is understandable. The meal on the Points course that is the cheapest cost 100 points and most commoners don't know how to read or write this is a clear advantage for most nobles since we are taught these things early in our childhood. Most of us start learning how to read and write at 4 latest at 6."
{Lumia}
" The academy is supposed to be a place where titles or standings don't matter but this is a clear advantage for the Nobles."
- Teacher! This is definitely not fair for us commoners. a student says.
Commoners students are starting to voice out their complaints.
- This is why commoners shouldn't be allowed in this sacred place of learning that is the academy. says a student who is obviously a noble.
The students start fighting by arguing against each other.
{Noah}
" This is annoying. It will probably lead to the creation of factions in the academy... No... perhaps there are already factions within the academy created by students. Now that I think of it, there is no way nobles, children at that will be able to get along with the commoner's students. But this is getting loud. If there is one thing that I loved about the fact that most of humanity was wiped out was the silence that there was. I really hate when there is too much noise. Should I just kill them?"
{Bright}
- Noah! What are you thinking!?
Noah seems shocked by his own thought.
{Noah}
" Sorry, Bright. I... I don't know what came over me."
{Bright}
- Listen, Noah. I know that you are still not completely used to being back to a world where it's not kill to survive. You don't need to be a killing machine anymore. You need to regain your humanity.
{Noah}
" Maybe... maybe you are right. At least for now, at least for now, I don't need to become what I was back then. Yeah, for now, I don't need to be the one that wore a fox mask."
{Bright}
" And hopefully you won't ever need to wear that mask again." thought Bright.
- Alright! Alright! Calm down, kids. Let me continue.
The students keep arguing. Noah gets ready to make a move but Juliana gets up.
- Enough! Can you really call yourselves nobles while acting in such a foul manner?
The nobles start calming down.
- As for you commoners, the reason why this all started is that you guys started acting out. If you know that you don't have a good image then you need to do the necessary to improve it.
The commoners also start calming down.
{Noah}
" I guess she and Gancelot aren't the children of the king for no reason. They are mature and have some charisma, well more like she got some charisma while Gancelot acts like a child most of the time."
{Britght}
- You do know that you all are children right?
{Noah}
"Can you leave?"
{Bright}
- Alright! I'm leaving.
Bright cuts the communication.
[Inside the Inner Realm]
- What is going on, Dull? asks Bright. Isn't happening earlier than usual?
- It is.
- Why? It's too soon! He just came back from his past life, he still has his habits from back then. His Demonic Instincts shouldn't awaken now! Otherwise, he's gonna become a daemon.
- Brother did you forget what Demonic Instincts are? What is the difference between a Demon and a Daemon?
- No, I didn't.
- I'll talk to him after he's done with school. Whether he likes it or not, he got demon blood in his vein and he needs to know what it means and the risk involving possessing demon blood.
[Back in the real world]
{Andre}
" It was only a tiny amount and only for a short time but I definitely felt it. Noah exuded some blood thirst. Unlike killing intent or blood lust that one exudes in order to express or warn someone that you might or will kill them, contrary to that, blood thirst is only exuded when one wants to kill, when one has an uncontrollable desire to kill. Most of the time those exuding it don't even realize that they are doing it. Does that mean that he unconsciously wanted to kill a student or maybe every student present in the class? I'll need to report this to the principal."
- Alright now that it's gotten a little bit silencer I will continue where I left off. The second way to earn points is to work part-time.
- What does that mean teacher? asks Lumia.
- It's understandable you don't what it means since you are a noble. starts another student. A part-time job is when somebody hires you to do a job and in exchange for that the employer gives you an hourly wage and in this case, the wage would be points, is my answer, correct teacher.
- That's correct uumm...
- My name is Aos Lenon.
- Oh! from the Lenon group? asks Andre.
- That's right.
{Noah}
"Lenon Group is a merchant group if my memory serves right. They are not nobles but they have the riches of one and in the Lenon Group's case even the power of one. I guess he is trying to build some connections."
- Thank you for the explanation, Lenon. says, Lumia.
- No problem. answers Aos.
Andre continues.
- Finally, the third and last way is... drumroll, please!
Nobody does it since most are extremely worried.
- No, no one. Ok! Well, the third way is Quests!
Some students look at each other with questions on their faces. Andre continues.
- When you go to the plaza, there is a board there that board is called Quest Board. On the quest board, you can find quests that are put there by students, teachers, or sometimes even the principal. When you clear the Quest you are rewarded Points the amount of points you receive is already mentioned on the Quest. However, you can't just take any quest. You first got to scan the quest with your watch and if the watch successfully acquires the Quest then you can be on your way but if it refuses it means that the Quest difficulty is too high for your current level. Oh! and if you scan the Quest Board, your watch will register it and you will have access to the Quest Board with your watch, however, sometimes, some people don't put their quest on the online Quest Board since, you know, anybody can tell it's you. You lose the element of confidentiality if you post it on the online Quest Board since your watch all have your student profile everybody knows who posted what. Now that's all for the academy's Point System. Does anybody have a question?
Silence in the class.
- Ok since nobody got questions then let's start our first general class!
