Chapter 173. Don't Come Any Closer

---

"Director Pucci... y-y-y-y-you... what exactly are you trying to say!!?"

After experiencing great sorrow and joy, seeing the mess that Cujoh Jolyne left behind, and watching Pucci, with just a few words, manage to wrangle these misfit actors and, despite all the limitations and suggestions, produce something resembling a passable script, the reinvigorated staff members now felt as if someone had gripped them by the throat, stumbling as they uttered the above statement.

"What am I trying to say?... Didn't I just say it? This is the Kira Yoshikage I know," Pucci replied calmly.

Of course, the staff already knew this! After all, being part of Pucci's crew, how could they not be familiar with the "Kira Yoshikage," who had some serious connections?

Plus, compared to many popular celebrities, Kira Yoshikage's looks were certainly not lacking. He had numerous admirers—though that might be an exaggeration—but the staff had a general understanding of him.

They were also deeply impressed by the self-discipline and strict routine Pucci revealed, something that 99% of the world might not even manage.

At least, they were impressed until now.

Maybe it was the example Pucci gave earlier, or maybe it was the odd tone Pucci used when reciting Kira Yoshikage's "self-introduction," but now the staff felt nothing but unease. Their bodies instinctively began to distance themselves from Kira Yoshikage. Suddenly, a large open space formed around him.

After all, staying up until two or three in the morning was already the norm for most of them, and some even pulled all-nighters. Kira Yoshikage's disciplined lifestyle seemed unnervingly abnormal in this crowd.

Especially since Pucci had used his own face to deliver this bizarre "self-introduction" of Kira Yoshikage. This wasn't just a case of something unusual being suspicious; there was definitely something wrong here!

"Oops—!"

Suddenly, a female staff member tripped and fell to the ground. Naturally, in such a crowded space, as people began to push outward, it was inevitable that someone would accidentally knock into someone else, causing them to fall. And considering the situation, women were often at a disadvantage in such circumstances.

"Are you okay?"

Due to his proximity, Kira Yoshikage was the closest person to the fallen woman. While he felt strange about Pucci singling him out and mentioning his basic information, which seemed full of malice, these details weren't exactly secret.

Besides, everyone at Araki Manor already knew about his habits. He didn't understand why everyone was suddenly rushing away from him, and so, with a smile, he extended his hand to help the woman up.

"I'll help you," he said kindly.

"Eek... Aaaahhhhhh!!!"

Almost instantly, as soon as Kira Yoshikage's smiling hand touched hers, the woman screamed at the top of her lungs, her voice cracking as she shouted, "No! Don't come any closer!!"

She scrambled backward on all fours, her face streaming with tears and snot, as she frantically tried to escape into the crowd.

Kira Yoshikage was left frozen in place, still holding his hand out, looking utterly awkward.

"..."

"Clap, clap, clap! Alright, now you've all seen it for yourselves," Pucci clapped his hands to recapture everyone's attention. "How terrifying can a person be when even the doctor says they're perfectly normal?"

He continued, "An ordinary office worker, carefully hiding among the masses, trying desperately to act like a normal, yet secretly perverted serial killer... Isn't that terrifying?"

"Mm-hmm, mm-hmm," everyone but Kira Yoshikage nodded furiously. It was as if anyone who hesitated for even a moment would be "offered" up to Kira Yoshikage.

"If no one has any objections, this is roughly the direction the story for Part 4 will take. I'll write up a more detailed script later," Pucci said casually. "But since we're not yet filming Part 4, there's no rush. After all, we still have a lot of 'Stardust Crusaders' left to shoot."

Judging by how much of 'Stardust Crusaders' was left to film, Pucci added lightly, "Plus, President Cujoh only tasked us with preparing for this upcoming project. We're not starting production on Part 4 just yet. Who knows, we might not even be the ones to handle it when the time comes."

Considering that Jolyne had split the duties between him and Akiyuki Shinbo, each directing different parts of the 'JoJo's Bizarre Adventure' stories, it was entirely possible that Akiyuki Shinbo might end up handling the filming for Part 4.

"So just get familiar with the story of Part 4 for now. We don't want to forget it by the time Director Shinbo steps in to help."

Forget it? How could they possibly forget!? Kira Yoshikage was standing right next to them! They couldn't forget, even if they wanted to.

However...

"Wait, how did I become a perverted serial killer?!"

Finally realizing he'd been thrown under the bus, Kira Yoshikage exclaimed, bewildered, "I'm just an ordinary office worker!"

"Hey, Pucci! Explain it to them!"

But by this point, nobody was listening to Kira Yoshikage's protests—especially since Pucci had already cast him as the villain of JoJo Part 4.
