Synopsis
" Can you... Forgive me?" Hunter averted his eyes as he asked. He was too ashamed to look at her but he believed that she was his destiny. His one mistake was going to cost him his life. His most beautiful love. His beloved wife. However, for Grace, this was the most absurd situation. Hunter was the last person she would expect to marry. She couldn't understand how this type of man was standing in front of her as her husband. She still couldn't forget that dark night he lurked her into life! Moreover, he acted so well in front of her that even she was beginning to fall for him! Her cold eyes surveyed him. With a hint of contempt and vigilance in them. They were dark and questioning. Still hiding the faint fears of that night. After meeting Grace, Hunter's life changed. He reunited with his family and apologised to them and everyone he owes to. Then he thanked his friends and broke off contact with them. He embarked on a journey of atonement by enlisting in the military. He spent four years on it. Then he come back and finally started living like a normal person. Now people call him a kind person and a gentleman. He began training in the military to be like his ancestors. And now he was a captain of the special forces. Grace went to study abroad after that incident. She came back a few months ago. She was very alienated from the world. She never fell in love nor was she interested. But knew that marrying was an important part of life. Moreover, she knew she might never fall in love so when her family wanted her to have an arranged marriage with a well-respected military family, she agreed. She just wanted to meet that person to make sure he was as good as her family said. Either way, she was already halfway in as soldiers have always held a special place in her heart. Grace doesn't ask for love but she wants absolute loyalty. She wants a gentleman like her father. A person with clear and good morals.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Welcome Home.

At the XX International Airport in a developed country's capital city...

The doors opened as passengers walked out. They found their families and friends who came to receive them. Just like any other family, a small family of three stood there.

The father looked happy but not excited like others. The mother's love and yearning were evident. While their daughter who was in her early teenage years was very excited and anxious.

Finally, a young woman walked out of the door of the airport. She was wearing slim white jeans with a wine red shirt. Then she had a black trench coat over it. She also had black boots and a small hanging handbag. One of her hands held the chain of the handbag while the other pulled a large-sized suitcase. She then wore goggles and a brown mask to cover her face. It was her habit.

She was very beautiful and her mother used to cover her up before going out. Many people eyed her whenever she walked out without covering up. So she developed a habit to wear masks and long coats to cover herself.

Her ash blonde hair separated to each side and swayed beautifully as she took out her goggles and looked around. Her eyes had a natural coldness. They were alienated and out of the world. They were a light shade of golden. They shone brightly as the sunlight reached her face. She expressionlessly looked around.

Before she could find her family, a loud excited voice reached her hair.

" Sister!"

Hearing that voice, a smile formed on her face as her cold eyes got filled with warmth. She instantly turned around in the direction where the voice came from. And before she could look for the owner of that voice, she staggered back because of her sister's hug.

She chuckled helplessly and hugged back tightly. It was her dear sister. No one has ever evoked so many emotions in her as her sister did. She was very dear to her. She was her most beloved person.

" Don't run Lily. You could get hurt."

" You're finally back Sister! I missed you!"

Grace smiled helplessly and patted her sister's hair lovingly as she replied.

" I missed you too. Let me go now. I have to greet Mama and Papa too."

" I don't wanna!" Her little sister started acting spoiled. Grace smiled helplessly and held her hands as she said.

" Okay, then I'll hold you. Let's go."

Lily held her hand tightly as they walked towards their parents. They were just a few steps behind. Her father already took her luggage. As soon as she took a step, her mother moved forward and hugged her dearly.

Like Lily was to her, she was to her mother. Lily can be considered to be as important as a daughter to her. Even though she hasn't had a child yet, if she did, she knows that it would mean what Lily meant to her.

She hugged back her mother just as tightly. If after Lily anyone comes, it would be her mother. She loves her a lot and she's also the person who is closest to her. Except for certain almost no secrets, she shared everything with her mother.

Grace was a true introvert. She was an introvert from her bones. She was so silent and talked so little to strangers that she can even she called mute. She only talked like an average person with her family whom she really loves.

And unlike her, all her family was talkative. Though her father was not much talkative, he was not an introvert. It's just that he was more of a listener. He was definitely an extrovert.

Grace let go of Lily's hand and hugged her mother. She told her emotionally which she rarely got.

" I am back Mamma. I missed you a lot."

Halsey, her mother, has slightly red eyes. She got emotional hearing her mother. A smile appeared on her emotional face. And she said.

"I missed you more, sweetheart."

They let go after a while. Then Grace hugged her father. Lucas hugged her back and gave her a peck on the forehead. A warm fatherly smile hung on his lips as he said.

" Welcome home, daughter."

It may seem that since she loved her sister the most and then her father, it can create a misunderstanding that her father isn't that important to her. But if there is any man that she loves, it would be her father.

Her criteria for a husband was her father. She admired him and respect him. He was a kind person and important to her.

Today her father drove personally. He owned the biggest corporation in this country. He was probably one of the richest entrepreneurs in the world. He was an admirable figure not only to her but many. He was an inspiration to young entrepreneurs. He has his biology written on demand. He was asked for giving many seminars to encourage the new generations. It was because he started from a middle-class family and came this far.

Her mother and father sat in the front seat with her father driving while she sat in the back seat with her little sister who couldn't shut up.

There was a car in front and back with bodyguards. Lily was so excited to see Grace that she talked nonstop. She shared many things and talked a lot.

Then she was not satisfied with just that and again embraced Grace. Grace smiled and put a hand around her and let her lay comfortably in her arms.

They reached home soon. It took one hour and her little sister fall asleep in her arms. One of the cute and mysterious things about her sister was she can't stay awake for more than one hour in a car. Sitting in a car that is driving apparently makes her very sleepy.

Now that she was sleeping in a familiar embrace, she fell asleep quickly. Grace helplessly smiled with nostalgia. She was 23 years old right now. When she left the country, she just recently got 20 years old. And her sister was 8 years younger than her.
