Evening.
They neared the city gates.
But-
"Something's wrong," Amanda said, stopping the cart.
"What?" Maros looked back. "Everything's fine."
He was driving and he was constantly watching for signs of monsters.
But there was nothing around.
"No," Flint got down, stared around. "Something's definitely wrong."
A breeze.
A fine breeze, lots of moonlight and barely clouds in the sky.
There was still some redness in the west sky.
They could definitely see the county entrance and even the soldiers yawning and all that.
Yet-
Flint sweated in buckets, almost panting.
Amanda kept an eye around, just as sharp.
She wasn't sure.
She really wasn't.
But something was wrong- and her instincts were screaming at her to run away, to warp away.
But!
"Up-" Flint said, rolling back as something massive stomped just before him- thrashing.
