It was a cold morning, I was lying down in my bed, arms straight beside me and my eyes wide open. It was my first morning in Ehenye. Beside my window was a little bird happily chirping its cute loud morning song. However marvellous and romantic that supposedly should be, it wasn't. The bird was too loud and I was exasperated. I have read many novels and it should be freaking fantastic. Listen to those little things singing their song at the first crack that appears, you should be up enjoying this wonderful gift of nature and let yourself be fulfilled as a sense of complete and inner peace.

"Oo God, what am I thinking" as I tried to wake up. I heard someone knocking on the door and it was Adel. She came to let me know that breakfast was ready. I told her to go and that I would be right behind her. I woke up, stretching my back which was aching after a long journey. I freshen up and get ready to meet the family and have breakfast together. I greeted my uncle and he was too excited that I was dwelling with them. They felt lonely in the house alone, his wife died when Adel was just a little kid.

Adel prepared scrambled eggs with chicken sausages and she also made tea. The breakfast was nice.

"I can't remember the last time I ate something nice like this," I said in my mind while smiling at my uncle who was busy saying something to me but I couldn't catch up with him because my mind and everything was on the tasty food.

I raised my eyebrows as if I was pleased by what he said, but seriously I heard nothing. I smiled again.

"Your cousin can show you around the town and catch up with each other if you would like to"... said my uncle as he stood up heading outside for work.

"Sure uncle," I waved him goodbye.

Now it was only Adel and me in the house. I helped her clean everything and pack things. After everything, she faced me.

"So where do you like to go?" she asked.

I giggled and sit on a chair next to me. "thanks but I don't feel like going out"

Seriously I wanted to go out, but going out with this girl was like getting a rap over the knuckles. I mean she was even underage. She looked at me for a moment and she said.

"But dad said we should go, are you sure you don't want want to go? I have a party to attend, so be sure once and make the right decision because I will leave you alone in this creepy house. I'm getting bored also" she said rudely.

"It's okay love, instead you should go to your friend's party. I will be fine, I also need to rest." I said.

She hugged me so tight. "thank you cousin, I love you so much."

Adel went straight to her room, and in a few minutes, she was back already running with a bag, heading outside. Did she even bathe?

"Have a good day and there is food in the fridge. I won't take long. bye," she said and went.

I was alone in the house. I went into my room and lay on my bed. I checked my phone, and to my surprise, Valentine did not call or text. There were many missed calls and texts from my mom, Erina and my best friend Flavia. I called my mom back and we chatted for a long time, I even spoke to my sister. After calling my mom, I decided to call Flavia.

"Hlw friend, did you forsake me or why are you not saying anything? I have been calling you but you didn't pick up any of my calls, are you okay? How is Ehenye?" she said without stopping or letting me say something.

"Relax, I'm okay. I was just tired, so I slept and I didn't even get time for my phone. How are you, my love?" I said while smiling widely.

"I'm well, tell me everything. What is happening there?

Did you meet any guy?

Tell me." she asked with excitement.

Oh, Flavy can be too much sometimes. How can she ask me such questions?

"What are you saying?" I asked.

"I just moved here yesterday. I didn't even go out. Nothing is happening here and I'm even alone at home right now." I said with a tense voice.

"Okay love, where is everyone?" she asked.

"My uncle went to work and my cousin went to her friend's party," I told her

Flavy asked me why I didn't go with my cousin but I told her that I was tired and I couldn't go. She scolded me for not going with Adel and I explained to her that I needed rest and Adel was a teen, so I can't hang with her. Flavy understood what I told her.

"So how is valentine, did he text you?" she asked again.

"No love, he didn't text me yet,"

"That guy is something else. I wish....." she stopped without completing her sentence.

"He is my boyfriend remember, what else can I do? Now tell me what you wished for?"

"Don't worry, it's nothing. You deserve better. I mean just look at you, as beautiful as you are and you are just being sucked blood by Valentine. I don't know what he did to you, that you can't get off to him." Flavy said.

"He is not bad as you think. Anyway, it's okay. Forget about him. Tell me something." I said, trying to break off Valentine's story.

She kept quiet for a minute and she said:

"Promise me that you are going to leave a good life, you are going to make new friends and enjoy every moment you got. Forget everything bad and study. Please Mia." she concernly said.

"Alright, I promise."

"That's my girl. But don't you dare forget about me."

"How can I forget about you, you are everything Flavy. There is no way." I laughed.

We talked for almost an hour, and I ended the call. I woke up from bed and waddled towards the window, I saw people walking down the street, and I decided to dress up and go for a walk since I was getting bored. I put on a pair of blue jeans and a white shirt. I had put on a hat because it was a bit sunny outside and I took some money uncle Sam gave me last night. I went outside the house heading down the street, walking and looking around. It was beautiful out there.

As I was walking passing by some houses, I felt like someone was following me. It didn't bother me much, so I kept going and enjoying my work. After a few steps, I saw someone walking toward me. It was a man. He was tall and dark but I couldn't see his face. As he was getting closer, I looked down and continued walking. The person seemed like he stopped walking so I didn't mind him and I kept going.

"OMG!!, are you following me?" I screamed.

I was frightened because I didn't see how the person got next to me. I stopped walking and faced him. I was a bit disturbed by his cuteness. The tall, dark and handsome guy standing in front of me. He got strong and big muscles. He was smelling nice and everyone could smell the Penhaligon (The Inimitable William Penhaligon) expensive perfume. He moved away a bit.

"I'm sorry, did I scare you?" he asked.

"Of course you did, are you perhaps following me?" I asked again with my heart beating so fast.

"No way, I'm not following you. Can you please help me, it is like I'm lost," he said while looking around.

"lost!?"..... I giggled out of fear.

"Yeah" he quickly replied.

I was getting scared. What if he was a robber? But this guy looked rich and there is no way he would be a robber. Is he a scammer, does he want to kidnap me? I almost freaked out. I breathed in to calm myself down.

"My name is Phill," he said, extending his hand to shake mine.

I hesitantly shake his hand.

"I'm Mia"

"Nice to meet you, Mia. You are beautiful." he smiled at me.

"Thanks. I can't help you because I'm also new here. I just moved in last night." I told him.

"It's okay, don't worry. I will see if I can manage."

"Alright, have a good day and good luck in managing," I turned around to go.

"Would you mind, giving me your number? I mean, I can give you my number and we can be friends?" he said grabbing my phone from my hand.

Luckily my phone was locked and it had a password. He checked it and looked at me without saying anything. He held my hand and pulled me closer to him. He whispered in my ear.

"I don't want us to fight babe girl. You smell good though," he said while sniffing my hair.

He held the phone across my face and the phone got unlocked.

"Is he a witch? How does he know that." I said in my mind.

He typed something and he held the phone close to his ear as if he was calling someone with my phone. After everything, he gave me back my phone.

"Thank you beautiful, it was nice meeting you," he said again and he left.
