Not long after, Arthur and Ayumi arrived at the sidewalk beside the river, a place that was quite crowded with young people and adults on dates, instantly adding to the fun of the date.
Ayumi was even getting used to and felt very comfortable holding hands with Arthur. Occasionally her fingers pressed into his palm, tightening their grip.
"Arthur, remember not to make this public," Ayumi said suddenly when they were among the crowd.
"I know, don't worry," Arthur replied. "I'm not the type to get involved in scandals either. If people knew that I was dating the first princess of the Japanese Empire, I'm afraid I'd be on TV every day or even live like a celebrity."
"That's still better than the things that would happen to me," Ayumi replied.
She imagined this and thought that her position might be jeopardized if her actions became public knowledge.
Arthur just laughed in response and pulled her to the river's railing.
They stopped there and watched the ships passing by.
