Chereads / Omni War: Rebirth Of The Supreme Knight / Chapter 11 - Unveiling Inkgrit's Talent

Chapter 11 - Unveiling Inkgrit's Talent

No one was aware of what Aizen had done apart from Dante.

Nullifiers!

An ability that only a Genesis Knight could use. The skill of being able to neutralize all kinds of magical elements and dispel them as if they never existed in the first place.

Simply put, it was something like anti-magic that could allow a knight to fight against a mage.

"Y-You..., how did you manage to use that technique?!"

Dante quickly drew closer to Aizen while holding both of the boy's arms tightly, ignoring Theoden.

Meanwhile, Aizen was not surprised or scared because he was suddenly grabbed by Dante. He just stared back flatly without bothering to answer the question.

The Nullifier was an ability connected to the soul of a Genesis Knight. And Aizen himself was a person who surpassed that rank far above it.

So, even if he returned to the past and was in his teenage body, the Nullifier would still exist because his soul was still him, Aizen the Supreme Knight.

But he was not fond of Nullifier because of Reeva's presence. He was supreme, capable of fighting like a knight and also possessing magic like a mage.

The Nullifier itself couldn't continuously be used because it put a restraint on his Mana. The more it was used, the more his Mana got driven away.

That was why that ability appeared in Genesis Knight and could comfortably be used because knights didn't have an abundance of Mana like mages.

Right now, he could use it without feeling any discomfort since Reeva's power had still not awakened within him.

Dante was confused as to why Aizen was not responding and instead realized that Theoden had fallen beside him. He then released Aizen and rushed to take care of Theoden.

"Are you alright? Please forgive my recklessness in not being prepared to stop you immediately." Dante said as he scanned Theoden's entire body for any injuries he wasn't aware of.

Black magic was not a taboo subject in all mage and knight schools. However, it was elemental magic that was as difficult to train and control as light magic. It needed special supervision and extra attention from a mentor.

Even if Theoden performed black magic without warning, Dante should be able to control the elements with ease. However, he momentarily forgot himself in awe, and that made his reaction a few seconds late than Aizen's.

After helping Theoden to his feet, he could only stare at Aizen with a declarative face. Unfortunately, he couldn't ignore it all and persisted in asking Aizen about this in class.

"Student Barthomelo, meet me after class later in my office.

"Other than that, we will continue studying after a while."

Dante told the rest of the students. Even though something unpleasant almost happened, he still had to continue studying because things were fine.

He couldn't cancel class like the first day before. Because at that time, he had to come under pressure from several parents who could be considered strong enough to suppress a Raven Academy professor.

Luckily, there was the principal. So, Dante wasn't put under too much pressure and was only given a warning not to dismiss classes over trivial matters again.

'Well, this class is indeed full of several prestigious families apart from the blood of a noble and aristocracy.'

Dante shook his head and continued to perform the seals with both hands. It was a spell for protection just in case something like Theoden ever happened again. It would instantly activate when there was a problem in the magic incantation practice.

Aizen returned to his seat while being watched by many students. Apart from that, Arman and Inkgrit gave him sharp curious glances. Even Theoden gave Aizen a confused look.

"Hey, Arman. What's that boy doing?"

"What did that brat do to make the black sword magic disappear?"

"Is that really what he did?"

"I don't understand what happened."

Arman's friends said in low voices because they did not understand. They didn't know what was going on and asked because they felt he was the one who knew the most among the five of them.

"Tsk! I don't know! Don't ask me."

Surprisingly, even though Arman said he didn't know. He knew about the Nullifier through his father.

'Tch! That brat is already determined to be a knight, huh!? And the fact that he's still in this class means he's running two divisions simultaneously.'

He then turned his attention to Dante. His hatred for Aizen only grows. 'He must be related to this professor!'

Meanwhile, learning was ready to continue. Some of the students, who later came after Theoden, were able to display their proficiency due to having come into contact with Mana earlier than the earlier students.

On the other hand, Aizen just sat resting his chin on his right hand. Theoden's events were foreseen in advance. Because it was still the same as at other times.

Just then, the Black Sword that Theoden summoned went out of control and threw the whole class into disarray because Dante was too late to cast the protective seal.

He also had several incisions from paper that flew around chaotically. And several other students fainted because they were pushed against each other by the strong suction of the black magic wind.

For this incident, Dante was punished with a salary reduction. It also resulted in Theoden being somewhat behind his peers in terms of magic.

'At least, I lighten Dante's burden. So he doesn't lose money for the orphanage. But still, I have to earn my own money.

'It's too much to shoulder the financing for my two class divisions.'

Aizen knew that he couldn't abandon the mage class after rethinking his original goal of stopping the Omni War.

Helping Nathan might be able to delay the weakening of the Aslan Empire and set back the war between the Asylum Empire and the Tucan Kingdom. However, Inkgrit's safety was more important as it related to whether or not those wars could be stopped by annihilating the arms dealer, the Brotherhood of Spectre.

If he fully resided in the knight class, it would be difficult to monitor Inggrit's state relying solely on Milo.

'The engineer.' Thought Aizen,

And at the same time, Inkgrit was the next student to demonstrate the use of magic spell casting. She quickly made the Mana Crystal in her left-hand light up. And not long after, the four basic elements appeared, floating in her right hand.

Fire, water, earth, and air.

The four elements spun and pressed against each other, contracting into a small ball.

The magic made everyone who saw it amazed and shocked. Even Dante did the same thing he had when he saw Theoden's black magic.

But this time, he had left behind a protective seal. So no matter how dangerous Inkgrit's magic was, it would not be able to break through Dante's magic defenses. After all, he was a 1-star Arch Mage. Higher level ranking than Mage.

However, if something happened that might be unexpected, Dante approached while observing the four elements of magic.

"Student Adler, this is the first time I've seen four elements appear simultaneously without using a multiple-casting technique.

"I guess you didn't even cast a spell at first, did you?"

Dante asked a question while looking at the magic ball in Inkgrit's hand. But not long after, the magic was dispelled, along with the dimming light on the Mana Crystal on Inkgrit's left hand.

He was relieved that the magic was gone and nothing dangerous had happened. However, he was still curious about the theory behind the four elements of magic. According to his experience and knowledge, it could only be done with double casting, triple casting, and quadrupling casting.

And those, who were capable of that ability, were only mages at the Arch Mage and Grand Magus ranks.

Dante could tell that the Mana in Inkgrit's body was less than that of a Mana Crystal. So, the student was certainly not an Arch Mage or a Grand Magus.

"Student Adler??" He asked, waking Inkgrit from her daydream.

"Ah, professor. It's...,

"I don't know exactly how, but I just tried, as you said. I felt the Mana like a part of my body or thinks of it as a second blood. After that, I thought about the manifestation of the magic I wanted to cast, but what came out was different from what I imagined."

"What is it, rather?"

'Energy.' Aizen replied in his head. He was not the least bit surprised, watching all of that from his seat. Originally, Inkgrit wouldn't show her magical abilities and talents now because of Theoden's incident, which should have stopped the class activities before.

But, because he had stopped the incident, Inkgrit's talent had to be uncovered earlier.

"An absolute energy."

"Sorry, can you repeat what you just said," Dante asked Inkgrit to repeat her previous words.

"I manifested that Mana to become energy. An element that is denser than natural elements and stronger than all of them."

Dante smiled subtly. "Mana only creates and allows you to control natural elements. Creating new elements outside of the magic ecosystem is impossible."
