Philipa was momentarily lost for words. She sat staring and unmoving in a silent wonder of how she could have forgotten something so pertinent...so true.
Something like Lina still being yoked and married to the unfortunate man she had regrettably chosen for a husband.
Perhaps the exciting thoughts of a second chance at love for Lina had eroded her of that horrendous truth.
Parting her lips, she didn't know what to say. "I... I'm sorry." She apologised, and Lina pushed forth a wan smile.
"You have nothing to apologise for, Philipa. It's no fault of yours, and I know you solely desire the best for me."
"That I do," Pausing, Philipa sighed, once again lost for words.
There was no comprehension whatsoever of Lina's situation. She was stuck and suffering from all sides simply because she made the mistake of marrying a monster instead of a man — a harmless mistake made by a young girl blinded by love.
