With her leading the way out of the cave I sighed in relief.
'Wow, I can't believe that went so well! Hehe, it seems this 6th disciple of his is quite naive about the world. I don't know much about her, but if this is how she acted with her master before then it was no wonder she was kicked away by that woman.
I suppose I can't really say anything though considering how I went out. Perhaps I only died because I had forgotten the cruelty of the world. The woman had such power to kill us, all of us. We were her competition, but her ruthless nature was way beyond what any of us were expecting.
With how things are going I'll probably be able to ask her for some cultivation resources later and perhaps then I can recultivate back to the top once more. With her position of a sect master it shouldn't take too long before I can be recognised as an expert.'
Finally at the entrance of the cave I could see lights, as we came closer the warm rays of the sun enveloped me. I basked in the sun as I was finally out of that cave. This was the first time I had felt something so nice in a long time.
Waking up in a cold and damp cave wouldn't be the best place to awake in, especially when right next to me at the time was a pile of bodies which were obviously defiled. I'm afraid if I didn't wake up in time I would be one of them.
Once the sun cleared up, I noticed In front of the cave were numerous cultivators clad in white robes. On the ground were around a dozen and up in the sky was a flying ship which flew a banner with the words simply; White Lotus Sect. From above I could see around another dozen heads poking over the railings and peering down at Li Daji and I, but I could tell they were mainly on me. Some had surprise and others had a look of shock on their faces.
"Go finish off the rest and return back to the sect when you all finish. They shouldn't be anything you can't handle."
Li Daji waved her sleeve at the dozen on the ground.
"Yes, Sect Master!" They said in unison before they all headed into the cave.
"Come onto the ship, I need a word with you first before we do anything. I've decided that we might as well speak about it ahead of time, there's no need to delay it for later right? The ship has a nice tea room we can sit in." Li Daji gave me a slight smile before she flew up onto the ship.
'Oh that's perfect! We can start to negotiate something, maybe she'll be able to give a large amount of resources for free since I'm helping out.'
"Of course that's a great idea Li Daji! I'll be right there."
I was becoming more and more excited about the idea. Immediately I flew up after her, but the difference in speed between the two of us was very noticeable. Though she probably wasn't even giving it her all she made it to the deck in only 3 seconds, I on the other hand couldn't even make it halfway in a dozen.
Although cultivators gained the ability to fly during Foundation Establishment it wasn't until the next realm when it would surpass running on the ground in terms of speed. It didn't help that I was only the 2nd layer of Foundation Establishment either, nor the fact that the flying ship was so high in the air.
When I finally made it on the deck half a dozen of the girls started to surround me.
"Sister! Are you alright?"
"What did they do to you?"
"Are you the only one who made it out?"
"Where's Sister Rue?!"
"How did you get out?"
"Here Sister! I got you a new set of robes to change into!"
Immediately, I was bombarded with questions as they cornered me.
"Everyone step back, I have an important meeting with our Sect Master, but I can tell you all quickly what happened."
When they did I recounted the experience I had when I woke up from the room with the pile of bodies in it to escape. Luckily, they didn't ask about anything before I woke up such as how we met them in the first place.
"Whoa! Sister, you're amazing!"
"Where did you learn that from?"
"So no one else made it…"
"Sister Rue! Nooo! Ahh"
"Here, Sister. Your robes, you should go and rest a bit since you've been through so much."
"Thank you Sister for the fresh set of robes, I'll go now."
As I was leaving that one girl's response kind of shook me for a moment. 'Where did you learn that from?' That was what she asked me.
'She was just wondering how I was so good as to be able to do that right? What kind of sect is the White Lotus Sect? Do they not fight like I do? No! I must just be paranoid! Oh god now I'm a little scared to see her, but everything should be fine. I just have to act like nothing has changed when I meet her.'
While I was changing I finally got a good look at my body and its scars. The way the scars lined up with the tears in my clothing I realized that these scars were all caused by those men. Normally, most wounds that would scar mortals would be able to be healed by the Qi within a cultivator.
The scars I had now were similar to the scars I had in my other life; they weren't ordinary wounds, instead they would cause long term scars. For most women their vanity was very important to them, perhaps this was their way to torture the women before they were killed. There are medicines in the world to get rid of scarring, but I never bought them in my past life, believing them as trophies and also due to the fact that they were insanely overpriced.
At one point I thought about buying one during my rivalries with the other women. I asked about his opinion and he had told me that my scars had a certain charm to them which to him made me special compared to the others.
Wearing a fresh set of robes I wandered around the ship trying to find the tea room. Once I found it I Immediately knew since there were two women guarding the exterior. But just before I could enter the room, the door opened and one of the women who I recognised as part of the group who surrounded me appeared.
It was the one who handed me my current robe. As she passed by me she made eye contact for a second before she started to pick up the pace.
I was starting to have second thoughts about entering the room, but before I could turn around and leave a voice emanated from the room ahead.
"Disciple Yi Feng, come on in. We have much to discuss."
At this point I could feel something was wrong, but as much as I wanted to run away from this situation I knew I couldn't.
I trembled for a moment, before trying to revert back to the confident woman I was beforehand. This facade that nothing is wrong is all I can think of. If I act guilty then she might just go ahead and assume I am.
Entering the room Li Daji sat at a center table. In her hand was a steaming cup of tea, it's wisps of steam rising from the cup.
"Come, Sit." She gestured toward a seat opposite her own. On the table was another cup of tea quietly sitting by itself.
"Thank you, Sect Master." I spoke while taking the seat.
"Oh? Not calling me Li Daji like you did earlier?"
"No Sect Master! It was my mistake earlier. I became a little too excited."
"Well you might as well call me that. After all you're no disciple of mine." When she neared the end of her sentence her tone became cold.
'Huh! I've been exposed?! So soon?! It hasn't even been half a day!!'
Suddenly, a heavy pressure descended on me. I found that I could no longer move my limbs. My head was pushed down as well and I could barely even lift it up.
"You seem to know a bit about me. I wonder who you could be?
Let me tell you something. My Master once told me stories about people who were able to reincarnate, or perhaps simply possessed another's body. There would always be flaws with them during their first moments. Memory issues, strange and odd behaviors they never once did before, and their amount of knowledge that shouldn't be possible with their circumstances. That's only to name a few, a few which you seem to embody.
Who knew that one day Master's stories would help me capture a fraudulent disciple."
Without even realizing when I had started to sweat. The constant strain of her pressure kept me down as I had to listen to her.
"Let me tell you a few things about the body of the person you are currently occupying. First of all they had a Life Jade on them. That of course had shattered long before we even made it to the cave."
'W-what? A Life Jade? So she knew I was a fake the moment she saw me?'
"Second, I had a bit of personal history with this Yi Feng. I had saved her life as an orphan, just as my Master had saved me, and she was always respectful when addressing me.
She was a shy and meek girl who never really expressed herself too well.
Do you remember that half a dozen girls earlier? Well normally the Yi Feng I knew would try to find every and any way out of conversing with others. The robe you were handed would normally never be worn by the Yi Feng I knew. She preferred to only wear her own robes, in fact she would have declined the offer in the first place."
'Of course she had to personally know the person I took over! It's over! If only I had been a nobody in the sect instead!'
She paused, taking a few moments to waft the tea and take a few sips of it.
"Thirdly, you seem to know a little too much about information you should've never known about in the first place. No one in the sect should know much about my past except for the fact that I appeared out of nowhere and created a women only sect 8 years ago. I bet you don't even know the alias I'm going by, do you?"
'Well, I guess this'll be goodbye again. Tch! What a scam of a second life! I want a refund!'
I heard the sound of her lightly blowing her tea as suddenly I regained control of my body. The immense pressure dissipated in a flash.
'Wait, she hasn't killed me yet? Maybe she wants something?'
"Li Daji, do you want something from me?"
She smiled a somewhat sinister simile as she looked at me.
"We've come to discuss something together here haven't we? But first I suppose we should do a few introductions. Well, I mean you, after all it seems you already know a little about me isn't that right?"
The cold sweat I had coated parts of my body and I could feel a drop run down my cheek.
"My name is Yi Feng." She frowned at my response.
"Are you still trying to play dumb?"
"N-no! It really is Yi Feng!"
"Hmm, I suppose I do remember a bit about Master saying that a person is likely to inhabit an individual that shares a name. Tell me, how do you know about me?"
'Shit! I can't lie, can I? I was never good at hiding my facial expressions nor lying. Maybe I could gain some trust if I tell the truth.'
"I used to be one of your master's suitors, but then that woman named Jing Xueying came along." At the mere mention of that name her expression turns cold.
*Crack* *Crack*
Visible lines and cracks appeared on the tea cup she held and a slight dribble of liquid flowed out.
"I see, I remember that one day two years before I was forced away from my Master that you all suddenly stopped coming to see him. Looking back at it now I suppose something happened to you?"
"Yes, She executed us, all of us and dumped out bodies into a mass grave. Actually it's a little ironic, I died in a pile of my rival sisters only to be reborn next to a pile of my supposed disciple sisters."
"Hmm, so that's where you all went. If I remember correctly you were the one with scars back then right? Seems that's another similarity between the two of you, though this body never had scars before this cave incident."
My eyes brightened a bit at her minor description of the past me.
"Yes, that's right! That was me, I'm glad you remember."
"That's enough about reminiscing, let's discuss what we really came here for."
