Chapter 219. I am in Irreconcilable Conflict with Evil
---
Clearly, Cujoh Jolyne has been utterly exhausted in her efforts to lose money.
Her well-honed eloquence is undeniable.
Even Giorno couldn't withstand Jolyne's impressive verbal skills.
Of course, Giorno's reaction might also be due to seeing Mista and the others, who, after hearing Jolyne suggest that [Passione] might possibly join the "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" family, not as fans, but as actors filming the story with their own hands...
Let's not even talk about anyone else.
Even Mista and Narancia, who initially wanted to sabotage Green Dolphin Studio and were angry about the recent episodes of "Stardust Crusaders," had only one thought after hearing this.
How could they commit such criminal acts like sabotage or stuffing someone into a sack?
This is slander!
It's slandering them!
Everyone knows that [Passione] has an irreconcilable conflict with evil!
Yes, after hearing Jolyne's offer, Mista and the others decisively switched sides.
And seeing the expectant looks in their eyes, as well as the expressions of Bucciarati and the others, who, though silent, clearly showed interest...
And as Giorno, the elder, simply couldn't refuse the request of his great-great-granddaughter Jolyne.
With all these factors combined...
Never mind that Jolyne had previously enlightened (or rather hoodwinked) Giorno with knowledge about "chosen actors."
Even without that, knowing that their participation would not be immediately after "Stardust Crusaders" but would come in Part 5 after Part 4, "Diamond is Unbreakable"...
Giorno would still accept her request and use the remaining time to learn, making sure to meet Jolyne's expectations.
Just like those doting grandparents who, even when asked for the stars, will find a way to bring them down.
Thus, Giorno—Jolyne's so-called great-grandfather—had no idea how terrifying her resolve was, as she boldly declared she would become a rogue superstar in just nine days.
And in this moment of everyone's joy, even "Stardust Crusaders," which had been annoying her recently, now seemed cute and kind to her.
"Stardust Crusaders"? Meh.
Everything would improve as soon as "Diamond is Unbreakable" aired.
This confidence made Jolyne oblivious to the fact that Pucci, still part of the "Stardust Crusaders" crew, used the privileges she once granted him to apply for more funding from the finance department.
And even the Kamikaze Studio, ever since showcasing their powerful hidden talents in the OP of "Phantom Blood," had been closely monitored by Jolyne.
Had Pucci not kept an ace up his sleeve...
Or had Jolyne not hired fresh graduates or industry bottom-rung staff who were underappreciated despite their hard work...
Pucci probably wouldn't have figured out what Jolyne's plan truly was.
Due to these fresh graduates, whose spirit of learning was unquestionable, the only difference was whether they wanted to learn or not.
And as it happened, Green Dolphin Studio had plenty of "negative examples" that made learning unavoidable.
No one knew the industry's brutality better than those who had struggled at the bottom.
And no one appreciated the studio's pay, far above industry standards, more than them.
So, whether it was the former underappreciated staff or the fresh graduates, none of them wanted to give up this generous salary and return to the usual overwork hell.
Thus, they threw in 1000% effort, taking their work seriously, even actively learning new skills to outshine others.
As a result, Kamikaze Studio, which had successfully transitioned from the gaming to the film industry with Jolyne and Pucci's help, becoming famous across both fields, saw this as a way to repay their debt of gratitude, by teaching a little extra.
And this led to Green Dolphin Studio producing OPs and EDs with Kamikaze Studio's signature style, even without further collaboration.
Only after reflecting on Jolyne's actions did Pucci finally realize the "truth."
Jolyne's true intention was to cultivate Green Dolphin Studio's staff, preventing their reliance on Kamikaze Studio's high technical skills, which might cause laziness. That's why she forbade further collaboration.
After seeing how the Green Dolphin staff had caught up in technical skill after their work on the OP of "Battle Tendency" and the first part of "Stardust Crusaders"...
Continuing collaboration with Kamikaze Studio was now back on the table. This would allow them to experience more advanced techniques and learn even more!
Indeed, Pucci was planning something big for the "Stardust Crusaders" OP!
This marked the beginning of why, in Pucci's past life, the OPs of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" stood out, and skipping them became nearly impossible!
To better achieve this task, and to reflect the themes of fate and destiny between "Stardust Crusaders" and "Phantom Blood"...
The production of this OP, of course, had to be handled by Kamikaze Studio, with their exceptional skills!
"Yes, yes, the shot of Jotaro's finger twitching while he's standing still, and the image of DIO's hand piercing Joseph's chest with the blood vessels moving as it absorbs... these subtle movements must be hidden but shown!"
With these instructions, Pucci, now reunited with Kamikaze Studio, took up the role of supervisor.
He was guiding them—or, rather, spoiling the later plot details by planting all the Easter eggs from the story of "Stardust Crusaders."
"And the silhouettes of DIO and his Stand—what was removed for mystery's sake—can now be added back!"
This OP was starting to look just like the one in Pucci's memories!
Everything was set and ready...
Just waiting to give Jolyne, and the audience, a huge surprise~~!
