Chapter 33. From JoJo to Kamen Rider

---

Is there something wrong with this world?

The commotion caused by the new episode of Phantom Blood, along with the unprecedented discussions brought by its new OP, was so widespread that even those who didn't pay much attention to this field might have stumbled upon related traces online.

Not to mention Jolyne Cujoh, who was already following Phantom Blood closely.

Despite the first episode of Phantom Blood having an unexpectedly strong start, which was far from being a flop, and the sudden surge in traffic driven by the unexpected decision of some streamer to watch Phantom Blood, Jolyne Cujoh felt something was off.

A work without famous actors, renowned directors, or a well-known studio backing it could generate such popularity? It seemed suspicious.

But that was just the first episode...

Knowing that the second episode of Phantom Blood would include an OP, and that the OP was created by the notorious Studio Kamikaze, Jolyne Cujoh felt a ray of hope.

Even if Pucci and the team she had carefully selected started to act differently, in the end, they would still have to face her final move.

She had chosen Studio Kamikaze after seeing their work firsthand. Unlike the hastily recruited Pucci and team, she had seen the potential in Studio Kamikaze's products, which led to their collaboration on the OP.

So, no matter how the first episode turned out, she was certain that the second episode would use the bizarre OP to drive away the viewers tricked into watching Phantom Blood by the success of the first episode.

If Phantom Blood became a big hit, platforms would seek them out, offering money to cover the production costs. Convincing Ryoko Kakyoin and the others to turn down such opportunities without revealing her system would be difficult.

She couldn't allow that to happen!

And then...

The release of the OP for the second episode of Phantom Blood indeed caused a tremendous stir. However, the reaction was not what Jolyne Cujoh had expected...

"Damn it! Are you guys at Studio Kamikaze out of your minds?! If you had this level of skill, why didn't you show it earlier?! If I had known, I wouldn't have hired you!"

Jolyne Cujoh was speechless. She realized that everyone working or collaborating with Green Dolphin Studio had unique talents.

Fine, let the world do as it pleases...

While Jolyne Cujoh was contemplating giving up and considering using her system's rewards to quickly bankrupt her father, others in the industry were also deeply impressed by the unprecedented OP of Phantom Blood.

"What do you think?" Shirakura asked Omori, his successor, during a break. "Will a well-made, Easter-egg-filled OP positively impact a work?"

"It should, but..." Omori pondered after replying. "It's really difficult."

"Condensing the essence of a story into a song or an OP isn't easy," Omori lamented.

The more one understood the industry, the more they realized the difficulty of creating an OP like that of Phantom Blood. Not to mention the budget Green Dolphin Studio invested in this OP, which would deter anyone with similar ambitions.

However, Shirakura wasn't looking for the obvious answer. Omori, gradually taking over Shirakura's responsibilities, knew they would invest any budget into the script first if they had the means to produce such high-quality OPs.

So, realizing Shirakura's ambitious nature, Omori continued, "So, I thought of a simpler use for the OP—"

"Since Phantom Blood's OP links the iconic scenes of its story, why not place our OP on the key scenes of our story? It would have the same effect!"

"The key is that it's cheap and definitely worth trying!"
