A piece of metal clanging in the air sent chills down Hermes' spine, day after day, his father wields metal.
His mother came into the shop with his baby sister.
"Hermes! Come look after your sister, Rhea!" He obediently came over to carry his sister.
"Where are you going?" Hermes asked. "I'm going over to Lola's shop, she owes me some money." Kayleigh said.
"Can I come too?" He asked, and Kay looked at her husband for approval, when she got nothing from his dead eyes, she smiled and crouched down to Hermes' level, her white dress made her look even more mesmerising.
"Sure thing." She said and winked. "But you'll carry Rhea, deal?" She asked, knowing that Fredrick won't take care of their baby one bit she put out her hand at the offer, "deal" he agreed.

Their cabin was surrounded with nothing but forests, trees, animals, and danger, Hermes heard rustling and stopped, making his mother to stop, he waited for a moment and took out his flashlight, and pointed at the bush.
Out of the bush.
Came.
A.
Rabbit.
Hermes sighed out of relief and balanced Rhea on his shoulders once more, she was quite heavy.
A couple of strolls more and they were at Lola's, apparently, because of how small their town was in America (a/n, Luke originally lived in America before moving)
She entered the shop, it was a 24 hour one, by night Lola found a way to keep running.
"Lols!" Kay screamed out as she gingerly strolled to the counter, warning Hermes to stay outside. Lola swiftly entered her post and attended to Kay.
"Hey, Kay!" Kay smiled. "I'm just here to collect the little you owe me, I guess it wouldn't be much trouble mmm?" Kay said politely.
"I don't have your money Kay." Lola, glared at her. "Uhmm Lols, we agreed today, I need the money for my son's school fees."
Lola looked around the shop and found no one else there, "Look, Kay, you're a nice woman, it's just that you need to go." Lola said, walking up behind Kay, to lock the door.
"Huh?" She asked. Her sentence was cut short when Lola's palm covered her mouth, muffling her cries as a 6 inch knife went through her back.
Hermes' eyes widened as he tried to get inside, dropping Rhea carefully outside the door step. He took anything and everything to smash the glass door open, after three slashes more, Kay's legs grew weak, and Lola was now aware of the little boy screaming.
The glass door finally broke but it was too late , Lola had fled through the back door, Rhea started crying and Hermes just knelt down next to his mother. He tried to find a phone, but there was none, he knew the only other phone was at home, he tore his mom's clothes and wrapped them around the wounds.
Afraid, Lola might come back and finish the job. He took her and brought her over his shoulder, and Rhea in one arm, and brought them to the cabin. He took the knife as evidence and began his journey.
No one knew how he was able to carry both.
It was strange.
But alas so is Luke.
He got back home, drenched in sweat and blood, his father dropped his work and carried his wife that was not breathing anymore.
He glared at Hermes. And the knife, "you... Killed her!" His father spoke, grounding Luke in fear, his mother was dead.
All the reprimanding and words of insult were just like a dream, his reality had no mother, he fell to his knees and wrapped his arms and legs in a crouched position, he held his hands to his ears.
And cried, he cried so much that Rhea couldn't stand a chance. He never cried like this before.
He never.
He was only six.
Why was the world like this.
He tried to save her.
But now he's a monster.
_Lola, when I find you, you will die on that day._
His thoughts were compromised and overshadowed by anger.
**High School for Luke.**
Glancing around, Luke tried so desperately to look for the boys toilet, everything was in Korean, every word was in a different language he couldn't bear to comprehend.
He glanced around and found a girl with the tag of student body president. Her crystal blue eyes sent a warning sign down his spine, but alas he had no choice, he strolled over to whom looked like his classmate, but he couldn't guess. Not just yet.
"Excuse me, do you know where the boys toilet is?" He asked shyly at the beautiful girl. She smiled and tucked her hair behind her ear. Her smile illuminated his world and he brightened up.
"Yeah sure! Take a right after the chemistry lab, before the lunch room you'll see it" she said, smiling, Luke turned to go towards the direction given to him. She turned around at the boy's shrinking image then she called after him.
"My name is uh. Jasmine" she uttered shyly. Luke stopped on his tracks, and stared into her crystal blue eyes and admired her heavily backed up British accent.
"Would you like some lunch together?" She asked politely, Luke put his head down, clearly flustered, to him, time stopped for mere minutes. Jasmine, feeling insecure drew her words out, stammering, "it's okay if you don't want to, I understand."
She drew her words out carefully, and nervously putting stress lines on her gifted face.
Luke just said.
"Sure."
A/n, that wraps it up! Hope you had a wonderful time reading. But hopefully I can finish the job...
Of part two!!!
