Chapter 2 - Chapter One: Pure Dumb Luck

Walking through the hallway a strong aura was sensed, like the swift wind the aura past, and held such great importance, everybody on the hallway was astonished but then scared, they stared at this beauty as she walked down the hallway in a suit and tie, no skirt was present however but a wide grin spread across her face as she read the company's full name at the door of the meeting room.

"Hmm Fiffy? What a name! Time to wow me" she said while opening the door, everyone in the meeting room were men, and her being the only female was quite alarming.

She stared at them coldly, inspecting and memorizing their names and faces in her head, she sat down on a seat designated to the "big boss". She looked around the air conditioned room and directly opposite her seat was a chair for the company's owner.

The blinds weren't closed so the warm afternoon light hit her face softly, everyone around her in the white room was whispering, everyone had a sense of astonishment, until one person spoke.

"Excuse me miss, that seat is for the big boss, I suggest you leave it before he gets here and becomes angry with you, we don't like unimportant people like foiling our plans" the manager spoke in Korean, Lia was infuriated, she hadn't spent her whole life in South Korea but she knew what it meant, she stood up at looked down on him coldly, her height was intimidating.

The manager stared at her trying to faze her with his gaze, but she only looked at his name tag. "Kim Long" she muttered, that name will stick with her. Mr. Long was pissed yet puzzled by her actions.

"Well, Mr. Long, how do you know the boss is a 'he'? How are you so sure that the boss isn't already angry, and most importantly how are you so sure that the boss isn't me?" With the last word everyone looked at her in surprise.

She stepped out to leave but everyone got on their feet and begged her to stay, she turned around and went back to her seat, not because of she wanted to but because of pity. Pity because this company won't make it far with the stunt they pulled and certainly won't make it far because their boss hasn't made it to the meeting, time was ticking and most certainly her patience was running, and running.

She sighed and put up three of her fingers, she put one down making it two fingers standing.

"Did you see that? Those were your chances to wow me, one gone because you pulled off that ridiculous stunt and one is going down any second if your boss doesn't make it any time soon within the next five minutes, I have places to be and I'm sure you all know that! And I can't certainly waste my time here, do I make myself clear?"

Her words were sharp as they were painful, everyone was still rooted in shock, until she said loudly "do I make myself clear?!" She said, filling the room with her authority.

Everyone nodded and then the door swung open.

A scent filled the air, sweet yet dangerous.

The scent was so powerful she had to look back and see who it was. Standing at the door was a Chinese man, similar to those anime boys she busied herself watching in her youth, only that he was way cuter, she quickly turned back after realizing she was practically gawking at him.

She slowly replayed his features in her head, long silky hair long enough that it touched his back and his hair was combed to perfection, soft red lips, broad shoulders, tall, built, his cheekbones and jaw line were outstanding and she could tell it was all natural, his eyebrows were long yet seductive.

She snapped out of her trance in the middle of her thought process, she wondered why she had let her guard down like that over a man. She wore a pissed expression on her face, not because he was late but because of her actions. She knotted her brows in contemplation.

"You are late!" She reprimanded him while she was still looking down at her laps. He sighed and went over to his seat, running his long fingers through his hair; he sat there with a melancholic expression. She crossed her arms expecting him to initiate the meeting.

"Good Morning Miss Aliyah” he said and her eyebrows dropped in discontentment, she snapped her fingers and shouted:

"Begin and quit making me wait!"

---

After the meeting was ended, she had little to no energy to do anything, the little company had potential but the mistake they made was too naive of them, but putting personal issues ahead of work is a mistake she vowed never to make twice, especially not in South Korea where everything is different compared to America.

She looked once again at the god in front of her, she admired his features after he called in a private meeting with her, everyone else was away as he was busy on his laptop trying to cook up something that will make her want to invest. She was staring at him coldly like she wanted to hunt him down, she looked at his fingers working on the keyboard and then he said in a low tone.

"Uhm please could you like not stare at me? I can't concentrate with your eyes on me" he spoke lightly, not to scare her away from investing in his company. She chuckled "Mr. Fiffy is afraid of women?" She asked in a sarcastic tone. "No I'm just afraid of beautiful women" he said, countering her attack.

Her breathing increased as the silence went on, Luke looked at her, finally lifting up his gaze from his laptop.

"What are your thoughts on the company?" He asked, trying to strike up a conversation. "It is okay, just a little bit of work here and there" she paused "not to mention the fact you need to let some so called 'employees' go" she muttered to herself.

He chuckled, "I know we just met but I can't have a guest without serving her anything to eat! And I'm sure you're hungry" he said.

"Two words, hell no!

I don't want to waste any time on this anymore, I've seen your company, nothing else I should owe you!"

She said, getting up to leave, her cold aura followed her towards the door, stepping out, she slammed it behind her.
