Chapter 10: Confession
"You're on her side with this?" Yan Longwei raised his eyebrows as he stared at Cheng Lihua.
"No." Cheng Lihua shook her head quickly, "But I think she reflected more than enough." Turning her head, she saw Zeng Qingzhao staring at them.
The moment she made eye contact with Yan Longwei, she quickly looked back at the front! She looked like a tiny chipmunk. It was cute and pitiful.
"But she punched me in the stomach?" Yan Longwei couldn't stop remembering that. He could still feel it even now.
"..." Cheng Lihua stayed silent. This was true. Her face turned conflicted, wondering what to do.
Yan Longwei sighed, "Fine, I won't do anything."
"Really?" Cheng Lihua's expression brightened ten-fold!
"Yeah. I'm just making sure that idiot knows her mistakes." Yan Longwei wasn't really going to do anything. He just wanted to make her scared.
"Then pinky promise with me."
"Huh?"
Cheng Lihua nodded, "I want you to promise me that you won't do anything to Zeng Qingzhao."
"..." Are you 5? Yan Longwei didn't think Cheng Lihua would do something so childish.
"Promise." But the seriousness in her eyes made him unable to say anything.
"Fine." Yan Longwei didn't think much about it; he hooked his pinky fingers with hers.
Cheng Lihua nodded her head with happiness when this happened. But,
"Ahem!" The teacher coughed loudly, and the two turned their heads,
"I told you guys to share books. But why are you holding hands with each other?" The teacher scolded. With that, the other students stared.
Cheng Lihua quickly pulled her hand without a thought while Yan Longwei looked away.
"..." The stares said it all.
"Why is our goddess holding hands with him?!
"I'm so envious!"
"I want to be the one sitting next to her!"
You could hear their teeth grinding coming from all directions! Yan Longwei could only sigh.
I messed up. Yan Longwei was too focused on Cheng Lihua to focus on the people around him! He knew what was going to happen next.
Once class ended,
"What were you doing with Cheng Lihua?!"
"How was her hand! Was it soft like silk! Details! We need details!"
Bombardment. Yan Longwei was receiving a barrage of questions from his classmates. He was pulled by a couple of people to the corner of the classroom.
Each one with their own thoughts, wondering why they were holding hands.
"Yeah, I wasn't so focused on how her hand felt. Just surprised that she held my hand." Yan Longwei explained. This was the best excuse he could come up with on the spot.
"My heart raced when she did that." Yan Longwei said as he scratched his head.
"You were surprised?" But the person who shouldn't hear this, heard it. Cheng Lihua's face blushed.
"Uhh." Dammit! Why did she hear that?! Cheng Lihua was talking to Zeng Qingzhao. Probably to tell her that he wouldn't do anything to her.
Talk about luck. The students stared right back at him, wanting his answer.
"..Yeah." Yan Longwei followed through with it. That caused Cheng Lihua to turn red even more.
Snap!
"Well, I best be off." Yan Longwei didn't think as he quickly ran off. There was no way he could stay there. Not unless he wanted to get beat up!
And the place he went to was none other than a laughing Qi Li. He heard it all.
"Are you sure the two of you aren't dating?" Qi Li said it loud enough for everyone to hear it!
Are you trying to kill me?! Yan Longwei's face paled!
Qi Li poured oil into a raging fire! And it worked!
"KILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!" The death glare stabbed Yan Longwei in the back!
Yan Longwei shook his head, "How can an average guy like me date classmate Cheng? There is too much of a gap!"
"What-mmhgff!" Qi Li wanted to say something, but Yan Longwei quickly grabbed hold of his mouth!
"Umm, is student Cheng Here?" Amidst what was going on, somebody called out from the door. The person who entered was a handsome man.
"Isn't that Han Xiao?"
"Has the ace of the soccer team become infatuated with her?"
It was no surprise people would ask Cheng Lihua out without a thought. But to do it the second day she arrived? Now that was quick.
"Umm, hello, classmate." Cheng Lihua bowed her head slightly as she greeted Han Xiao.
Han Xiao's face turned red. She looked so delicate and pure: so he didn't hesitate,
"Please go out with me!"
Damn! He didn't even hesitate to ask right now! Yan Longwei didn't think Han Xiao had the guts to do something like that in front of everyone!
"I'm sorry, classmate. I'm not interested." Cheng Lihua didn't hesitate as she rejected his offer.
"I see." Han Xiao didn't think about it as he walked out of the classroom. But the damage was done. Because after he left, there was an explosion in the class!
"Lihua, do you not know who you rejected?!"
"Umm, I don't really know." Cheng Lihua shook her head. She was only here for a day. How could she know anyone besides the people here?
"That was Han Xiao! He's the ace of the soccer club! Apparently, he was scouted to be a professional player once he graduates!" One of the girls said. Han Xiao was one of the most sought-after guys in the school!
"I see." Cheng Lihua didn't think much about it. She didn't know Han Xiao at all.
Before she could say anything about this,
"Is Cheng Lihua here?" Another person came knocking at the door. Actually, he kicked the door open! This person wasn't as handsome as Han Xiao. But he was good-looking enough.
"Umm, yes?" Cheng Lihua tilted her head, confused.
The person gave a smug smirk. "Got to admit, your looks are up to par with mine. I'll give you the opportunity to be my girlfriend."
"Huh?" What in the world is wrong with this kid? That was what everyone thought as they stared.
