Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: Spirit User

The imp professor smiled and nodded, rubbing his chin while looking at the mid-tier spirit. It wasn't common for such young adults/children to be able to summon mid-tier spirits. Usually it takes 50 years of experience to get a mid-tier spirit beast.

"Quite impressive for someone your age." He happily said as he turned to the class, "As you can see, Miss Silver is what you call a Spirit User".

The prof snapped his fingers as a Rune scroll to summon spirits appeared in front of each student. "Now let's try and summon your first spirit beast!"

Walking back to my seats I sat down and looked at the summoning scroll observing it like a predator eyeing its prey. Although the scroll was of high quality it wouldn't be able to summon anything above lower-tier magical spirits/animals.

Summoning is in a sense a part of runes, which is another form of magic but using a different language. It's like comparing two different papers of the same subject, where one side has less value then the latter. And because of that it was impossible to summon a mid to high-tier spirit with a low-level scroll. Unless you tamper with it.

I mischievously smiled while looking at the scroll. It was like an artbook for my eyes, a toy for a child or a sword for a knight. However it wasn't possible to change it as there were also rune smiths in the dwarven or rune-caster in the elven continent that were able to temper with the words to make it more advanced.

"Impressive, Silver you should consider pucking my summoning and rune classes next year. You have a talent in summoning and rune making" I heard the prof voice behind me as I jumped from my seat and turned around, seeing the red skinned tall man eyeing me.

I laughed as I finished my scroll. Having no purpose of using it for myself I put it in my purse as I looked if anyone needed help. I stopped my search when I saw a blonde girl in the top corner struggling and crying she was Evelynn.

Seeing her desperate expression I could tell she had a passion for not just spirits but animals in general. Yes, she was the right one I thought to myself as I got up from my desk and walked to her, approaching her with a warm and bubbly tone.

"Hey it's alright Evelynn Walters. If you wouldn't mind, do you want my help?" I asked.

The blond lady sniffed as she turned and faced me, her makeup getting dirtied up as she nodded in desperation. I only smiled and stood behind her, helping her control her shaking hands, and instructing her clearly on what to picture.

"Don't think of summoning as forcefully bringing out a spirit." I said as I soften my tone like a mother telling her daughter or son a bedtime story. "Now Imagine walking in a forest and seeing a cute little bunny. Don't you want to approach? Then approach it gently not forcefully, steadily not quickly, pretend that bunny is in need of help and the only way for you to help it is by doing it slowly and accurately"

Evelynn followed it to the tea as she summoned a baby cub. Her eyes widened in surprise as the little cub jumped onto her lap and hugged her. It was certainly adorable with it's big and cute eyes.

"Thank you so much Princess Silver " Evelynn grabbed my hand and shook it.
