Flint had an A ranked quest in hand; hunt a particular lizard and bring back it's tail. Normally, he couldn't take A ranked quests alone but since he had a platinum card, they allowed him to.
Certainly not because he was good-looking and the receptionist liked him or anything…
He did have his knight armor on but hid inside an old thick cloak, as that armor would have made him stick out too much. Besides, seeing him as a knight, some random stranger might have come and asked for help.
As he wasn't an official apprentice, he couldn't call himself a knight.
And he didn't want to either.
He was on a job.

The only thing he heard about it was that the lizard loved living near water.

Just plain grass and lots of it.
Some large porcupine-like monsters just roaming about.
