I looked around and saw a small village ahead.
Maybe I could use that as a distraction.
Maybe I could make some noise and attract some attention.
Maybe someone would help me.
Or maybe not.
But it was worth a try.
I waited until we were close to the village.
Then I started to scream.
"Help! Help! Someone help me! This man is kidnapping me! He's a monster! He's going to kill me!"
I hoped that someone would hear me.
I hoped that someone would come out.
I hoped that someone would save me.
But no one did.
No one heard me.
No one came out.
No one saved me.
The village was empty.
There was no one there.
Only silence.
And death.
