Chapter 4 - Identifying my new family

As I opened the door, I was still lost in thought about my new life and family.

I now had a father in his late thirties, the leader of our clan. Like me, he had silver-white hair, and though his appearance was average compared to mine, his power was undeniable. He spent most of his time in seclusion, cultivating to maintain his strength. Yet, despite his busy schedule, he always made time for his family, which made me respect him deeply.

Then there was my older brother, my only brother, Chang Shin. While he was more handsome than my father, he still couldn't hold a candle to me. His white hair and smooth skin were admirable, but—let's be honest—not as radiant as mine. I chuckled inwardly, rating myself. He was always seen in his robes, training and cultivating diligently. As the future head of the family business, he carried the burden of learning how to lead and fight effectively.

Next was my nineteen-year-old older sister, Chang Chun. She was breathtakingly beautiful, with loose silver-white hair, flawless skin like my mother's, and a figure that could rival hers—though they seemed to be in a constant competition over who had the more "developed" assets. She cared more about her appearance than anything else, only training occasionally. Despite her power, she sometimes acted like a child, which was amusing.

After Chang Chun came my sixteen-year-old second sister, Chang Fen, the third child of the family. She was the serious, disciplined one. Always reading or training, her dream was to become an elite warrior. While her dedication was impressive, I wasn't a fan of her cold demeanor. She treated everyone with the same detached attitude, earning her the nickname "The Cold Witch," though she wasn't aware of it. If she ever found out… well, I wouldn't want to be around for that. She resembled a younger version of my mother, with her beauty still blooming.

Then there was me—the second son and fourth child of the family. At thirteen, I was undeniably handsome. My looks were so striking that I couldn't help but marvel at myself. "Wow," I thought, "the Goddess of Beauty must really favor me." How else could someone my age possess such a perfect face? My name, as you already know, is Chang Feng.

Finally, we had the youngest member of the family, ten-year-old Chang Mei. She was an innocent and playful little girl who spent most of her time running around with the maids. While she hadn't yet matured, her cute, delicate features hinted at the beauty she would grow into someday.

All these thoughts raced through my mind in mere seconds. As I stepped through the door, I made my way downstairs toward the dining room. There, I saw my new family gathered around the table. I had already accepted them as my own, knowing that eventually, I would come to love them deeply.

The moment I entered, they all turned to look at me.

"Little brother, are you okay?" they asked in unison, concern evident in their voices. My youngest sister, Chang Mei, simply stared at me, her big eyes filled with curiosity.

I nodded and walked to my seat, which was already prepared for me. My father sat at the head of the table, with my mother to his right and Chang Mei to his left. Beside Chang Mei sat Chang Fen, followed by Chang Chun. On my mother's other side was my seat, and next to me sat Chang Shin.

Once I sat down, the maids served the food and then left the room. It was a family rule: no maids were allowed to stay during meals. Despite thorough background checks, the risk of spies infiltrating our home couldn't be ignored. It was better to be cautious than to regret it later.

My father, his voice calm but authoritative, gave the signal for us to begin eating. Without a word, we all started our meal, the sound of clinking dishes filling the room.
