Alexa was dazed by her own look in the mirror. She looked everything she had never expected to be in a dress — elegant, attractive. She had never wore something like this before — something bold and beautiful. It was a simple black dress. Decent enough to flirt with her knee, and modest to have her covered, but somehow she looked different. Bold and sensual.
The one time she had worn something that could be likened to an evening dress was at prom, but even that stood nowhere in comparison. And she had bought that off the rack at a thrift store clearance sale.
She ran her hands along her side and felt the quality of the dress. No doubt she looked beautiful in it, but didn't she look a little bit unfitting?
Doubtful, she took in her side view as she wondered if Christopher would like her in it.
