''Hiss so rich?''
Zach murmured, following the teens instructions and walking over to the counter.
There was a small piece of parchment, Zach quickly recorded his details for example the school he studied at, family history and key events in his life.
Of course this was just a formality, the government will definitely carry out tests using his name and info.
''Good! Now that the quota has been reached we can begin the next stage.''
Just as Zach sat down on the chair, the teen that guided him walked to the middle of the hall.
''My name is Franklin, I will be the Captain in charge of the Special Training Regiment. Those of you here have been specifically selected to form the 96th Regiment in the Nikton Government.''
Franklin stood at the front of the room, his body exuding an unrivalled confidence.
Suddenly a wind seemed to whip around his body. The air shook with energy as Zach seemed to see a winding river appear in front of him.
''As you can see, I have reached the Gas Refining Realm so I am more than qualified to lead you. The Government will assist you as much as possible to become Gas Refiners or stronger.''
''Your main task will be to complete the tasks set by the Government. Including hunting down Evil Players and in the future entering the battlefield between planets.''
The group of arrogant geniuses were quiet now. The aura from the boy in front of them terrified their hearts.
Zach seemed to notice that even the Peak Gas Refining Teachers were unable to compare to this boy!
''Of course there are also benefits. Everytime you complete a mission you will be awarded with Contribution Points. They can be used to purchase everything! Including System Points and rare items.''
''More importantly once a year, you can enter the Martial Arts Library of the Nikton Government and redeem one technique.''
These words caused the crowd to whisper loudly. Everyone had excited looks on their faces.
Although a lot of the people here are geniuses, Cultivation Skills aren't easy to get not to mention the Contribution Points!
''Ok quiet!''
Franklin spread his aura out, shutting everyone up immediately.
''These benefits aren't easy to grab however. In order to become an official member of the 96th Regiment, you must first sign this contract.''
Franklin waved his hand. Dozens of contracts appeared in front of every genius.
''Huh? This is similar to the Assassin contract?''
Zach controlled his split to look at the contract, curiously it had a similar format to the other one he signed.
''Hmm? It's bound directly to our bodies, if we break the rules our bodies will slowly be drained? Haha perfect!''
Originally Zach was worried that this would bind to his soul as well, but instead it would just bind to the Righteous Splits body.
Even if it dies he can create another one, signing this contract is nothing!
Zach quickly wrote his name down, however many of the other talents were hesitant. After all this is signing away your life.
''If you don't wish to sign it, you can leave now.''
Franklin spoke indifferently, his eyes flashing with appreciation when he saw Zach signing the sheet.
However his words caused five people to stand up and leave the room, most of them the older generation who were unwilling to be tied down.
''Good! There are 15 of you left. From now on you will be divided into three teams, you can sort them out yourselves and then choose a leader for the team.''
Franklin waved his hand, collecting all the contracts back. Before sitting on a chair in front of the desk watching the proceedings.
''Haha I am one of the Team leaders!''
Instantly a man jumped out from the group. He was slightly older, at around 30 years old with a long black beard and a confident look on his face.
''So am I''
Zach heard a voice from his side, and the young man that had fought the officer outside before him had spoken out.
''Me too.''
''No me!''
The geniuses walked out one after the other, arguing about who will become the leaders.
However Zach sat back and smirked in his seat. Looking at Franklin's face he didn't think it would be so easy to become the Team Leaders.
''Dam you!''
The first man to step out suddenly roared in anger, having been argued with by a bunch of children he couldn't resist it.
His fist flew out towards a woman's head. She had long blue hair and an arrogant look in her eyes.
''Fool.''
Zach just glanced at it and sighed. As expected, the woman's body burst out with a blue light the fist that flew towards her froze with a faint frost spreading up the man's body.
''No!''
The man yelled, his hair changing yellow and black like a Leopard as he rushed away from the ice just in time.
However the scene had a lasting effect on his body.
Quickly time passed. The geniuses competed and fought for the top positions with only Zach remaining seated. His eyes stared indifferently at the proceedings.
Soon the three geniuses emerged to the top three spots.
The first was the Golden Robed Young man that Zach had seen multiple times, Nicko.
The second was the Blue haired young lady, Emilia.
The final was a Dark horse that appeared. A skinny and short young man with scruffy hair and seemingly malnourished skin, Pedro.
''Pedro, Emilia, Nicko now that you have become the Team Leaders, you can choose who you want on your teams.''
Franklin smiled slightly. All three were good candidates with special Physiques or cultivation skills.
''I want him.''
The selection quickly began. Nicko started it by picking the Leopard man, while Pedro picked a runner up for the team leader position.
Only Emilia stood still for a minute. Staring at the seats only to see Zach still sat down. His eyes are not showing any waves.
''You.''
Zach heard her talk and walked over to her. His expression is not fluctuating. He had just watched their fighting, although they are each strong he realised how strong he really was!
He was confident even his Sons of Luck could defeat these geniuses in a one on one fight let alone him.
The selection continued, soon Zach was joined by three other teammates standing behind Emilia.
''Good! Now you have chosen, we will begin the next process. You are officially members of the 96th Regiment.''
Franklin's voice quickly turned serious.
''Due to the increasing appearance of Evil Players, you will no longer have the adaptation time that the Talents were offered before.''
''We have already received our first task today.''
Franklin led the teams over to a large table behind the desk. He pointed at the map that was laying down.
''This is the West Mill Warehouse. It was abandoned for the last decade after the company that owned it went bankrupt and no one was willing to purchase it.''
''But recently we have received information that it has become a nest of Evil Players. There should be no less than 10, with one Cultivator in charge.''
Zach heard this and was surprised so many Evil Players and the Government had only just realised?
''Our task begins tomorrow, we have been tasked with hunting down the Evil Players, you are entitled to all of the benefits from killing the Players and there is another reward.''
''Once this mission is completed the 96th Regiment will be entitled to the Property Certificate of the warehouse.''
Instantly Zach was confused. He understood the benefits from killing the Players is the attributes and System Points they saved, but what's with the Warehouse?
Franklin seemed to notice his team's confused looks and shook his head.
''Don't be so short sighted. Although a sudden increase in Attributes are good, it is much more beneficial to have a sustainable source of resources.''
''The Regiments aren't just another part of the Government, they are a separate force of their own! The stronger the Regiment the more resources you can get. Some Regiments even run businesses and have their own headquarters.''
Zach suddenly understood. Although the Regiment seems to just be a task force, in fact the competition is very serious. As Franklin continued to talk he learnt that once you join a Regiment you're bound to it for the rest of your career!
For example if your regiment is strong you can get promotions, more resources and priority training, but if it's weak you will be forgotten.
However this also means that they can own individual businesses, own property and factories. A 10% tax is paid to the Government but the rest is there!
''Haha we are in this together. Don't forget to work together and do the best you can, if we manage to rise the future is in our hands.''
''Not to mention as our Regiment continues to increase in number there will be benefits for all of you! Even our current City lord gained his position with the support of his Regiment.''
This was enough to excite the team, all of them excitedly began putting forward ideas for plans and actions in the group.
And Zach also felt greedy. The Government is the strongest backing on BlueStar, and the Regiments are the best way to get rich legitimately.
''Return for tonight, meet up at this spot tomorrow, once our first mission is complete I will take you all to the Martial Arts Library.''
Franklin quickly sent everyone away, returning to their prospective homes. At least before the Regiment constructs their own dorms.
''Interesting.''
Back at the Hotel Zach sighed before sitting cross legged. The Wolf Transformation Book opens in front of him.
The night passed quickly, and Zach's split was the first to wake up.
Quickly he changed and rushed towards the meeting point. But he found he was the second to arrive, the only other person was Emilia.
''Hey.''
Zach waved slightly before walking over.
''Hi.''
Emilia nodded back towards him, before turning away.
''Can I ask you a question?''
Zach continued to speak ignoring her disinterest.
''Go ahead.''
''What is the origin of our team leader?''
While he was in the hall, he seemed to notice that a lot of the rich kids seemed to know Franklin.
Emilia heard this and looked at Zach in surprise.
''You don't know?''
''Know what?''
''There's a reason why so many Geniuses showed up to compete for Franklins Regiment, he is the Grandson of a Director in the Government!''
''And his father and mother are both Administrators. As far as Family background goes he has struck the mother load. Not to mention he has two direct siblings who are both Envoys.''
