Selena's POV
The breakfast was superb, and I had fun talking with my old and newfound friends. I had seen Stanley and Skyler's friends at the academy with their girlfriends, but I always stayed away from them; I tried my best never to associate with their group since they belonged on the top of the social ladder of our school.
They only knew me since I am Stanley's best friend, and I am delighted that Stan never forced me to join them. He managed his time well, but I knew his rich kids' friends complained since he spent most of his free time with me.
"Thank you for coming, Joan," I said after we were alone in the garden of the Alcarazo mansion.
We could see from where we are the staff of the Alcarazo household was busy while Laura was the one in charge, and I felt so guilty that because of me, they became occupied.
