'Wife…he has a wife… how could he have a wife?! No, of course it makes sense for him to have a wife. If a man like that doesn't have a wife after four generations then who could?
Grandmother told me to make him fall for me. I know it was supposed to be a joke, but I think I might be feeling what she did when she first met him.
Maybe I'll do just that though, I can't just let the possible love of my life go without even trying! Grandmother, I'll get this man and once he falls for me it could basically be said that I completed your dying wish! He does have a wife, but… does that matter? That woman is just an obstacle for me to overcome! Who knows, maybe she's an old hag that I could easily take the place of!'
"Hello there Little Sister! Do you mind if I sat next to you?"
Interrupting me from my thoughts I looked up to see a mildly handsome young man come near me. With a quick scan of the surroundings I quickly realized he must be interested in me. There were still plenty of spaces to choose from, yet he still chose to come up to me.
"Oh I'm sorry! I'd like to be alone please."
"Oh that's okay! I'll just sit here quietly, just pretend I'm not here."
I could easily see through his act. Perhaps he was a little stupid though, usually people wouldn't to try leer at me while we were actively having a conversation. They would usually try to do so from afar and act as gentlemanly as possible when directly in front of me. This man actively ogled me for a few consecutive seconds at a time.
I didn't want him to be near, but I had a feeling that even if I moved the man would be stubborn and just follow me. Luckily he wasn't very close to me, in fact he sat around half a dozen spots down. The only thing was that he was actively staring at me without even hiding the fact he was doing so.
'Alright… well back to the task at hand. First of all I need to make sure I can still frequently meet him. From the signs he's shown It seems that if I don't do anything at all he'll surely become more and more distant with me. He's currently showing me great care, but that must only be because I'm just learning the ins and outs of the place.
Hmm.. should I show him the pendant and red jade? If I do he'll surely do something and from what I've seen of his character he would probably help me, but would that extend my time with him? The red jade seems to be able to influence his mind though I don't know to what extent. If I show him this red jade he might take it away.
If I just show him the pendant then it might work, but what if there's something linking the two jewelry pieces together? If there is, he would instantly know I'm lying and lose trust in me.
No, I should just be truthful. How am I supposed to make someone fall for me when I break their trust? I can't, at least not now. Once he trusts me more then I'll be able to start mixing in lies, only then would getting caught have the least amount of severity.'
"So.. Little Sister, What's your name?"
Once again interrupting my thoughts I gave him a sideways glance. The hall's lecture had been going on for quite awhile now, but he seemed to only pay attention to me. I'd been listening to the lecture, but only the most important parts.
This lecture was about how to better control the Qi within their own bodies. The lecturer showed the method and spoke in detail about it, but I only remembered the method to actually control it and that was only kept in the back of my head. After all I was still a mortal currently and had no way of even starting cultivating right now.
"You don't need to know."
"Ah! Trying to be mysterious are you? I like it! So when did you join the sect? I don't remember seeing you here."
"..."
"Ah? A secret huh? Haha, you're so interesting! We should chat more often!" As he laughed he showed a large smirk and from his confidence he eluded he must have felt that he looked immaculate.
'Huh? Is this man an idiot? I'm literally ignoring him, why is he still talking to me? This man might be a little more troublesome than I thought. If I was a cultivator I would surely show him what I mean.'
..
The lecture continued on, but this time I had moved down several rows to listen more intently. I could barely think with that man starting talking to me every dozen seconds or so. If I couldn't think about what to do I might as well try to learn as much about cultivation as possible.
Just as I thought before, that man followed me down, but he sat even closer to me than before. The most noticeable difference was that he stopped talking. He tried doing so as soon as he sat down earlier, but others quickly quieted him down with shushes and glares. Though I still felt his leering along with a few additional stares from others it was much better and more bearable than hearing his voice directed at me constantly.
'Now about this wife of his… I need more information about her. How am I supposed to find out about her? Perhaps I could talk about her with Big Brother, but I need to somehow steer our conversation into it without arousing suspicion. I should talk about that event earlier today. If I press him into talking about that then he might start talking about marriage on his own again.'

(MC POV)
Entering the Grand Hall from a large arched doorway a grand carpet trailed below me. The grand carpet was red with golden embroidery on the edges leading up to two seats which were raised just a few steps higher than the ground, being for both Ying'er and I respectively. Taking the first few steps 6 large columns on either side raised the roof up.
I was currently in the main room of the Grand Hall, the one mostly used for congregations. Towards the back 2 corners there were doors leading to separate areas such as an area for administration. The aforementioned area was the one I was currently heading to.
Along the way over I kept thinking of the same thought, how should I start to distance myself from that new disciple?
'Should I just simply make up some reasons? This would be the easiest way to distance myself with. Maybe saying that without me being there would stimulate her growth. Either way the faster I can think of a good reason the better. Just from this morning's accident alone felt like it was enough for me to want to never see her again. Why couldn't I think of anything at the time though? It was like I completely blanked out, forgetting simple and easy actions I could have taken to prevent that from happening.'
I entered one of the doors on the right before shortly reaching a room which looked like a study ahead. It was where I did most of my duties as the sect master. I sat behind a desk most of the time here and read through some reports that my disciples come deliver every once in a while. The only thing out of place for the study was an additional desk. The two desks were towards the back two corners both facing the center of the room which had a sofa and small table.
The reason there was another desk was because of Ying'er, she insisted on adding another desk into my study so we could be together while working. I didn't think much of it and just did as she said.
Before I could even step foot into the room an alluring voice came from the room
"Husband, you've returned!"
Right when I turned the corner into the room Ying'er appeared out of nowhere and hugged me. She wrapped her arms around my neck pulling me down slightly and I hugged her around her waist.
When she released me I got a good view of her clothing. She wore an elegant pure white Hanfu gown. The skirt was large and long, but just barely didn't touch and drag across the ground. On the cuffs of her sleeves a small trail of silk could be seen especially when she waved her hands or arms around.
Grabbing onto my hand she led me to the sofa and sat me down. She sat next to me and leaned onto my shoulder as she asked a series of questions.
"Did you escort her well? Did you have any trouble along the way?"
"It went well, there were a few little problems she faced, but overall it was good."
I can't tell her that this disciple somehow managed to see her husband's sleeping dragon.I don't think she would believe me when I would say that I just "suddenly" forgot how to teleport at that exact moment. I've been calmer in life and death situations, but a little young woman just happens to be too much for me?
"So have you decided on how to detach yourself from this new disciple?"
"No… I thought about it, but I don't know what I should say exactly."
"Hmm, how about we go and speak with her together?"
"Together?"
"Of course! If you feel it might be a little too hard for you I can help confront her. You don't have to do it alone if you don't want to."
"You know, that doesn't sound so bad. After we finish our work here we should go together."
"Alright, now that that's settled let's get to work."
She stood up from the seat and headed toward the rightmost desk.I stood up heading to my desk as well and once I sat down I picked up one of the nearby reports.
It was from my 5th disciple, with a quick run down the report was about an event that's scheduled to occur in around a month or so. I skimmed through the report and from the looks of it the event seems to be a low-level event for those who are just starting to cultivate in which they try to hunt as many monster beasts as possible within a set period of time.
'This must have been what she was talking about earlier. Luckily it seems I picked up the perfect person for this competition! How convenient about the cultivation requirements as well, it was like this event was handcrafted for her to do well in.'
..
As we walked the pathway to our new disciple's home Ying'er walked beside me without revealing a trace of how she acted when she and I are usually alone such as when I came home yesterday. After a while of walking we made it and I knocked on the door.
It didn't take long before the door opened and an excited girl enthusiastically hugged me.
"Big Brother! You're here!"
"Hey, I'm not alone this time."
"Huh? W-who is she?" As she hugged me she poked her head around my body to peek at Ying'er.
"Do you remember what I told you earlier about being married? This is her, My wife!" When I turned back to signal to her I saw as she gave a small wave towards Xue Jinzi.
"O-oh so this is your wife! S-she's very beautiful."
"Oh why thank you! I believe you look quite immaculate yourself, but please refrain yourself from making unnecessary contact with my husband."
"O-oh okay, why don't you all come in to chat?"
"That sounds good, come on Ying'er." When I headed to the living room there was an odd amount of time in which no one came over, but that changed after a bit and Ying'er followed by Xue Jinzi entered soon after.
