Xeris was still riding with the prince as they neared the palace at least that's what one of the prince's guards had said.Damian and his pack were beside the prince on their noble steeds.Geoffrey rode at the far end of the cavalry on a donkey as punishment for endangering Xeris life together with the prince's and Damian's lives also.The sun was starting to set behind the mountain tops and the stars started to appear slowly as the sky started to turn pitch black.
"I swear i will make Geoffrey pay for what he did."Xeris said in a shivering voice.
"Don't worry we are almost there just beyond the hill and we are at my home."Regaleon said as they reached on top of the hill.Xeris saw the palace and was memorized at the sight of it.
'Thats where he leaves?Does he get lost in that place?I get lost in the mansion all the time but here i will get lost in the hallways and forget where i came from' Xeris thought.
"Hold on tight to me or you might just fly off the horse."Regaleon said kicking the horse on the side making it go faster down the hill.Xeris wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her face on his back and closed her eyes in fear.When they came to a halt Xeris loosened her grip and looked around and saw they were already at the palace.
"Are you done snuggling the prince?"Daniel asked as he passed next to Xeris.Xeris just smiled before giving him a good hard slap that sent hi flying off his horse to the ground."
"That was my fault i accept the punishment."Daniel said standing up rubbing his left cheek.The prince helped Xeris down the horse.As they went towards palace doors two maids by the name Alexis and Maxine were waiting for the prince arrival and at the top of the stairs a man stood there and a girl that wore a cream white gown stood beside him.
"Oh no.My father and sister are here it isn't like them to receive me after a long journey whatever happens don't let my dad scare you."Regaleon said before they reached the king and the princess.
"Son who is she?"
"She is a traveler who had precious gems to come and sell to us but she got attacked and all her gems were taken and as she fled for her life she twisted her leg and fell unconscious near the path we were taking and i decided to bring her here for further treatment she hasn't talked the whole trip because of the whole incident."Regaleon lied.
"Is this the truth young lady?"Xeris didnt say anything but just nodded.
"Alright take her to the guest room and ill call the doctor to come examine her."the king said before leaving.
"Here let me help you brother."the girl said putting one of her arms around Xeris.They reached the room and Xeris sat down on the massive bed.The princess sat on the opposite side of the bed and looked at Regaleon.
"We need some privacy please."the princess said and all the maids left the room.Xeris slowly stood up to leave since she didn't want to interfere in a sibling argument.
"YOU SIT THERE!"they both told Xeris.
"Do you mind telling me the truth who she is?"
"I already told you and father who she is.Come on Clara do you think i would lie to you?"
"No.Sorry for that...before i forget Lucia and her step mom are here."
"What?Why?"
"Because of the engagement what else?"
"But i don't love her she is all ugly and wicked so is her step mother.I thought you said you will delay this thing for a while what happened?"
"Prince Kreston happened who also is here with his brother."
"Oliver?"
"No Nathan.Turns out father is also getting me engaged to him and i don't like him."
"Nathan or Kreston?"
"KRESTON!"
Xeris sat there listening to their conversation.
"No wonder the King wants you two to get married you cant agree on one thing.If it were me i would make that Lucia fall for one of the princes and the mother i would teach her a good lesson on forcing issues.To bad im not the one in their situation."Xeris said thinking that she could not be heard.She realized that there was a silence that was not there before.She saw that both Regaleon and Clara were looking at her.
"You heard everything didn't you?"
"Thats actually a good idea it will be a win win for us two.Will you help us?"
"I would my princess but i have an injured leg thus minimizing my movement.Unless of course some one with the power of healing heals my leg but finding someone like that is super rare so i cant help you."
