Prince Alexander really kept to his word about getting Raxithak cake.
However, the prince was seventeen now, and Raxithak just turned seventeen yesterday. So, instead of bringing bribes to the chefs in the cafeteria to make them some cake, the prince had the bright idea of sneaking out of the Monastery.
