"What about my brother?" I asked almost too sure that what he would tell me wasn't good.
"As I told you, I interrogated your attacker and he told me that your brother sent him here to attack you" Reynolds said and I scoffed in response.
"I don't believe you Reynolds"
"I guessed you would say that so let me take you to him, he's got a lot to say to you" Reynolds stepped back to gesture for her to walk out.
"I don't trust you Reynolds" I offered him a distrustful look. He simply smiled.
"I don't expect you to trust me but you need me, I know you feel that something is wrong" he said too sure. And that was the truth, I could feel that something is wrong.
"Ok let's go" I gave in and followed him out. The halls are clear as we walk past the large potraits. Most of the staff were at the coronation.
"Have you ever fallen in love princess?" out of the blue he asked.
"What does that have to do with anything Reynolds?" I snapped at him not knowing what my love life had to do with anything.
"Oh! No! you don't have to get angry I was just asking" he smiled happy to have provoked me as fast. "A bird told me that you have"
"Can you just leave me alone Reynolds, I'm in no moods for your games" I stopped and turned around to walk away. He grasped my wrist and pulled me flush against him.
I gasped trying to pull away but he was obviously stronger keeping me in place.
"What was his name? Oh!" his brows pulled up then his other arm went behind his ear. As if he was listening to something, "my bird says his name is Axel, where is he I would love to know"
I kept quiet at that point and looked away but he grasped my jaw and made me look at him. I couldn't look away.
"What happened to him?"
"I don't know" I said gritting my teeth.
My irises flared to a golden brown and Reynolds smile widened. "There she is"
"Are you happy now that you got a reaction out of me?" she asked angrily.
"I am very happy, someone needed to hear that" he let go of her with a victorious smile.
"Let's go" he led the way and she followed. But she questioned what he meant by 'someone needed to hear that'.

The dungeons of the royal prison were on the west quarter of castle along with the staff quarter. There was a petition to change the location of the quarters since they claimed that it was dangerous for them, but my father revoked and it gave the servants more reason to hate my father.
The scent in the prisons was rotten. There were prisoners in some cells but none in some. After walking for a while, Reynolds finally stopped. "Here we are"
The door creaked open with a loud noise that didn't really sit well with me. A man was tied up with a rope to his arms. He looked battered and disheveled and half naked with bruises on his torso and face.
I cringed at the sight and Reynolds made it worse by continuing to pour cold water on the man making him shiver uncontrollably. I watched as Reynolds proceeded to grip the man's hair harshly, "Speak up Harold, my princess here needs to here you"
Harold eyes opened up and stared unkindly at me, I flinched taking a cautious step back. "She is-" he coughed, "If I were you princess I would be running for my life because" he stopped mid-sentence.
"Keep going, you were doing so good" Reynolds urged offering him tiny slaps of encouragement. "What else should our princess do?"
"You're being lied to by that brother of yours and everyone in that castle, all you royalties are sick piece of shits" he finished, his hair being pulled tighter by Reynolds. I recited his words in my head like a poem.
"Why should I believe you, you're the one who attacked me?" I asked walking closer to him.
"He sent me to attack you, he killed your father and you're still staying here" his words were sure and precise even his pulse rate was even meaning he was speaking the utter truth. I could actually feel that he was talking the truth. Reynolds was looking at me then back at Harold. He didn't seem the least bit confused as I was.
It's as if he already knew. "Very good Harold, now let's go princess we're not actually supposed to be here"
My brows rose in surprise, "Should it be a problem when I am here, am a princess that shouldn't be problem, right?"
Reynolds chuckled slightly, "You have no idea who your brother is Princess"
"And you do?" I was irritated since everyone seemed to think that I didn't know my brother but I did. Or so I thought.
"Just wait and see, and by the way don't take your night tea" he said ushering me back to the main palace.
The castle was still empty since tonight would be partying and feasting for everyone else but me. My mistresses were in haste while helping me since they had better things to do. I sat in bed, awake, thinking and also waiting.
Thinking about the prisoner and all he told me 'You're being lied to by that brother of yours and everyone in that castle'.
What could my brother have been lying to me about, seriously. Or was he the one to kill my father, but how, he followed right after her that night of the murder. He took care of me and he loved my father, they had the best rapport so why would he? And his second statement, everyone in the castle.
Who else in the castle was lying to me since I didn't even speak with three quarter of the castle population. So who the hell is 'everyone in the castle'?
Waiting, for my night tea and with that thought, a knock.
"My Princess, your tea"
"Thank you Amelia, place it over here I will take it at some other time". Amelia looked alarmed when I said that as if it was a problem if she didn't take it.
"I am told to overlook that you drink all of the tea" she said softly placing the tea on my table.
"Who tells you to overlook that?"
"His Majesty" she says as if that should make me to obviously drink that tea but I decided to be sly.
"Ok" I offered a sweet smile that was followed by a sigh of relief by Amelia, "can you please bring my black shawl from my closet" I pointed to the door of my closet but also took just one sip of the tea.
Amelia pleased by the princess walked to the closet and looked for a none-existing black shawl. Meanwhile I poured the tea to in the small flower pot close by.
'Sorry flowers'
Amelia walking back found the princess finishing the tea. "This was very good, thank you Amelia just leave the shawl be I want to lie down"
"Welcome princess, have a good night" Amelia flashed her bright gold worthy smile and left my chambers.
